‘Real News:’ What Threat Does the Taliban Pose Now?

Thursday night’s Vice Presidential Debate focused heavily on foreign policy–including Republican vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan saying it was important to make sure the Taliban didn’t retake power in Afghanistan. Ryan also said that he and Republican candidate for President Mitt Romney have been skeptical about the Obama administration’s negotiations with the Taliban in Afghanistan. Vice President Joe Biden scoffed at the notion that Ryan could presume to tell the Obama administration how to handle that task as the Afghan forces were doing just fine.

CBS’s Lara Logan would disagree, earlier this week saying that the administration wasn’t telling the truth to the American people about the strength of the Taliban and the incredible threat they pose. The Taliban has come into the fold again this week after they claimed responsibility for the assassination attempt on a 14-year-old girl in Pakistan – an activist for female education.

On ‘Real News’ Friday the panel examined the current threat from the Taliban and whether or not the Obama Administration’s negotiation tactics are making a dangerous situation worse. Watch a clip below featuring guest Sadanand Dhume of the Wall Street Journal:

Islam is incompatible with Western Civilization. The threat of this scourge, islam (there is nothing radical about it) must be to contain, eliminate and re-educate. That is the only hope for all.

You can not rationalize with the irrational.

The sooner we wake up and realize this the sooner we’ll be able to defeat these demons. But here we are 10+ years into this mess and the majority of people don’t have a stinkin’ clue and go out of their way with being islamic apologist’s.

Read the Kourr ran and then ask yourself could we really co-exist with a people who have this political/belief system. Don’t forget Islam is as much a political system as it is a religion!

The “THREAT” is not the “Taliban” ITS “ISLAM” We are at war with the ideology of ISLAM. That’s like saying during WWII we are declaring war on the Panzer Division and not the Nazi Ideology which is WORLD DOMINATION. The Nazi’s ideology is “IDENTICAL” to ISLAMS ideology. Their KORAN teaches them they are superior to all other beings on earth and that the rest of the people are vile creatures that need to be converted or ki11ed, exactly what they are doing in all the countries were there is a substantial Muslim population, burning churches and the genocide of infidels, JUST LIKE THEIR KORAN TEACHES THEM TO DO. Its SUPREMACY, plain and simple.

Their KORAN teaches them there is no other GOD but ALLAH and to destroy every other religion on earth and that this is the “DUTY” of all Muslims and if they dont then they are told BY THEIR GOD IN THE KORAN THEN they are ONE OF THEM. Meaning an infidel and condemned to he11.

The endless struggle of Islam to dominate all people in the world is codified in the Koran. It is an savage ideology that is inculcated into the minds of children, and that is the problem.

The west has repeatedly defeated Islam since its inception, but it eventually resurfaces again with all its original ignorance and brutality intact. They deliberately concentrate on the education of the young to maintain their ideology. In countries, such as the USA, Isamists target their host’s education system and work to subvert it.

They also vigourously target free speech because it is too easy to expose Islam for the insidious danger that it is. Mr Obama was complicit in the most recent attempt to create a UN statute criminalising religious criticism through his blaming the Libyan murders on a silly video. The administration has been exposed, but the Islamists continue to push it, regardless.

If the world seriously wishes to defeat this appalling ideology, then it must accept the fact that it cannot win all battles, and fighting some of them actually assists the Islamist’s goals.

2. Cut off the next generation of fanatics. Outlaw Islamic attempts to subvert the curriculum

  3, Require approval of the curriculum in Islamic schools and pay for fulltime supervision in the classrooms. It will be expensive, I know, but infinitely cheaper in blood and treasure than the current strategy.
  
  It will take fifty years to acheive a result, but a thousand years of fighting hasn’t acheived much beyond holding a line.
  
  The problem is that after a couple of decades, the socialists will call these actions discriminatory and demand their relaxation.

