TIME Publishes Year-Old Unflattering ‘Outtake’ Photos of Paul Ryan Working Out

Ahead of tonight’s vice presidential debate, TIME magazine published a set of unflattering photos of GOP V.P. candidate Paul Ryan that are nearly a year old.

“This was a photo session we did with him last year for ‘Person of the Year,’” said Richard Stengel, managing editor of TIME, on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” today. “He was a runner-up for person of the year and he obviously is a fiend about working out and he was showing his workout and this was pictures from that photo session.”

The show’s host, Joe Scarborough, compared the photos to a 1980s sitcom. “Look at the picture of him with the baseball hat,” he said. “The close up with the dumbbell. It looks like a 1980 sitcom. ‘Saved By the Bell’ or something.”

Four of the five photos have captions that label them as “outtakes” from last year’s session, though it’s likely all of them are.

The photos appear in this week’s issue of TIME, accompanied by the latest story in an apparently never-ending series of stories about Ryan’s P90X workout routine.

The photos also come one day after AP published a controversial photo of Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney.

  I think Time just screwed up from the reaction of the ladies here and elsewhere to the pics. To the libs at Time Ragazine most women actually find men attractive and vise versa .I know that is a strange alien concept to the lesbians your accustomed to working and socializing with but out here in the real world men and women are actually attracted to each other .

  I think they are saying that a politician must wear a suit 24/7. Thats the problem they need to get out with the real woking folks and get dirty, sweaty and maybe even get in the ditches and run a shovel. Remember Obama and his shovel ready jobs! The reason no jobs were ever produced is because he wouldn’t know a shovel if it hit him in the a_ss. Community organizing is one of those jobs where you always dress up and wear a tie for $6.50 an Hr or Min. wage.

Things like this and the photos of Romney bending over in front of a innocent little girl that the AP released are proof positive that the liberal media has become unhinged and are not even trying to hide the fact that they are 100% biased in favor of getting Odumbo re-elected no matter what. They are childish and immature in their desperate efforts and it will not only back fire on Odumbo, but it will back fire on them as well. People will turn against them for their obvious and obnoxious liberal bias.

  Anyone who doesn’t believe that the media is in the tank for the Obama Campaign is seriously delusional. They’ve really stopped trying to hide their bias, and when they do try to hide it, the attempt is so pathetically sad that it shows they really don’t care, or they just think you don’t care.

  This is an article about pictures. Some people who have no conversation of substance try to change the subject to sex, and make silly suggestions about the behavior of people who like Ryan. I think he’s CUTE, in these and all the pics I have seen of him. So does my 94-year-old mother-in-law and 75-year-old sister! The GOP needs to take a bunch of workout pics of this boy and splash them all over People mag and all those checkout line rags, and watch the women’s vote soar for Romney/Ryan. Sex sells.

I don’t find them unflatering. Makes him look like a normal dude, and that’s a good thing. Seems to care about his body and the shape he’s in, but at the same time comes across as not taking it too serious. Just makes me like him more. The last “curls” Biden did probably involved a highball and a 5th of single malt.
