Iowa Baby’s Numbers Come Up 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14

Laila Fitzgerald was born 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14. (Image source: Des Moines Register)
Laila Fitzgerald is only two days old, but she already has some awesome trivia attached to her name.
The Des Moines, Iowa baby was born weighing 8 pounds, 9 ounces on Oct. 11, 2012 at 1:14 p.m. — or 1314 military time.
That’s 8-9-10-11-12-13-14.
Her mother, 26-year-old Katie Deremiah, told the Des Moines Register she had a feeling Thursday was the day, even though her due date wasn’t until Oct. 19. The birth was natural, with no inducements to speed things up, the newspaper reported.
Laila’s dad, 26-year-old Ryan Fitzgerald, said his father had mentioned the military time possibility that morning. A nurse noted it that way right after the baby was born, keeping with the hospital’s standard practice for recording time. Finally, there was the birth weight.
The family seems to have a flair for numbers, to say the least: Their son Jackson was born last year on Sept. 10 — or 9/10/11.

Posted on October 13, 2012 at 11:29pmMy husband’s brothers and sisters were born many years apart beginning in 1954 through 1964 on these consecutive days: 4/14, 4/15, and 4/16. He was born 9/21 in the middle of all that consecutivity.
My daughter was born August 17, on a Friday. Her son was born December 17, also on a Friday.

Posted on October 13, 2012 at 9:39pmDepends on how you look at it. The odds for any specific individual are very low, but once you get to to Oct, 11, 2012, then the odds increase dramatically. Somewhere, some baby was going to be born at 13:14 on that day, so the only real randomness was the weight. Looked at that way, the odds that SOME baby would have those numbers aren’t that long.

Posted on October 14, 2012 at 9:28amI go through this in my mind at times: the odds of someone winning the lottery is 100%. The odds of you winning it get a little harder, but someone Will win it.

Posted on October 13, 2012 at 6:16pmCute story. But, why in the world would you give your baby the last name of a man who still hasn’t married you after two children?

Posted on October 13, 2012 at 7:38pmI kept looking back at the article to check if I’m missing anything about the couple being married or not…There is nothing. Where did you get the idea that their not married? The mom uses her maiden name? Not all women uses their husbands last names, specially the professional ones!

From my sisters house you can push off with your feet on a bicycle and coast all the way to where Jack Whitacker grew up.
The closest river to Jumping Branch is the “New River”

Posted on October 13, 2012 at 4:40pm144 is a number God uses alot. Gas prices were $1.44 a gallon the day I threw a bottle of wine to get arrested so God could set my court day on May 1st. May 1st would not be on most peoples radar till 12 years later, or 144 months. God created the world in six days or 144 hours.
The day I threw the wine was March 20th 3:20 “Revelations 3:20″ Knock Knock Knock Penny
