NJ Business Owner’s Window Display Depicts Obama as a ‘Witch Doctor,’ Features ‘Derogatory’ Acronym: ‘F.Y.B.O.’

SPRING LAKE, N.J. (TheBlaze/AP) — A New Jersey business owner’s Halloween window display which depicts President Barack Obama as a witch doctor is generating support and outrage.

The display in a window of Skuby & Co. Lifestyle Clothing in Spring Lake includes an image of the president’s head superimposed on the body of a witch doctor above the word “ObamaCare,” the “C” in the shape of the hammer and sickle communist symbol.

There’s a tombstone featuring a picture of the president with a stethoscope and the inscription, “I Told You I Was Sick.” A mannequin also reportedly wears a hat with an Obama acronym, “F.Y.B.O.” It was not confirmed that the acronym actually stands for “F**k You Barack Obama.” The Associated Press calls the acronym derogatory but does not say what it actually means.

Store owner Bill Skuby tells the Asbury Park Press the display is personal, not political. Skuby says he deals with “a 1 percent customer.” He says business has been thriving.

“My feeling about ‘Obamacare’ and all this other stuff — at some point you have to stand up to how you feel and I feel this is wrong and awful…I think this guy has just taken us down a path we could never recover from,” Skuby told 1010 WINS.

“There’s a skeleton above the gravestone with an Obama mask on and a crown because I think he thinks he’s the king,” Skuby also told WCBS 880′s Marla Diamond.

However, local resident Nancy Pugliese says it’s disrespectful and portrays the town as racist. However, Skuby says he is not going to back down.

“I don’t care what they do. I’ve had a black group call me a little while ago, they are going to picket me. Fine. Picket me all you want. Maybe I can get a customer out of the deal. But the truth of the matter is, this is the way I feel and we’ve got to stand up for what we feel. And at my age, I’m taking a stand and that’s just the way it is,” Skuby told WCBS 880.

Skuby told CBS New York that he was surprised about all the attention the display has gotten given the fact that he had the exact same display up last year but no one complained.

Hey, why isn’t Mr Skuby getting a big, juicy grant from the National Endowment for the Arts? Isn’t this kind of “speech” the ultimate in patriotism? If burning the flag is “patriotic” then YTF isn’t showing President Hussein as a Zombie? The solution is close at hand. Keep remembering that Obama was elected by only 30% of registered voters. There was a 58% turnout and of the people who actually voted, 52% voted for Obama. Multiply 0.58 and 0.52 and you get 0.30. Just 30% of registered voters saddled us with Obama. Forget about the polls and just vote.

  Excellent point. Voter turnout is important. In fact, I travel every week, but I will not travel the week of the election. I vote in person. Remember, Romney supporters MUST vote, because we are going up against all those fraudulant absentee ballots which will consist of not only “legitimate” Obama votes; but also ballets which pick Obama from all of those ballots that were filled out by Democratic election “officials” on behalf of the uneducated & disintrested. Not to mention all those dead people who happen to be Democrats.
