Have You Seen the New Video of Hollywood Starlets Slamming the Republican ‘Stance’ on Women?

Hollywood favorites Scarlett Johansson, Eva Longoria, and Kerry Washington are starring in a new political ad lambasting Republicans on women’s issues, while urging viewers to vote for Barack Obama.

Created by MoveOn.org, a progressive advocacy group that received $1.46 million from billionaire activist George Soros in 2004, it’s no surprise that the video comes out swinging against the Republican nominee.

The clip begins with the three actresses appearing on the screen one after another, each saying they want to talk to “you” about women and Mitt Romney.

‘Desperate Housewives’ star Longoria remarks, “Mitt Romney is for ending funding to Planned Parenthood,” and Scarlett Johansson adds, “including cancer screenings.”

Kerry Washington continues with gravity: “He said he’d overturn Roe v. Wade.”

However, from there the three begin to draw false parallels between the statements and stances of various Republicans, and Mitt Romney. Specifically, they imply that Todd Akin’s widely denounced “legitimate rape” remarks are part of the Republican platform.

“We have Republicans trying to re-define rape, trying to force women to undergo invasive ultra-sounds,” Johansson and Longoria warn viewers.

“If you think that this election won’t affect you and your life, think again,” Johansson adds.

The clip concludes with Washington and Longoria each saying “vote,” before Johansson points and says, “vote for Barack Obama.”

But while Hollywood would like many to believe Tinseltown is solely liberal, two actresses have recently come out in support of Mitt Romney: Stacey Dash and Lindsay Lohan.

1. Mitt is going to stop GOVERNMENT funding. In other words, funding that we all pay for regardless of how we feel about abortions.
2. What the heck is Planned Parenthood doing cancer screenings?!
3. No president, regardless of their feelings on Roe v Wade can simply “overturn” the court decision. It would have to be brought back up against a panel of judges or made into an amendment of the Constitution. So quit touting that as your big talking point.

4. Scarlett. You’re hot. I love you. But darling just look pretty and keep being good in your movies. PLEASE stop trying to be some political activist…the other two I could care less about…

  Planned Parenthood is doing cancer screenings because contrary to what your right-wing sources tell you, only about 3% of PP’s services are for abortions. Mitt will end government funding for PP which they rely on so they’ll have to of course cut needed services. Also, Mitt will likely appoint 1-2 Supreme Court justices, and he’ll of course appoint a pro-life judge.

  Easily fooled by a chart from Planned Parenthood themselves…the 3% abortions is a crock. From a Washington Post article about the chart:
  
  “Note that Planned Parenthood served about three million women last year, and of that number, 329,000 received abortions.”
  
  10% of women they served received abortions. That contradicts the chart by itself. And it doesn’t take into account the women they “served” by referring them to another agency/doctor for breast cancer screening and other health services.

  Planned Parenthood provides free/discounted GYN services to woman who otherwise might not be able to afford it. In college when my wife (girlfriend at the time) realized she was pregnant we went to PP. They never even once mentioned abortion to us but instead recommended we talk with our respective religious leaders. We now have a wonderful son.

  The 3% statistics is in reference to the services they provide, just because 10% of the women had abortions, that doesn’t change that only 3% of their services are abortions. In other words, of those 10% of women that had abortions they also had other services provided. Yes many PP sites don’t have the equipment (MRI, X-ray’s etc) to provide the actual study, however, women go there and get medical advice to get the preventative diagnostics and a referral. When you go to your primary care physican does he say you need a MRI for your brain and then take you to his personal MRI machine? No, he gives you a referal to a radiology site. But he does advise you to get the preventative study – this is what PP does, they advise women that come to see them about what preventative care is recommended based on risk factors, age etc. Somebody asked why the government should pay for that: This is a very fundamental libertarian/republican/conservative logical fallacy with regards to healthcare – why should the tax payers pay for this – and the answer is because detecting something like cancer early is essential to the outcome and prognosis, not to mention treating cancer in late stages is extremely expensive. It’s in our best interest economically as a nation to detect and treat cancer early so it doesn’t cost us money and lives in the long run.   1. I just called Planned Parenthood. They can only do level 1 cancer exams. That is exterior touching. All other exams are referred to a clinic.
  2. These ladies have not watch Glenn Beck to see what a nice guy George Sorros is.

They will likely change their mind if they get pregnant, feel a baby move and grow inside their womb, and attach to and LOVE their baby after he/she is born. She has no idea how right she is on this point. Another Obama term will likely result in catastrophic failure of the dollar. We cannot continue borrowing 40 cents of every dollar we spend and at the same time printing trillions to buy our own debt. This strategy has only ended in currency collapse every time its been tried. A currency collapse causes skyrocketing prices on everything – meaning that the poor and middle class will literally starve and be without heat or transportation, but of course these ‘ladies’ are very wealthy and won’t go without anything.. And how many mammograms will be done when women can’t get to the doctor, or when there are blackouts and brownouts?

  I don’t see these actresses standing up for the women being brutalized by Obama’s pals in the Taliban, in repressive Islamist regimes, or in the Islamic sex slavery trade. Nor do I hear these actresses stand up for women who want to be mommies. Nor do I hear these actresses acknowledge Romney’s legendary respect for women, nor his incredibly good treatment of, and loyalty to, his beloved wife.

Dont title the headline of a story as a question. Statements come across as more serious.
Titles as questions read like neighbors gossiping about something. Simple statement titles
read as straight news items.

Reads better as:

Too bad Move On can’t find pretty women with brains, or maybe a brain between them. It’s interesting to see how many people who are competent at memorizing or reading lines have so little to offer once the camera is shut off.

These women are all claiming to be champions of women’s rights, yet they prostitute themselves, by spinning the truth or uttering outright lies, in order to get a terribly incompentent Barack Obama re-elected to The Presidency. Doesn’t say much for their character, does it?

We have gone through a lot these last four years and if those women are so out of touch that they are ready to throw the good United States of America away then of course they are the type to throw a baby away like unwanted trash. I believe that any baby that has been started should have a right to life and that nobody should be forced to do what is again their religion. God loves all the children and he will have the last word when we all are confronted on Judgement Day.

You know them movie stars they know their stuff. Actually really it’s an image, just a bling that attracts people like the glitter of gold makes people peck like crows. Then people move west, and it opens a void in-between to make money from the distance, some people call it an economy. Yeah I remember “Go west young man”, and that came after them 49er’s went out there digging for gold. Now my daddy said it’s just planet-poopy people dig for like dogs because they like the way it shines, but it’s really just corn in a turd. Then people moved west, and some guy started a railroad, and stage coach company to make money off the relocation of people. Then they started wiping out the Indians out of a need to protect. But I’m not sure if that’s the way it went or not, because when I start thinking about the 49er’s I start thinking about football, hot-dogs, and beer.
