See Beck’s Challenge to FreePAC Arizona: Are We a People ‘Determined to Be Free’?

Glenn Beck Speaks at FreedomWorks Event FreePAC Arizona

On Saturday night, Glenn Beck joined joined FreedomWorks to speak on the issues facing the country at FreePAC Arizona.  The crowd had spent a full day learning grassroots strategies to impact upcoming elections, and spent the evening listening to speakers that also included Dana Loesch, Matt Kibbe, and various elected officials.

Glenn Beck Speaks at FreedomWorks Event FreePAC Arizona

Beck’s speech began with a letter to George Washington, where he was told his “officers and men fought like men who are determined to be free.”

But are we still those people, he asked?

Glenn Beck Speaks at FreedomWorks Event FreePAC Arizona

We have a choice ahead of us, he says, and we must decide.  To help Americans think out of the box and rekindle the entrepreneurial spirit so deeply-rooted in America, Beck has started the “American Dream Labs,” where people both think and do.  That is where progress is made, he believes– with the American individual, not with the Washington politician.

After pointing out that while everyone is familiar with the concept of “the invisible hand,” few know that Smith also said “there will be no wealth of nations if you’re not a moral people first.”  And when we try to judge what is right and wrong and the system disagrees, like we did before 9/11, we sit back and let the “experts” take care of everything.

But then insanity entered our world, and we woke up.

Glenn Beck Speaks at FreedomWorks Event FreePAC Arizona

“We questioned things we didn’t understand and then even got to a point where we questioned those things we feared we did understand,” Beck stated.  “And then we got to that place where didn’t know if we wanted to question anymore.”

Many of us got more than we bargained for, Beck said, but despite how great it would be just to sit down and watch Survivor all day, we can’t go back to sleep.

Relating the national narrative to his personal history of alcoholism, Beck said that while you may think you’re dozing off into the American dream, it will be too late by the time you realize you’re actually in the throes of an American nightmare.

At that point, Beck briefly turned the stage over to Kalai, who also performed at “Restoring Love.”

Glenn Beck Speaks at FreedomWorks Event FreePAC Arizona

Beck continued to say that what we believe will come to pass, and we need to decide whether our children will be better off than we were, and whether we will become increasingly dependent on government.

And those who are pushing back against the system shouldn’t expect widespread support because, historically, that’s not the way it happens.  The original Hebrew of Abraham’s name means “other,” and those who have changed the course of history have never led from the center.

In the current context, the world has been going the way of mass dependency, massive taxes, and international laws.

“And then you came in,” Beck said to the crowd.  “A group of people who didn’t even know each other five years ago got together and changed everything.”

Glenn Beck Speaks at FreedomWorks Event FreePAC Arizona

“And that’s why the media pretends that you don’t exist, pretends that what you have done in the last four years doesn’t exist…You keep winning…!” Beck continued.  “They hate that!  And they’ve turned the country’s elite against you…they’ve done it before, they did it to Abraham, they did it to Washington, they did it to Lincoln, they did it to Reagan…oh well!”

When you speak the truth, Beck said, many will look you in the eyes and call you a liar.  So what you have to do is remember how you got there.  Stick to the truth, and remember that while you may not when a popularity contest, American morals “never go out of style.”

Here is video of Beck’s entire speech, via FreedomWorks (skip to around 21 minutes):

“Anybody who’s ever changed the world– they were most likely a loner, an outcast, a misfit, or– my favorite– a visionary,” he joked.

But just because things eventually come your way doesn’t mean you can sit back and wait for the tide of history to swing in your direction again, Beck cautioned.  “This is the time you were born for, this is the time you grab history and shape it for yourself, just like every generation of Americans in the past.  If you want to do something great, you have to be bold, and you have to be principled.”

Beck then told the crowd that– among the other things Americans were the first at– we were the first to say that a man’s work and a man’s ideas belong to him.  According to Abraham Lincoln, this is the fire of invention.

And though not all ideas necessarily come at the right time– or even on purpose– Beck reiterated that hard work and innovation are cornerstones of the country.

Glenn Beck Speaks at FreedomWorks Event FreePAC Arizona

“That’s how America is.  We love the dreamers– we always have– and the inventors and the people who see an opportunity around every corner.  We are the people who cured polio and HIV, sent a man to the moon, watered the desert, and made our great plains into the breadbasket of the world.”

But now, Beck said, that idea is threatened greed– people wanting what you have.”

Glenn Beck Speaks at FreedomWorks Event FreePAC Arizona

He explained: “Too many Americans look at success and they are jealous.  They see what others have, what others have earned, and they say: ‘I want that too!’  But instead of working for it, instead of developing their own ideas…They just go and take it.”

