ABC’s Jake Tapper Confronts White House on Crumbling Libya Story: ‘Didn’t President Obama Shoot First and Aim Later?’

ABC’s Jake Tapper confronted White House Press Secretary Jay Carney on Wednesday about the Obama administration’s inconsistent account of the terrorist attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya.

Tapper explained that President Barack Obama initially accused GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney of “shooting first and aiming later” after he criticized an apologetic statement released by a U.S. Embassy, which falls under the Obama administration. Today, it is clear that the attack had nothing to do with any anti-Muslim YouTube video as the White House initially claimed. In fact, the State Department announced on Tuesday that there weren’t even protests outside the Libya compound before the attack.

These facts led Tapper to ask the reasonable question: “Didn’t President Obama shoot first and aim later?”

“I think your assessment about what we know now is not complete,” Carney replied.

“I’m just going by what the State Department said yesterday,” Tapper shot back.

Carney said there were protests in Cairo and other parts of the Middle East in response to the video, seemingly side-stepping the question.

“They said yesterday there was no protest,” Tapper interjected. “I’m talking about Benghazi.”

Carney said initial reports from the “intelligence community” suggested the attack may have been related to the video. He also called the situation in Libya “a moving picture.”

  I don’t have the time to look through all of the posts, so hopefully I am saying something already said. There is NO WAY that there will be a Hillary 2016. The only thing that I can say about her and the State Dept is she threw the Admin under the bus before they could throw her under the bus. Regardless, she is done (thank God).   Lets take a trip to the Carney-val, shall we?
  
  There are several prominent rides such as the Downward Economic Spiral (also known as D.E.S.), in which guests ride a downward spiraling roller-coaster, which ends with everyone being drenched in extreme poverty (except the operators, of course).
  
  Moving on, we find another featured attraction: the ever-so-wacky House of Delusional Mirrors, in which guests can see what they want to see, such as themselves being smarter,stronger, more superior etc; than they truly are. Needless to say, this wacky attraction is a favorite among liberals, democrats, atheists, as well as certain republicans, like John Bo-eh- ner, who spends much of his time looking in the mirror of courage, while being a coward in that pesky thing called Reality.
  
  And don’t worry kids, there’s stuff for you too!
  
  •There’s the wack-a-Freethinker game. (very similar to wack-a-mole except an iron hammer is used)
  
  • An educational bj/sodomy game where kids learn that lewdness is perfectly acceptable in Liberal Land.
  
  • A game called Obama Bucks where they are each given $50 in monopoly-like money and must figure out how to buy a $500 loaf of bread (Limit: 9 guests at a time. No winners yet).
  
  • Another game called Shred the Constitution, has the kiddies compete to see who can cut up replicas of the Constitution the fastest (with safety scissors, of course).

Carney at the 4 minute mark: “People who on the night of the attack, or the day after, claim they know all the facts,..aren’t being straight. And they’re in some cases, trying to politicizing a situation that should not be politicized. And I think many other people felt the same way.”

Couldn’t agree more, and in this case Carney does Romney’s job for him in calling out The One.

  Why isn’t someone confronting Big Chicken about what transpired during those 8-10 hrs? Surely they are not buying that ridiculous story about Stevens being hidden by the smoke? There were FOUR agents searching the building. They found Smith’s body. Where did you say you kept that truth serum, again?

  and respects his profession way too much,
  to allow himself to be swallowed

  More comparable to the beloved Tim Russert, than any other journalist-
