Axelrod: ‘There’s No Doubt’ Mitt Romney Is ‘Working Hard to Exploit’ Libya Attack
Senior Obama campaign adviser David Axelrod on Sunday said “there’s no doubt” that Mitt Romney is “working hard to exploit” the terrorist attack on the U.S. Consulate in Libya for political purposes.
Axelrod didn’t disavow Obama deputy campaign manager Stephanie Cutter’s comment last week that “the entire reason” Libya has become a political issue is “because of Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan,” saying that while it’s essential to get to the bottom of the attack, “there’s a separate issue of how Governor Romney has handled this.”
“[Romney] jumped in right away the day of these attacks with half information in a way that was denounced by both Republicans and Democrats and there’s no doubt that he’s working hard to exploit this issue,” Axelrod said on “Fox News Sunday.”
Axelrod pointed to a Bloomberg News interview with the father of slain U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens in which 77-year-old Jan Stevens said, “It would really be abhorrent to make this into a campaign issue.”
“I think we ought to follow the lead of the ambassador’s family and allow this investigation to run and get to the bottom of it and make the adjustments that are necessary,” Axelrod said.
“David wait a minute,” host Chris Wallace interjected. “This is the first U.S. ambassador that has been killed since 1979, [U.N. Ambassador] Susan Rice came on this show and five others and gave the American people a story that turned out not to be true, and you’re saying we shouldn’t discuss this? That we should wait for the investigation to be completed?”
“Chris calm down, that’s obviously not what I’m saying,” Axelrod said. “I’m happy to discuss it with you and I do think that it’s worthy of discussion. I think that’s different from the manner in which Governor Romney has conducted himself.”
Axelrod said that “from the beginning of this issue, before any facts were known, [Romney] was cravenly trying to exploit it.”
He said he understood that “in the last three weeks of the campaign…of course Governor Romney’s going to be able to be out there talking about this issue.”
“The president’s concern is to get to the bottom of it, to bring the terrorists to justice and to make whatever adjustments are necessary based on the invest to insure that in the future if there were lapses that those lapses are addressed,” Axelrod said.

Posted on October 14, 2012 at 1:16pmThis simpleton Axelrod doesn’t seem to realize that the public that cares to know, is fully aware Barack Obama is working infinitely harder to cover up what he really knew and when, and the lies he’s told about it since day one. This is an attempt to get Romney to not bring this up during the debates, lest Romney appears to the public to be doing what Axelrod accuses him of. Will Romney make reference to it as frequently as appropriate, and let Obama lie more about it to the public as Biden did? Now that will be interesting, reminds me of the old saying, ‘give em enough rope to hang themselves.’

He must have meant something like President Obama did when he hurried to the United Nations and blamed this on a YouTube video. Yea “exploit” fits the bill pretty well Mr. Axelrod. The administration is getting very good at pointing the finger at someone else while hoping nobody is actually looking at you sir.
“But we should learn something else, that when you stand for the truth, when you don’t let anger force you into stupidity, eventually the ship will right itself. You just have to remain standing. The people attacking you with lies will be buried under their own weight. I believe in this. It has been true for all of eternity in the past and all eternity in the future.†– Glenn Beck

Nothing Romney/Ryan is saying is inhibiting or prohibiting any investigations, any conversations. This is all Obama campaign bluster because this is a horrible, horrible October surprise for Team Obama and as always they revert to their two old friends BLAME & DISTRACT and the lucky recipient of this strategy is Romney/Ryan. Fortunately for the American people, given the significance of this story much of the main stream media is deviating from their protective stance of Obama and actually reporting on this Watergate type scandal. Or the shambles our relations are with allies, or the utter lack of progress our bowing and scraping to radicals and hob nobbing with totalitarians has garnered.
in point of fact, the presidency is the branch of the government that is responsiblve for dealing with the other nations while balancing the congress… for two years this president and his cronies Reid and Pelosi ran roughshod over the constitution, the will of the people, and completely ignored the economy in order to ram their great ‘solution’ to a problem that would have fixed itself or that did not exist down the nation’s throat. He was not a counter balance at all, totally ignoring the right (in contradiction to his promises of hope and change).
while the decisions of democrat controlled congresses from the time of Bill Clinton contributed to the housing fiasco and banking outrages that fueled the recession (oops, didn’t want to remember that, lefties?), Obama made no effort at real jobs creation, happily taking money from the STILL democrat controlled congress to fritter away by the hundreds of millions on companies that (surprise) then closed to avoid the tax hits he was proposing.

There is no doubt this is the biggest presidential blunder and failure of the Obama regime since Fast and Furious’ deaths of federal agents and mexican nationals, a high crime and/or misdemeanor if ever there was one. Congress should be all over this and the mainstream media too. The attack on Benghazi was a coordinated military-style assault by terrorist forces THIS president funded and armed while he was running an illegal bombing campaign (undeclared war) on Libya. The minister of propaganda Axelrod should be hauled off with a string of piano wire around his neck.

Posted on October 14, 2012 at 11:23amNot only has this President and his henchmen propagated atrocious acts against everyone around them, but then they laugh their ass off when questioned about it on national TV, talk about arrogance in government, what’s next, public stoning of anyone that disagrees with them. It’s time the people put a stop to this crap. November, OUT.

‘I just haven’t explained it enough’=you won’t believe my lies.
Racist= anyone disagreeing with BHO policies or using words like angry or apartment.
and Exploit = showing the nation how BHO is Failing once again (or blatant criminal behavior).
I forget the other progressive ‘catch phrases’ at the moment.
