GOP Congressman Asks Obama Administration Official to State Unequivocally That the ‘Blind Sheikh’ Will Not Be Transferred

Following up on various reports that the terrorist attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi may have been related to the desired release of Omar Abdel-Rahman, also known as the “Blind Sheikh,” Rep. Patrick Meehan (R-Penn.) on Wednesday pressed Undersecretary of State for Management Patrick Kennedy to state unequivocally that the State Department will not consider the “transfer or release” of the Blind Sheikh from U.S. custody.

Meehan did not get the answer he was looking for during the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee hearing, however, Kennedy said he would try to get the official State Department position on the record for him.

“Reports have been made, public reports, in which it has been stated that the imprisoned Omar Abdel-Rahman brigades — this was on CNN — is believed to have possibly been one of the groups that is suspected of carrying out these terrorist attacks,” Meehan said.

Meehan then asked: “Are you aware of any determinations at this point in time, in which there’s been any discussions within the State Department for the potential transfer or release of the Blind Sheikh from American security?”

“I am unaware of any such discussions, sir,” Kennedy replied.

This prompted Meehan to follow up by asking Kennedy if he would make a concrete statement that the State Department would not entertain the transfer or release of Rahman. Kennedy said he could not answer the question.

“I’m not going to appear to avoid that question, but I am the undersecretary of state for management. I have a series of responsibilities and that is a question I will be glad to take for the record to get a complete state department position for you,” he said.

TheBlaze was the first to report, citing sources close to the Obama administration, that the State Department was “actively considering” transferring the Blind Sheikh into Egyptian custody. The Department of Justice has called the allegations “utter garbage.”

Since then, Egypt’s President Mohammad Morsi said he will do “everything in his power” to secure freedom for detainees, including Rahman.

Hillary lied to our face about the terrorist attack that killed an ambassador,…she lied about dodging bullets why would she tell the truth about anything?

She is as dishonest as her boss….her words mean nothing.

Time for the poor blind man to have an accident while on a roofing detail at the prison…then we can release pictures of the sheik’s body sprawled on the ground in a pool of his own blood. If Egypt still wants him after that…they can go pound sand….vultures have to eat too…or better yet, throw his lifeless body in the hog pen and let the hogs have a feast.

This is BS that we are even talking about releasing this murdering enemy of this once great nation.

Beware! It doesn’t matter one whit what the State Department says about the Blind Sheikh. They’ll swear up and down that there are ‘no plans’ for his release. Meaningless. OBUMMER WILL PARDON HIM once he loses the election. Wouldn’t it be a shame if the sheikh happened to die suddenly before that could happen.

It matters little what obama’s corrupt State Department says at this point – WE KNOW that they will not tell the truth.

Omar Abdel-Rahman and is going to be released – sometime between November 7th and January 20th – COUNT ON IT!

  Ok. We have established that. Now this is the burning A number 1 question!!! What the hell can be done??? Glenn said today on the radio show ppl in the State Dept. are scared, won’t speak out because they are afraid of the Admin. Congress is being slammed for partisan politics. We -the ppl- in BHO’s estimation are too stupid to see the corruption and follow the dots. What the hell are we to do, when there is no one out there who is in power that CAN stand up against these criminals to do the RIGHT thing??? When a POTUS thinks first about politics and NOT about the national security of our Country he is NOT inept or incompetant he does NOT DESERVE to be POTUS!!! Where do we go from here?? Everyone is saying they are positive that the Admin is going to do something outrageously dangerous not to mention freaking crazy and immoral yet there doesn’t seem to be an answer over what can be done to stop this insanity before it goes any further!!! .

The sub human Omar will be released or transferred same thing and he won’t be the only one because Barry will release cop killers after he’s thrown out of office. The pardons will be fast and furious between Nov 7th and Jan 19th.
