Jay Leno Rips Biden’s Debate Performance: ‘Hope and Change’ to ‘Smirk and Giggle’

Jay Leno Rips Joe Bidens Debate Performance on the Tonight Show: Smirk and Grin

Jay Leno spent several minutes ripping Joe Biden’s debate performance on his show Friday night, mocking everything from the vice president’s teeth, to his habit of interrupting Paul Ryan while simultaneously calling him “my friend.”

He began: “Watching TV last night, I see this stupid infomercial for Crest white strips. Have you seen this? It goes on for like an hour and a half with this guy just smiling– then I realize it’s Joe Biden. I’m watching the debate…”

As the crowd laughed, Leno said the Obama campaign has clearly changed its platform to “Hope and Change” to “Smirk and Giggle.”

He then commended the moderator, Martha Raddatz, for “[cutting] Joe off after that third scotch and soda,” playing a fake clip of the woman explaining the rules.

A professional voice explained: “Every time Mr. Ryan speaks, Vice President Biden will have ten seconds to interrupt, and when not interrupting, he will smirk.”

Though the comedian made a few jokes at the expense of Paul Ryan and Sarah Palin, it was overwhelmingly critical of Biden.

Leno continued in his monologue, joking about Biden’s frequent use of the words “malarkey” and “my friend”:

And we also, we learned a lot about Joe Biden’s policies last night. As you know, he has come out very, very strongly against malarkey… And believe me, the pro-malarkey people are not happy. Who’s he running with, Calvin Coolidge? Malarkey?

Actually, there were a couple of really funny jokes during the debate, like when Ryan referred to the Saudis as our allies– kills me. And the way Biden kept referring to Ryan as “my friend.”

He’d go, “my friend,” and “my friend this,” and “my friend believes.” As you know, “my friend” is political talk for “up yours.”

The comedian ended with a clip of the debate, if the main characters were played by animals. Paul Ryan was cast as a meek cat, and Joe Biden as a wildly twitching chipmunk.

  Nope even in his humor he/they cannot be honest, attacking Ryan for not being allowed to answer the questions posed to him while being interrupted over 80 times in a 90 minute debate.
  
  It’s kind of like helping put Radical Islamist in power and asking why the Middle East is on fire Or the New Liberal puppets in the “intelligence” community, saying that the MUSLIM BROTHERHOOD is a mostly Secular organization.

If Obama is reelected the cost of electricity and gas will go even higher. We already use a fireplace for as much of our heat as possible. No going to movies. Guess the computer and tv go next. Big shots in Hollywood better have their money hid in the islands or Swiss bank accounts. Learn to chop wood.

  Not sure where you are but in many places it is illegal to use your fireplace… this will force you to turn on the heater, using more electricity and gas hot showers etc… ringing up higher bills… this will ultimately lead to more redistribution of American Wealth the other countries who provide things like coal etc… to America. And the mod as a kick dog, that was pretty good. Interesting enough, I’ve seen cats eat chipmunks and terrorize kick dogs(and bears as a viral video shows).

  Looks like Jay has finally seen the light – he didn’t research Obama and thought he was supporting a full blood African American. He then saw how his party attacked & destroyed a full blood black – Herman Cain. He has figured out that 4 more years of Obama there won’t be any electricity for tv’s so he will be out of a job. When Obama shuts down all the Nuclear and Coal producing generating plants the only power will have to come from the new plants with solar panels covering 50 miles of land and then the folks will have to charge up their flashlights because that will be a $400 electric bill for 2 or 3 hours service.

I can assure you that in that small gathering of twisted brain cells of yours you might “think” Ryan lied, because you are to busy drinking kool aid and letting others pluck the puppeteer strings attached to you, but he came to the debate with facts and addressed his facts respectfully and your blabbering idiot VP felt he had to interrupt Ryan because he knew he had nothing substantive. Biden acted like a petulant child because he had no other recourse. Obama and Biden have nothing but a FAILED record. He has only been talking about Biden and how bad Obama has been because he can feel the change in this country and how a very few actually are supporting this WH and he is trying to keep up to keep his audience. Although his wife is a big supporter of the women over there, esp in Afganistan, how does she feel about the muslim brotherhood taking over in Egypt and Lybia? They will force their law on the women there and torture them. War on Women! Yea, Obama has made it worse for women overseas by supporting these bad uprisings!

Jay Leno is starting to wake up way too late. His show is going down the flusher.
He’s had to take a major pay cut. Many of his employees have been laid off.

He can hardly drum up any guests, other than Demoncrats to be on his show.
All because, for the past four years he’s been in bed with Obama.

He has not dared to make any real hard hitting jokes about Obama or his minions.
But, he doesn’t mind bad mouthing good, decent, Christian, conservative, Republicans.

Jay’s band leader Ricky Minor, won’t keep his big mouth shut during Jay’s monologue.
It’s over Jay. It’s time to quit. You’ve purposely alienated half of your audience.

  I agree, I’ve always enjoyed Leno. He’s the only one I can stand to watch. While he obviously isn’t a republican he doesn’t shy away from ridiculing the left as well. Contrary to what other commenters have said, this wasn’t a first. That’s probably why he has the biggest audience for his type of show.

  I agree totally. I spent many years watching Leno, but ever since he moved back from 10PM he’s lost it. What finally convinced me was that his one-sided political attacks just got too much to deal with. 3 years after McCain/Palin lost and he’s still attacking her. In this past year, his bias has become unbearable. I’d rather watch old Frasier repeats (Kelsey Grammer IS a conservative!) than stomach ANY of the late night talk show socialists.
