Woman Tells Chris Matthews That Barack Obama Is a Communist on Live Television

(MSNBC)

MSNBC’s Chris Matthews confronted a woman outside Centre College in Danville, Ky., the location of Thursday’s vice presidential debate, who yelled out that President Obama is a “communist” while he was interviewing people about the presidential race.

“Who said communist down here?” Matthews asked, locating the woman and asking her why she believes Obama is in fact a communist.

“All you have to do is study it out. Just study it out. And you’ll see. You haven’t done your homework, buddy,” the woman told Matthews.

“And what do I need to study?” he replied.

“He’s a communist,” she said again. “And those of us who are not voting for him know it.”

“And what do you mean by ‘communist’?” asked Matthews.

“You don’t know?” the woman asked, looking genuinely surprised.

“No, just tell me. Help me out here,” the host said.

“You don’t know?” she repeated.

“I just want to know what you mean,” Matthews added, clearly amused by the woman’s ranting.

“Oh, I know what I mean.”

“Well, help us out. You’re on national television,” Matthews went on.

Assuming the woman may be a “birther” as well, the host asked her whether she thought the president was an “American.”

“On, no…Just because he was born here doesn’t mean he thinks like us,” she explained.

“He’s a communist, buddy,” she said one more time, prompting a mix of boos and cheers from the crowd — mostly boos.

Needless to say, the woman didn’t even come close to making any kind of reasonable argument to back up her claim that Obama is actually a communist.

  Matthews is well paid in his job to make conservatives look like boobs, and knows how to play the game in person with communications professionals, so the average “conservatives” woman on the street (I wouldn’t assume, as you do, a vote against Obama is necessarily Republican or even conservative) doesn’t have a chance to look anything but.
  
  Take, for instance, Chris’s probing line of questioning. “What is a communist?” How does one answer such a facetious inquiry that doesn’t allow for another to follow? The intent to deride is already plain in his seeking a definition, as if one were needed. Her opinion might have been occasion for Chris to run rings around her in defense of a “fair,” redistributive tax policy or some such. Instead, he chose to attack, in Alinskyite fashion, the credibility of a symbol of opposition, however small and insignificant. MSNBC’s core audience can’t have it any other way – see the badgering Matthews’ repetitive questioning generated in the Obama friendly audience.
  
  A good, on-her-feet, come back to his challenge that “you’re on national television” might have been to return with “You’re a host of a national television program and you have to ask me what a communist is?” But the point would’ve fallen on deaf ears and only lead him to throw another ‘attack’ question her way anyway.
  
  Committed progressives don’t need patsys. Any “conservative” they meet is cause to trot out their strawmen.

  Agreed, all she had to say is, look at his agenda and the policies he has put into place to dwindle the middle class down to the poverty level. No jobs, more government entitlements and class warfare. We continue to give money to communist nations to drill for oil and refuse to gain energy indepence in our own country by drilling for oil and natural gas.
  
  Socialized medicine, illegal imigration, gun control laws of the UN supported by this administration. The NDAA, the TSA should have been removed, but we have watched him offer up sacrificial offering of our service men. We have watched as they attempt to remove Christianity from the history of our great nation, our schools and our government. Replacing it instead with communist doctrine. To those who have much, get ready for a 75% tax rate. You can’t support a communist sized government beauracy with 50% of our wealth. We still have too much power. Take our wealth down to 25% and now there is tyranny.

  Encino- Obama would be a right winger in Europe? That’s funny, I think I recall many leaders from Europe coming out and saying that Obama was even to LEFT for them. This was within the first year of him taking office too.
  
  I am very displeases with this woman’s comments though. I don’t think anyone, regardless of party or side, should make such comments unless they can defend themselves. They do more harm than good. But, by that same token, that woman who has just lost her health insurance because hubby lost his job…she SHOULD be asking herself why did hubby lose his job? Could it possibly be because of all the restrictions and taxes imposed on small business? If she doesn’t know, she should find out. Because, isn’t that the Romney/Ryan platform? Shouldn’t she be on the other side? Unless, of course, she wants free health care. Unless, of course, she wants the community as a whole to pay for it. Unless, of course, she wants government to take money from the collective to fund it? Wow… that sounds an awful lot like, dare I say it, COMMUNISM?

  1}She may have figured he would just keep attacking.Seems he has a track record of it.
  2}Brain Fart– Deer caught in headlights effect.She didn’t expect to be on camera and was taken completely off gaurd.I’ve personally seen otherwise very bright articulate debaters have this happen to them.