“This election is about whether the American people will stand up and say enough!  Enough with the greed, enough with the class warfare…let’s rebuild America!  A society that builds and prospers, that cares for those who still struggle.  We can’t be a country that settles into the middle of a mushy mediocrity.”

Glenn Beck Speaks at FreedomWorks Event FreePAC Arizona

After saying how many things have never happened in the history of America until now, Beck reiterated how important this election is.  And while the problems won’t be solved with politicians, they certainly can inflict a lot of damage.

“The sky is still wide open and there is no telling what waits just over the horizon for those who dare to dream and do,” Beck said.  And so, referencing Washington’s letter, he declared: “Let us behave like men who are determined to be free.”

Let’s stand for something again, and have the world say, “Oh thank goodness, America– it’s good to see you back.”

This isn’t a three week thing, Beck cautioned, this is just the beginning.

Beck concluded his speech:

“But at the end of the day, we will hold up our hands and we will say these are the hands of a free man, these are the hands of Americans, these are the hands that built and re-built the world.  This is your moment, this is the American moment, this is the moment we get up off the mat and give a knock-out punch to the bullies of the world, and set man free once again.  God bless and long live the American Republic.”

Thank you very much Glenn for your terrific job in continuing to educated and open up the minds of the humanoids across the country… too bad your name isn’t on the ballot…. This country would be fixed, criminals would be punished, TLC would be off the air, our school systems would be non-propaganda and non-indoctrinating with all new teachers who actually educate and actually care…. but no… nobody put your name on the ballot… how about next time you silly blind wise-acres!

Thanks again… I printed this out for my files… and I must add, could the “Mom” sitting right there next to her 2 Daughters in the above photo – please put a shirt on both your Daughters that actually fit instead of their boobs popping out of their shirts. Like we always say… it’s always infront of the parents blind eye and they never do anything… and at a respectable meeting place… geez oh man Mom – wake up! All I could see was boobs instead of faces in the picture. PUT A REAL SHIRT ON YOUR CHILD!! Children should not have cleavage pouring out of their shirt!!!!!!!!! Geez oh man!!!!!

Even though I love hearing Glenn Beck speak, and love some of the ideas he talks about, there is one problem, and that is that Romney and the RNC changed the rules at the convention, against the nays of the people, that will crush ANY grassroots movement going forward. So, how are the grassroots going to be able to accomplish anything? Man, people need to start understanding the consequences of holding their nose for another establishment pick candidate. This is most likely the last year we will have any chance at sending a clear message to both parties. But, you guys will still keep sand in your eyes from sticking your heads in the sand and you will again crawl through the stench of a sewer, holding your noses all the way, to vote for a guy that will continue to send us over the cliff to a world economic system (OWO). All I can really say is ??????????

Incredible speech….Positive, uplifting, hopeful, truthful, honest, and powerful. What a sensational contrast to the current administration and the positions they take on most of the issues faced by Americans.

“Always bear in mind that your own resolution to succeed is more important than any other.” – Abraham Lincoln

For God’s sake, Romney is anything but the “Party” choice. If there had been a Party choice, it would’ve been Newt Gingrich and not even him because the “Party” kicked him out. As for 5% of Paul votes would have done what? Lets take from the winner of 65% of the vote and give it to the 5%. Does that make any sense?

Lets say we lose any of those key states by less than 5%, would you be able to sleep well knowing that you had a hand in the end of the republic?

If holding your nose helps and you refuse to do it, get a cloth’s pin or have someone hold it for you.

The reason we have a two “Party” system is to justify the winner as he won more than half of the electorate.

It’s a runoff type system, where as many candidates as decide to throw their hat in the ring can do so but when we come to the end we have one winner. Like it or not, that’s who the country chose, for better or worse.

I know fore damn sure he’s better than the Communist we have now and better than the rest who ran.

While Paul has great ideas on the Fed and cutting the size of government, his foreign policy would get Americans killed. Lets not even bring up his open boarders ideas. The fact is we have enemies through our past actions or just for the sake of knocking off the biggest guy on the block.

No one is stopping the serfs from bettering themselves except themselves.

the sky is not falling? if not, only because the underlying foundation of this nation is still resistant to the changes this administration seeks… republic government virtually guarantees the most appropriate and best suited individual for the job will not be elected, while trying to protect against the worst candidate being elected. Of course, that demands the press do their job. So i will agree the sky has not fallen, but any suggestion that we are ‘recovering’ is ignoring the facts…. any belief the changes coming thanks to the government takeover of health care will not hurt all involved has not listened to what economists and health care professionals have warned… do you really want the TSA, or the USPS, or the local DMV to be the model by which you get your health care? Congratulations. Jobs are not back, or are minimum wage part time work. The country is not producing like it could or should… and the government lies through omission about where we are.

