During a campaign stop in Wisconsin on Friday, Vice President Joe Biden falsely argued that Planned Parenthood, the largest abortion provider in the United States, can’t perform abortions.
“Now these guys pledge that they’re gonna de-fund Planned Parenthood, which under law can’t perform any abortions,” Biden said, drawing supporting boos from the crowd.
The statement is misleading no matter how you look at it. What is uncertain is whether this is just the latest Biden gaffe or if he actually believed Planned Parenthood doesn’t administer abortions when he made the remark.
According to the White House, Biden merely misspoke. The Obama campaign moved quickly to clean up his misstep, claiming the vice president was actually referring to a ban that prevents the federal government from funding abortions.

Toward the end of the debate, Biden was asked to give his personal beliefs on abortion. He was trying to scare voters by talking about possible Romney Supreme Court appointments. He said, (At 1:18:47) “Do you think he’s likely to appoint Scalia or someone else…on the court far right…that would outlaw Planned Parenthood… ah, excuse me…outlaw abortion?” So, it’s about keeping PP in business. Right?

There was a big stainless steel sink – that food services/restaurant type. She said that in the sink was a pile of aborted babies. She looked down at the bloody mess of torn limbs, organs and ruined little faces. In that instant she saw the horror of “choice” and within days had accepted Jesus Christ as her savior. She said that she wished all women going in to those places would first have to see a picture of that sink. And those BASTARDS at Fox fired Drudge because he dared to show a tiny hand grasping the finger of the surgeon that was saving its life. When Fox says “We Report – YOU Decide” it is bullcrap.

The PP’s that perform terminations hardly “make all their money” off of the procedures. The total revenue related to those procedures is usually about 3-5% of the clinics total revenue. There usually was a small ROI and as PP are 501(c)3 regulated the monies ARE plowed into the majority of their medical services for underserved women and girls. The government grants are immediately applied to paying for the discounted medical supplies (birth control pills) with strict federal controls such as setting up separate bank accounts and paying for specific invoices, later independently audited for compliance.W/O the federal grants PP will not fold because the women and girls will still be needy, especially with Obummer screwing up healthcare, it just means that the nominal fees that they try to collect, just like any Medicaid type operation, will rise and other services, such as well-baby clinics or pre-natal care classes and visits will be cut. I did not always agree with the politics of the women of PP but I came from a medical family and I REALLY cared about the services we provided for these women and families.

If you think PP’s claim that they only make about 3% of their money from abortions is true, I’ve got some swamp land for sale. They play a shell game with companies and affiliates to muddy the waters of how they make their money so that they can still get government money. Don’t kid yourself. There is way too much scrutiny of what they do for them to admit that they make more like 51% of their $ from abortions. And Biden’s little Freudian slip that I pointed out spelled it out very clearly. I’m surprised that the conservative media didn’t jump on that. If you work for them, I’m sorry for you.

So how is stepping to the podium and slamming his opponent’s anti-abortion position, along with making statements he clearly knows advocates and supports abortion, how is that only a position of non-interference of others rights? It can only be viewed as political expediency or that he doesn’t actually follow the Catholic position. It is one the to recluse yourself and allow others to shape the discourse, quite another to actively fight on the side you claim is in opposition to your own beliefs. In his attempt to bolster Planned Parenthood and use the issue to slam his opponent for stating something he himself claims to believe, he should be openly criticized by the heads of the Catholic Church. He who is not with me, is against me. This ranks up there with those the Church openly banned from taking communion. Not my call, but makes me wonder where the two parties (Biden and the Catholic Church) stand in relations. He sure knows how to make himself look like a total hypocrite.

This is ultimately His battle. We pray for those around us and wait patiently for His return. No, I’m not in anyway complacent. I go and proclaim that Jesus is Lord and Saviour. What about the baby and the father of the baby? Don’t they have right’s too? It’s a horrible thing to kill an innocent baby…these little ones had no control over being conceived.
I used to believe in abortion…until I saw an exhibit at a museum (OMSI) in Portland, Oregon. I walked into this round room, with one continuous shelf around this room containing gallon jars stuffed with human babies. I was in shock. I stood there by myself in awe of all the different stages of unborn human creation. Some babies looked full term. Even the tiniest babies looked so human and fragile. There was no way I could ever consider abortion again. These babies were little people.