After a year living in Seattle, her family moved to Mercer Island, Washington, in 1956 so that 13-year old Ann could attend the Mercer Island High School . At the time the school was known for teaching a radical curriculum emphasizing philosophy courses in Marxism. Val Foubert and Jim Wichterman, both Frankfurt School style Marxists and teachers at the school, taught a critical theory (Neo-Marxist philosophy) curriculum to students.   He has continued his questionable associations while in the White House appointing the likes of Van Jones (admitted Communist). He has used “Hope and Change” and “Forward” both titles of Communist flyers as his campaign mottos. He has advocated for wealth re-distribution, disparaged the tenants of capitalism and forced socialized medicine into this country.
  
  Obama is a Marxist. He has marinated in it his whole life and never sought anything different, indicating that it suits him just fine. The Democrat party has swung into Communism, any doubt just listen to this speech from Jack Kennedy in 1962, who does he sound like?

I am the daughter of a woman born under Communism (Stalin) and was motivated early in life by the horror stories of my grandmother and mother to investigate the beast. If anyone has been brainwashed, it is the American public who was never taught in public schools about the premises, the methodologies, language and goals set forth by the Communsit International which although it has changed forms, progress still today.

  She should have told Chrissy that Obama became a card carrying commie when he joined the New Party(communist) in Illinois for its support to get elected to the state Senate.
  He appoints communists who hold up Mao as a good example and accept the communist rule by the end of a gun.

  Labor Sec. Solis is closely tied to the DSA and CPUSA and made appearances at those organizations.
  He’s the student of known communist Frank Marshal.

  When a lying sorry ass communist is turning a nation communist on the sly, it does not come about immediately. It goes by degrees. It happens by legislation that is is given nice flowery names.
  
  Just because there is not a lot of blood in the streets does not mean that we are not tendingto government control of production.
  
  Fopr example, Hitler did not own large corporations in 1938 Germany, but they did what he wanted or else. When you have brown shirts beating the hell out of people in the streets for 15 years & then they become the police, you don’t have to pass legislation saying we are taking control.
  
  Obama & company are deciding everly last detail about health care & that is 1/7 of the economy (14%). they are making big decisions on enrgy policy that to a large extent control what happens. More & more every day. There are many ways to control the means of production. Not all of them are thru the barrel of a gun. But if not the gun then you need your votrt bloc & your mobs. Somethings never change. The Roman patricians (1%( had their mobs to gain & maintain power. Obama has his mobs now. A large measure of the impetus & brain power beyond OWS is Democrat astro-turf. My 70+ year old neighbor caught me outside recently and stopped me in
the yard and asked about the upcoming election. I could tell she was
unsure and hesitant at first. After I spoke my mind for a few minutes
she looked at me and said matter-of-factly “Obama is a damn Communist”

I knew right then if a 70 – 80 year old woman knows this for fact, then
it is most certainly common knowledge among the general populous.

I love that woman……But he is so much more……all bad. He’s an Islamist first, socialism is just a path he’s using through the UN to take down America. We are the biggest roadblock to the NWO. Its our pesky little constitution and armed people…….We have Sharia creep as well as UN creep going on. People whom believe in a God that gives you rights and free will are much harder to control than an world full of single minded jihadists. Once they eliminate god, then the NWO is the giver of rights. Notice the slow conditioning…….TSA, drones, camera’s on every street corner, license plate readers…..most find all these acceptable now a days. I don’t. Every keystroke you enter into your computer ……logged. A lovely broad definition of terrorist…..plus the NDAA. Obamacare…….EPA……IRS…….DOJ………I’m just not feeling real free these days. How bout you.

Who knows how many elderly people (specifically those that saw the rise of the USSR, lived through the Cold War, and dont really trust its alleged breakup) who know they arent racists…and know there is ‘just something about that guy’ (in reference to Barky) they dont like…but the Republicans will kill Medicare (btw any cat/dog food stories yet this election?)…were planning on maybe not voting? They this lady on NATIONAL tv says “He is a communist!”. BINGO! That is the niggling feeling of doubt with a name! The current president is a RED! Vote for Romney/Ryan secured.

I wish she had been more articulate, and detailed his mentors like Frank Marshall Davis, his association with socialist parties, his association with Bill Ayers, his advocacy of redistributive justice, his advocacy of the central government controlling more and more of our lives from health care to business to education to faith to finances, etc,etc, his belief that businesses “didn’t build it” themselves without government. She should have listed WHY he is a communist.

His grandparents were communists, his father was a communist, his mother was at least a socialist (and probably a communist), his high school mentor was a communist revolutionary, he “sought out” the Marxist professors at Columbia, he spent 20 years in a church preaching a Marxist (Black LIberation) theology, he started his political carear in the home of two Marxist terrorists – and this woman can’t come up with anything? Good God, talk about a sickening missed opportunity.