  It is true that we live physically far removed from the world’s centres of activity and conflict, but we do as much as our small size allows. We have committed our soldiers to Afghanistan, some of whom have been killed. One of our SAS guys earned the Victoria Cross for his actions there. We are a committed western ally – and always have been.
  
  The point that I was trying to make is that there needs to be a change in strategy if we are to permanently defeat these savages. Direct military confrontation knocks them back but doesn’t remove the problem. That much should be obvious.
  
  We need to nip it in the bud, to quote Barney Fife. If we don’t do something like this, then our children and further descendants will eventually be called apon again, and more of their hard income spent.
  
  Or we can just talk ourselves into giving the Islamists what they want in order to gain a little peace. Do you think that’s a good strategy?

  Quite frankly, i have no idea what you are referring to. We have a system of government that is based on fundamental rights guaranteed to every human. Government must protect the rights of all – if they don’t then nobody has any rights. If you are suggesting we ignore the Constitution in order to ‘keep away the bad guys’ – then we have already lost.
  
  Islam is a religion – therefore it cannot be beaten by government. So long as we maintain the protections of the Constitution for everyone, we have nothing to fear from the things you mentioned

  I am talking about EDUCATION not religion when I say that western governments need to take more control of children’s learning. Christians and other religions and denominations can be trusted not to turn schoolchildren into hatefilled suicide bomders. Islam cannot. The evidence for that is overwhelming. The UK has recognised the problem in their nation.
  
  I was not suggesting that the first amendment be abandoned, changed, or ignored. Quite the opposite, if you reread my post.
  
  Your “nothing to fear” comment is naive. Islamists are using western freedoms and goodwill to further their cause while laughing up their sleeves at us. The Muslim Brotherhood has stated in a formal strategy that they intend to use western freedoms to destroy us “from within”.

  Now, it has been well established that there are strong MB connections in the White House, and through those connections MB members have established themselves in most important government organisations in the US.
  
  The final objective is to install an Islamic government in the USA and other western countries (I’ll stop saying that, just assume what they want in the US, they want everywhere). That means Shariah. They will not require everyone to be muslim (at first) because they want to avoid rebellion. They want to ease the nation into it over a generation or two.
  
  As you have seen in The Project, they intend to target the education system. They are already established in the bureaucracy and they are now gently pushing for curriculum changes, recognition of muslim holidays, special conditions for muslims, and removal of certain texts deemed offensive – all under the guise of political correctness. The Blaze has reported on a couple of instances.
  
  In Dearborn, they are establishing an exclusive muslim community, ruled by shariah, where they actively chase away Christians. The Blaze has run a few stories on this. They are building mosques just as fast as they can everywhere that they can with oil money from the middle east. The Blaze has runa few stories on this, too.
  
  They are sticking exactly to the plan which has accidentally become public, and there is no reason to suppose that they will suddenly stop doing it.

We have no reason to be in Afghanistan. The 911 hijackers were not Taliban. They were not Afghans. We have waged a war and lose many Americans for nothing. Bin Laden could have been killed without the invasion of Afghanistan. We are broke and just as Bin Laden wanted we are dying from 1000 cuts. The Neocons on both sides have fallen for this trap.

The best plan of action is close 90% of our foreign bases. Leave a few strategic air bases and naval ports and pull our troops home. Quit giving these countries that hate us money and protection!!!!

Im not worried about the taliban..im worried about ISLAM. the talkiban is 1 part of a movement, just like hezbollah etc. its like a mc donalds or burger king…they are all fast food just under different names. islam is the problem here. we think because we defeat the talkiban or hezbolla or bobs house of jihad, that its over ..its not. ISLAM is the guiding force behind all these groups and individuals. just because they dont belong to a ‘known ‘ group dosent mean they are less dangerous. we better realize this quick and destroy the real enemy of freedom , America, and israel…ISLAM and muslims

  I agree! I think if the borders were closed now and no new immigration from the ME would help. We have to deal with the ones already here, but I think they would be put on notice.