As to any outrage about adopting Knopfler’s intent comparing it to the present and potential future facing us all needs to be equally levied at columnists comparing Ryan to an SVU criminal, but that would be above the person who wants to paint all conservatives as listening to Charlie Daniels and idolizing Chuck Norris… both of whom i do like. Guess I don’t see more bias there than in the election specific IceT rap or Morgan Freeman’s blinders

Initially, almost single-handedly Glenn has helped like-minded Americans gather together so they could see their own numbers and rekindle hope for our future and our children’s future. His clarion call to become united is responsible for the coalition of the majority to rise up against the tyranny of the minority where fear of being outnumbered, overwhelmed and politically incorrect with its attendant social consequences had prevented citizens from speaking truth to power. The support we have given Glen’s leadership in this regard is not allegiance to him but to our ideals and the constituional rights we possess. Any enrichment he has received, he deserves. In 2009 if it had not been for his 9/11 and the Tea Party – and the knowledge that 75% of us are PATRIOTS but never knew the others comprising 75% were there, Obama would have us totally unable to protect our nation from his ONE-WORLD dream… draining the wealth out of the USA and giving it to his Muslim Brotherhood buddies around the world, AFRICA/M.E. and America would be no more.

I don’t believe that just because you make money, you are a bad person. GB could get out of it all right now and live out his life in comfort, but he uses his money, and his time, and his effort, and his love, and his courage, and his intelligence, and his humor, and his patriotism towards his passion to save the American dream. This country simply would not be the same without him. I don’t believe everything he says–no one does, but where is his heart? And where is Obama’s? Mbriz is right. Glenn was predicting the end of the world, Jesus as on his way, the final fight between “good” and “evil” was about to commence etc. He did this for about 3 years until he changed his tune when he got push back from conservatives and people who lampooned his fear mongering on youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8C_bu2ykjO4 and elsewhere. Then he changed his tune in 2012. But now he’s on this “divine intervention” kick, even this morning when he opened his radio show with the old time religious – get on your knees -s-servant-to-god-and-pray preaching. Basically, Beck has lost so much credibility that he now only appeals to a core group of delusional hard right religious extremists. If Glenn was born in Afghanistan, he’d be a Taliban fanatic. Religious extremists are not the answer to our problems.

Yes maybe there where better choices, but why do we keep bringing it up, it has taken 100 years to get to where we are today, yet I see post after post about how we have the wrong person as our guy, Jesus give it a rest, do you really think we could roll all of this back on 4-8 years? the answer is no, the regaining of our freedoms will have to be just as incremental, as there loss has been, and it will fall to the next generation to continue this fight, long after we are gone, for the evil we fight has a long head start on us all, so quit complaining, and help us to start chipping away, it’s the only way.

Glenn’s are the lofty and inspiring words of a theoretician. The practitioner of free thought faces a bigger challenge. IQ is inherited and is not equally distributed between human groups. It takes courage to openly state this, but we all know it. Nobody wants to be labeled a ‘bully’ or a ‘racist’.

Two of these human groups have IQ deficits ranging from 10-18 points below the American mean. The Obama-phone spokeswoman belongs to one of these groups. Not surprisingly, the societies from which they come are either completely dysfunctional or are totalitarian-communist.

In our most current form of government, these human groups are enfranchised politically. It is always fun to give strangers things and the Barney Franks / Chuck Schumers of the world think this is great. The presence of this population, however, also advances the Frank-Schumer totalitarian-communist ideology. And the numbers of the low-IQ population are growing.

    There are three choices for those who wish to see a free America for their children: (1) End immigration of humans with IQs below 100 and actively deport those already here to the full extent of the law; (2) Pay low-IQ humans of child-bearing age to voluntarily undergo sterilization. The incentive should be $1,000 for every IQ point below 100 that they score;

Or (3) allow these creatures to continue to consume our national resources until the currency collapses and then have a really ugly physical conflict for resources.

@ PEPPER_76 HOLY COW !!! What a MISERABLE dolt you are!! GOD created all people for a reason, his purpose, and only monsters like you and Hilter think YOU have any say so over mankind. Not all of us can have IQ’s of 142 + or be in the top 1% – some people’s role is not your IQ but your heart capacity – what your existence can teach others/inspire others to do. You are either 20 years old and scared to death because you don’t know GOD or your 60 something, still scared and still don’t know God. Whatever you are i feel sympathy for you – for having been invited to the party but
have missed it all. EVERY LIFE has worth; a purpose; meaning; design. It’s people who think like you do that need to be rounded up and restricted so that your poison can’t effect anyone else. GOD, the CREATOR and amazing designer gave us the Orchid, Roses and Daiseys !!!

Our political system is so corrupt and our government so fat… I don’t hold much hope in electing a republican either. I’m not a Paul supporter, but it is hard to argue with his point that we are a single party nation. It is sad to say, but neither party is for a small enough government in my opinion. And Unions for Government employees – don’t get me started.

