Obama Admits He Lost Debate and Offers ‘Polite’ Excuse

Ever since President Obama’s universally panned debate performance last week, numerous different explanations and more free advice than any man should have to listen to have been offered going forward. Indeed, the only man whose voice hasn’t been heard about why he thinks he lost has been the president himself.

Until now. In an interview with the Tom Joyner Morning Show, President Obama placed the blame on an interesting problem with which to diagnose his performance.

“I was just too polite,” Obama told the host.

ABC has more:

“You have a seven-game series, we’re up two zero and we lose one,” he explained. “You know, this is a long haul and I think that it’s very important for folks to make sure that they understand that as long as people stay focused, we will win this thing.”

“The good news is that’s just the first one,” the president said of last week’s debate. “Governor Romney put forward a whole bunch of stuff that either involved him running away from positions that he had taken or doubling down on things like Medicare vouchers that are going to hurt him long-term.

Listen for yourself:

Given this read on the president’s performance, he seems likely to proceed to a more aggressive line of attack at the next two presidential debates – a strategic choice which may shore up his base, but will have an indeterminate effect when it comes to undecided voters. The Washington Post describes Obama’s other thoughts during the interview:

Obama also pushed back against his own supporters’ doomsaying.

“By next week I think a lot of the hand-wringing will be complete because we’re gonna go ahead and win this thing,” he said. Comparing the election to basketball, Obama said, “You have a seven-game series, we’re up two-zero, and we lose one.”

He ended with a promise: “We’ve got four weeks left in the election and we’re going to take it to him.”

How Obama plans to “take it to” Romney is anyone’s guess, but it is likely to involve some of the Obama campaign’s more well-rehearsed attacks. For instance, look for lines about Romney’s background at Bain Capital, his tax returns, and the infamous “47 percent” remark.

There is a difference here – to admit defeat and accept blame for the loss on himself would be one thing; in spinning an ‘excuse’ he is giving himself a window out to deal with his narcissism. He still is trying to justify his annhilation in the debate.

I have to admit these Progressive/Anti-Colonialists are clever at lying. Too polite and civilized? At what point does a lie on top of a lie on top of a lie turn into the truth? Kind of like 3 lefts make a right…These people are truly evil.

I hope he does come off as “less polite” in the next debate and really “sticks it” to Romney. That should make an impact on his likeability ratings. Incompetent and an A$sH01e. Should drive another nail in the Obama coffin.

I hope Romney is listening to this and prepares even harder for the next debate. I hope Romney destroys Obama again so we can see just how the left spins that defeat as well. But we know the MSM won’t let Obama lose 2 in a row. I’m surprised they admitted he lost the first one.

The excuse is another “blame the other guy” excuse from the narcissist-in-chief. It’s not because the indonesian prince couldn’t account for himself and his policies, oh no….he was just being too polite (notice..once again Obama grants himself the higher virtue?) and that prevented him from answering for himself.

I don’t know why no one has brought up the possiblity that Obama was being texted the answers during the debate. That is why he seemed distracted and kept looking down to the podium probably trying to read the text on the screen of his phone.

Only the skewed polls had him up two-one. Zero was and is down 0-1, and with the can of whoop-ass Romney opened at the debate(Massacre) , Mitt is up 2-0.

Let’s get this straight…Obama thought his “5 trillion in tax cuts” was going to carry the day and when Romney took that away from him he was left with nothing but his smile, his charm and anecdotes about his “typical white woman” grandmother.

The coup de grace was when Romney said he’d never heard of a tax break given to companies for moving jobs overseas and Obama couldn’t give him the tax break in question.

Let’s not mince words..Romney knows economics and business very well..Obama is woefully under-educated on both. Obama can’t even grasp the simple logic that “more people working, means more people earning taxable income, means more people actually paying taxes, means higher revenue”. You don’t have to raise taxes on anyone..you just have to get people working at a level that’s beyond part-time and home employment. The empty chair can’t grasp economics 101 but it appears the American people did after Romney showed them. Nah..had to be that Barry was just too polite.

I was counting on the indonesian prince getting more aggressive next debate…he’s going to show that he was intimidated and is lashing out. It will backfire on the empty chair as his “nice guy” image goes the way of the dodo.

He’s not lying-he’s telling the truth exactly. He has refined senssibilities[the product of having lived abroad no doubt] and thought the public would see through Romney’s lies and about faces and recognize Obama’s aparrent silence and detatched bemusement as coming from his innate classiness.

He was not polite, he just could not come up with anymore off the cuff lies. See below.

Princeton Economist Harvey Rosen, who the Obama campaign cited in attacks against Romney’s tax plan, joined Tom Sullivan to discuss his recent claim that he has been ‘misrepresented’ by the President’s campaign. A press release this week used Rosen’s analysis to back up attacks that Romney’s plan would increase taxes

Ah, ROSE ELLEN, my dear: Your phony lord and master has the ‘refined sensibilities’ of a cobra. You show a lot more about your judgment when you post more-than-stupid stuff like that on this site.

Obama is the most dangerous person who has ever been ‘in charge’ in the USA. Millions of words will be written in the next 50 years about how close we came to loosing it all; how the WORLD came so close to loosing it all – all because of your paranoid psychopath who managed to get himself elected to the office of Presidency of this grand and glorious GIFT FROM GOD…this AMERICA.

Even with all the benefit of every doubt, kiddo, you can not begin to justify this demon from hell in the WH. WHY do you try? Surely you can’t be that brainwashed! You can’t name one thing this demon has done that benefits America whereas I can name thousands of things that he’s done to harm us.

hmm to make an illusion of choice Obama and Romney would score closer in second debate and Obama will win third as justification to change numbers for election. something like that because who ever count the votes determines the election and the spanish voting company is owned by Obama supporters and associated with George Soros. The problem is the United States is too large for such a thing to occur. A small country with a small population can be a lot more nimble on its feet; not so with a massive, lumbering system like we have.

That’s why the Founding Fathers intended the US to be a relatively weak federation of small republics. In our present state, such a thing could not happen. Not nearly as easily.

Barry subscribes to the ‘dumb and dumber’ playbook of excuses and tries to play them like a stradivarius violin. One of Barry’s most clever excuses is how Mitt used the ‘Spies Like Us’ playbook, where he was cutting the cheese to throw Barry off his game and Mitts hanky is proof. He used it to cover his nose after each glorious explosion. It was Barry who obviously need the Ammonium AD during and after the debate.
