President Obama: Debate Prep Is ‘Going Great’

There’s nothing like a solid defeat in the ring to make someone suddenly warm to training for the next fight, as President Obama seems to have found out in the wake of his humiliating defeat by GOP nominee Mitt Romney at the first Presidential debate in Denver, Colorado. Unlike in the run-up to that debate, when Obama made jokes about being made to do his homework, now the president is openly celebrated the process when asked by a reporter how it was going at a Williamsburg campaign office.

“It’s going great,” Obama replied, according to Politico.

Obama campaign spokeswoman Jen Psaki fleshed out the president’s clipped response, making it clear that the president had no intention of turning in a performance with similarities to the one he was so widely panned for two weeks ago.

β€œThe president is his own harshest critic and he knows Mitt Romney had a better night at the first debate,” Psaki said. β€œThe American people should expect to see a much more energized President Obama making a passionate case for why he is a better choice for the middle class.”

This view – of Obama as “his own harshest critic” – contradicts some of the initial reporting after the disastrous debate, which suggested that Obama had originally believed himself to have bested Romney. In all likelihood, that impression has been dismissed by his aides, and now the president is in full training mode against Massachusetts Senator John Kerry, who is playing Mitt Romney in the debate prep sessions.

Tuesday’s upcoming debate at Hofstra University on Long Island will offer many opportunities for missteps by both candidates. Unlike the first presidential debate – a relatively straightforward exchange of ideas between Obama and Romney with moderator Jim Lehrer mostly looking on – Tuesday’s debate will be hosted in a “town hall” format, with questions asked directly by undecided voters.

This setting may carry problematic implications for both candidates. On the one hand, town hall debates tend to reward shows of empathy, as Bill Clinton demonstrated with his well-known “I feel your pain” answer in the town hall debate against George H. W. Bush, which puts the relatively stiff Romney at a disadvantage. On the other hand, town hall debates tend to be a bad place to go negative, given that too much negativity can sometimes turn off the very undecided voters whose questions the candidates are supposed to be answering. This latter problem afflicts Obama especially hard, given that his campaign has increasingly been relying on attacking Romney.

    β€œIt’s going great,” Obama replied.

    “Our plan worked,” Obama said.
“I promise to close Gitmo in my first year,” said Obama.
“I will take public campaign funds,” said candidate Obama in 2008.
“I will cut the deficit in half, by the end of my first term,” said Obama.
“I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States,” stated President Obama.

Gosh. I wonder if Obama will come off as an “angry half/ black man” then. LOL.

The single most pampered and pandered to president in American history once again has to attempt to defend his dismal record and including the blood of 4 Americans working for him in Libya on his watch. This should be rich. I will be watching, as always. And praying for good (Romney) vs evil(that other guy)

      Remember – God’s Providence ….Blessings!

I think Obama is going to get trounced again in debate 2. Obama got slapped in debate 1 for his foolish rhetoric and then he was out on the campaign trail the next day repeating the same thing Romney just scolded him for the previous evening. It will be sad Tuesday for Obama:

Obama, a second rate intellect. Romney is going to take him down. I’m sending large contributions to Romney, Obama has already lost hundreds of millions of advertising dollars casting Romney as a bad guy cancelled during the first debate.

I think that he realises that, barring a miracle, he will lose the election and this knowledge has affected his performance.

I doubt that he will be much improved in the coming debate, and if he loses it he will probably just sleepwalk through the last one.

“Winning” a debate according to the left means acting forceful, aggressive and interrupting. If the conduct is childish an immature so much the better.

If Obama fails to offer anything of substance and distorts his record, but adheres to the foregoing, the left will declare him the greatest orator of all time.

It isn’t possible to impress children who live in a fantasy world, with sound logic and facts.

The latest videos reinforce prior data which reveals this man to be a race-baiting antagonist who is easily the biggest liar and instigator ever to run for office and that’s saying an awful lot considering poolitics is rife with them.

Everything he does is for the benefit of blacks and if anyone else is included it is an unintended consequence.

He’s the US’s first black, racist president.

The word is he wants to come out and hammer on Bain Capitol. From where I sit that would be the mistake of the century, that has nothing to do with running the USA and he knows it. I don’t care about a private company, he’s there to run a public company, the USA. So he had better be bringing public business to the table and what he’s going to change to fix his mess. People are not as dumb as he thinks.

All Obama’s promises were just that – kinda like Nancy Polisie’s “Drain The Swamp.” First there was Charlie Rangel oweing almost $800,000 and then there was Obamas 7 Szars having to decline because of Tax problems. All dropped out except Timmy, the only person that could save the country and he just lied and blamed it on Turbo Tax. I wonder what Obama promised them to not sue. Bottom Line is that Nancy couldn’t get that plug back in fast enough to stop the Draining of The Swamp!

2.) Unemployment rate is up by 3.4% since President Obama took office
3.) Long term unemployment is up by 87% since Obama took office
4.) Middle class income is down by $3,960.00
    5.) Gas prices up 107%
6.) Home values down by 11% since Obama took office
7.) Worker health insurance costs up 23% since Obama took office
8.) Sending your kids to college since Obama was inaugurated….up 25%
9.) Americans living in poverty increased by 6.4 million since Obama took office
10.) Food stamp recipients increased by 46% since President Obama took office
11.) Consumer price index (inflation) is up 9.1% since Obama took office
12.) Federal debt is up 51% since Obama took office
13.) The United States ranked #1 in Global Competitiveness the day Obama walked into office. Since his inauguration….we have declined to #7

Here’s another inconvenient truth for the President. When people wake up and start asking….why are my electricity bills so high? The President doesn’t want to talk about the fact that 50% of our electricity comes from coal fired electricity generating units. We have approximately 500 of these units nationwide. President Obama is using the EPA to shut down coal. There are 111 expected and known closures from 2009-2012. That is 1/5th of the Nations nearly 500 coal plants.

Question of the day for supporters of Obama……..If you take away 1/5th of the Nations coal plants, what do you think will happen to your electricity rates in the coming months?

Not to mention within the next 3-5 years more than 200 coal-fired electricity generating units are to be shut down across 25 states due to President Obama and his EPA loving regulations. (This is speaking to electricity rates only…..NOT JOB LOSSES)

Your figures are low, probably an old web posting. The price of gas when Gaybama was elected was approx. $1.87

Middle class income is down by approx $5000

Unemployment was approx 5% when he was elected. Real figures are well over 8%, so unemployment since he took office is up approx 60%.

Those are just a few off the top of my head, but any way you slice it, we’re much better off WITHOUT Gaybama.