I agree – refer to Blaze post below about Ron Paul. It is scary to think people will vote for a 3rd party which is the same as not voting at all. It’s a vote for Obama. And there could not be two men more fundamentally different than obama and Mitt Romney. The real Obama will be on full display if he wins in November. What this man will do to America if he is no longer forced to “color within the lines” worrying about trying to get re-elected is just mind-blowing. It concerns me the numbers of empty chairs I am seeing in these event pics.

SNORKEL . . .Interesting. That is a rip off of Mark Knopfler’s song. Of course, the derivative conservative “artists” didn’t give him fair attribution. Moreover, Knopfler’s song is about the plight of poor black people and the terrible injustices they faced, leaving them with only their faith in Jesus to see them through.

You conservatives just can’t get anything right . . .or righteous. Stick with Charlie Daniels and Chuck Norris.

Beck is right, it’s time to make a choice some choices are better than others. We can vote for Romney (and he will win) . Then we will have riots from “Holders People” (his words) they will probably last a month and then the people will get sick of their work (riots) and all the big screen TV’s will be gone and their neighborhoods will be burned down. We can start our way back to getting our own energy and start putting people to work. It will not be easy while the rest of the worlds economy goes bust. We will have to scrimp and save and demand our people representing us do the same. It will not be easy but with GODS help we can do it, we are American and we love our country.
Or we can vote for Obama before the years end we will still have the riots as “Holders People” will not have as many handouts and higher unemployment. we will have high inflation and the possible dollar collapse. We will want to leave the republic and go it alone. this has happened in our history. we could perhaps be thrown into a civil war father against son, brother against brother.. It is our choice we will and can make the right choice because we are Americans and we believe in GOD. GOD BLESS THIS REPUBLIC.

A Mormon city, In a Mormon county in Arizona was an extremely bad place to be. We were staying in a city or county run campground. (We never found out who it belonged to, nothing but great lies from moral Mormon cops and sherriffs and city and county officials. My service dog was attacked by a pitbull that did not even have a collar on, let alone a leash.. Called 911 to one hour and 32 minutes for sherrifs officer to arrive. We were one and one half miles from town. I bet it would have been a couple of Minutes had I not told 911 that it was a service dog who had been attacked. It quickly became a nightmare not for the criminals, but for us. It was like get out of our town we don’t need that kind of publicity. Also funny how all of the witnesses suddenly changed their version to it looked like the PIT was only being playfull.

ModerationIsBest: First off, you said you would like to argue two points then went ahead and forgot to put the arguments in. I was alittle dissapointed, I wanted to see how you could hold anyone up as good when judged against a pure and eternal, good standard.
The second argument you didn’t make seemed to be about Jesus. I’ll just assume it was, He wasn’t a human sacrifice, He was a Divine sacrifice, which is the only kind of sacrifice that could expung the record of sin that we all collect by our very nature, a nature that was changed to sinful by Adam’s sin. Jesus also volunteered, not like with taxes.
Since you are so concerned with good morals, could you tell me how a system of government that always used the excuse “for the greater good” to murder 100 million citizens while searching for a utopia that it never came close to finding, can be considered good?

Huh? I never said “I want to argue two points”

My post was in response to someone who said,”Mormons are good people” and “Mormons have good morals”

I hear these arguments all of the time and they just show how evil you are.

It’s the “No, Jesus was God!, therefore it wasn’t a human sacrifice”

Listen people, you can’t claim that Jesus was both God and man(a notion in itself that is hilariously moronic) and then say it wasn’t a “human sacrifice.”

I always love the faux “humbleness” of religion. They always say how much they are “called” to love other people, when in reality they accept a sinister notion that everyone is born worthy of an eternal torture.

The next point is even worse.

It just shows how depraved you are that you would accept a human sacrifice on you behalf. Sorry, you can call your morals “good” all you want, but the ONLY moral response in my eyes to someone being sacrifice is “no, stop this evil. I don’t want this done on my behalf.”

Does the Christian do that? No, not at all. They welcome it, they worship it. They believe their deeds are now forgiven because of this gruesome act. It’s totally demented and I can’t help but think of all of the poor children out there who get brainwashed into the nonsense at ages like 2 and 3.

Once again, you’re illogically incoherent. That other soldier is also worthy of hell, and is therefore, an inadequate sacrifice for his fellow man. He cannot save someone (spiritual and eternally) if he himself is in the same boat. You continue to insist on debating that which you obviously don’t understand.

“Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross… In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God… And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth… No man hath seen God at any time, the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him. Jesus said… I proceeded forth and came from God… I and my Father are one.”

I love it when people try to explain scripture with their own deluded interpretation of events without actually correlating their nonsense with what the text has actually already stated..
