Ann Coulter Blasts ‘Air-Headed’ Actresses in New Pro-Obama Ad That Warns Women About a Romney Presidency

A new pro-Obama campaign ad warning women about the alleged dangers that a Mitt Romney presidency would bring has caught the ire of none other than conservative commentator Ann Coulter. The MoveOn.org spot, which features female celebrities, claims that a Romney victory would render abortion illegal, cause rape to be redefined and end cancer screenings aimed at helping women. Naturally, Coulter lambasted the “air-headed actresses” in the ad, dismissing their scare tactics and subsequently bashing the Democratic Party.

“Just the idea of actresses putting together a political ad like this, it’s like listening to trust fund babies,” Coulter said on Fox News’ “Hannity” on Monday. “The reason you have the ability to put this ad together is because of nothing you have done yourself. Completely unearned, God gave you the gift of genetic beauty and nothing between your ears.”

Coulter wasn’t done there. She went on to say that the arguments espoused by Scarlett Johansson, Eva Longoria and Kerry Washington are weak, especially considering some prominent Democrats’ pasts. As a result of these indiscretions, she said that the Hollywood entertainers don’t have a decent argument that would sway independent voters.

“The general idea of air-headed actresses trying to persuade independent voters that Republicans are the ones who are going to be soft on rape,” Coulter said, continuing, “The party that defends John Edwards, Bill Clinton, Dominic Strauss-Kahn and meanwhile, you have these honorable and decent men in the case of Paul Ryan and Mitt Romney.”

As TheBlaze previously reported, Johansson, Longoria and Washington make it clear that a Romney presidency, in their view, would be damaging to women. From de-funding of Planned Parenthood to the claim that Romney will overturn Roe versus Wade, the Supreme Court decision that legalized abortion, the actresses attempted to scare voters about the prospects of a Republican White House.

“We have Republicans trying to redefine rape,” Johansson warned, telling voters that this election is paramount. “If you think this election won’t effect you and your life, think again.”

  Bill Clinton tried to redefine “is” so he could get away with lying about his abuse of power with an intern in the oval office. I don’t always like how Ann Coulter puts things, but she is spot on with this one.
  And, by the way, overturning Roe v. Wade does not make abortion illegal. It leaves it up to the states, and the voters, to decide.

  Well to be blunt, I have had one or two of those “invasive ultrasounds”, and a gentleman’s business end is more invasive. Seems to me you wouldn’t have the former unless you first had the latter. They don’t seem to know or care that the abortion procedure is invasive on its own. Not to mention, painful (which the trans-v ultrasound is not), although I can only speak from secondhand knowledge there, not having had one of those (abortions).

  I agree Jenny, anyone who thinks that Romney/Ryan will stop cancer screenings and such are really stupid, I’m sorry that’s the only word I can use for these people now. Cancer is a disease that is rampant thru out our country, and the screening for it so that it can be caught earlier won’t stop. As for the stand on abortions I agree with them, I don’t see how any woman in the US could get pregnant if she didn’t want to, other than rape, incest…and have it aborted for other than those reasons along with the mother’s health. You have health departments that give birth control/condoms to people who can’t afford it. So if you take it upon yourself to have sex without protection and get pregnant then too bad…think beforehand.

  @VerseofReason…Planned Parenthood does not provide cancer screenings…..all of that activity takes place in “Affiliate” clinics or doctor offices. So you are incorrect once again…..the same “affiliates” who perform those cancer screenings will still be around after Planned Parenthood is de-funded. Attached is link directly from Planned Parenthood that breaks down the Planned Parenthood “affiliate” provided services for the year 2010. A mere 841 women were referred to adoption services but over 329 thousand abortions were performed. No matter how Planned Parenthood tries to mask it’s main purpose by counting each condom or birth control pill kit as a “service”……the attached link is still ugly and stinking. Very little of what Planned Parenthood does involves “Parenting” of any kind much less any real planning. Planned Parenthood is an abortion clearing house and a STD and AIDS testing referral facility. Nothing they do requires public taxpayer funds as all of those “affiliate” service providers will still exist. Reading this deliberately juggled break down is sickening…..

  Living in the city that’s the home of the Pink Ribbon, I know this attack’s backwards. It was this current admin that had experts claim screening was not needed until age 50. A short time later we lost the young lady that was the head of this much-needed drive and she was well under the age of 50! As was my sister, a survivor and now there’s a worker at a local Tim Horton’s named Tina who’s going under the knife this week fighting for her life over this. Wait until ObamaKare kicks in full, screenings will be dropped as too expensive or only a few places will offer them, like in Canada.

  Jenny– My cousin was beat up and brutally raped last year in Milwaukee. She’s a student at Marquette and was walking home after a night class. She’s is a wonderful person and a strict Catholic. She had intense counseling with the priests and after deep soul searching decided to end the pregnancy. If you had your way and abortion becomes illegal what would her punishment be under the law?   STA: The real term is transvaginal ultrasound. It is done in early pregnancy. I believe they are referring to one of the states that is trying to pass a law or has passed a law that states that the woman seeking an abortion must be given factual information regarding the development of the fetus.   Yes, the ultrasound device is like a wand. I don’t quite remember the width, but I’m thinking between 3/4 inch or an inch, certainly much smaller in width than most male organs or an articfical device (aka. *****) Inserted vaginally, just like the male organ. Oooh the tragedy! For pete’s sake, I had this done when I was having a miscarriage.

  I had the transvaginal ultrasound during my first trimester to locate the baby and also to see if there was more than one in there since I already have twins. I would rather have that than a pap smear, that’s for sure. And HappyBloodHound is right: they don’t want to be confronted with that fact that a fetus is indeed a living tiny human being. It’s easier to murder that baby if you don’t have to see the reality of it.

  There are ultrasounds in which the “camera” is inserted into the ****** so they can look more closely at the uterus. I had this done to check for tumors. Although “invasive” – this ultrasound wasn’t painful or degrading. It was very informative. They also make you drink a lot of water so they can look at the bladder while they’re in there. Good times.   First, pretending you are someone else for a living, I think we all did that before we were ten but we didn’t get paid for it and MOST of us grew out of it by junior high school.
  Second, most of these Hollywood jelly skulls majored in some liberal arts course that instructs you on how to water a cactus. Which unless you have the plant inside doesn’t require watering!
  Third, Liberals suffer from two things that has plagued them since the beginning of time. They are the dumbest species that walk upright and wouldn’t serve their country if someone held a loaded gun to their heads and threatened to pull the trigger if they didn’t enlist.

They look no further then the headlines and sound bits!I can not believe the number of women who vote for Obama because he dresses nice and looks great. It is kind of the Cosmo/GQ voting block.
