Charles Krauthammer on Tonight’s Debate: ‘In One Corner a Robot, in the Other a Cold Fish’

Pulitzer Prize-winning columnist Charles Krauthammer has a way with words. And his way is to is say exactly what he thinks, without hesitation.

Appearing on Fox News’ debate preview, Krauthammer offered up a concise and blunt summary of what President Barack Obama has to do in order to win Tuesday night’s debate.

“What a debate. In one corner a robot, in the other a cold fish,” Krauthammer said, never clarifying which candidate was which.

“For Obama the bar is rather low compared to the first debate — all he has to do is string a few sentences together coherently. To make eye contact with a single sentient human, and show the slightest animation in his face. I think he can do that,” he added.

Krauthammer said Obama could “win on that basis alone.”

I’ve suspected for some time that the Pulitzer Prize folks who picked Dorkheimer were the same people who moved on to choose Obama for the Nobel Peace Prize.

Krauthammer just described the moderator (autobot from the automat) and the president ( week-old dead carp) very well. Now, who wants to venture a suggestion as to Romney.
Please forgive me for not writing out BHO’s name. At this point I am disgusted at the sound and sight of his name because of all the lies, deceit, and miserable policies he has come up with since January 2009. BHO has caused great misery and suffering to millions of good Americans.

I’ve never really valued Mr. Krauthammer ‘s opinion on just about everything. My view of him was doubly reinforced with his remarks on the debate.

Charles K also had disparaging words for anyone who does not believe we all evolved from monkeys. But for someone inside the beltway, he is a “real” conservative.

Herr Krauthammer is a cross between those two adjectives himself. He is usually more on the conservative side but he apparently felt the need to make fun of both of the debators. Must be mad about something.

I think Romney was too soft on the Libya debacle- his kindness was showing through, when he did begin to put pressure on Obama, the moderator cut him off – shame on her!!!! She overstepped her job…. Romney still won the debate, of course !! He had more fact and figures and professional stature. I can’t even stand to listen or watch Obama – he is a phony and a professional liar…..

I say what I think too, however, I don’t have a national audiance. I totally disagree with him. I believe one of them is a good man in a nasty envirement, and the other is an angry marxist. One loves this country, one doesn’t. One can’t say a word that won’t be dissected ad nauseum, and one who’s every word is treated as if Moses brought it from the mountain. One who is a decent human being and one who sat in Reverend Wright’s church and agreed with him.

Obummer already won the debate. All he had to do is show up and say aaaaah and oooooh and smile like Biden. Poor Mitt will be booed and Obummer will be cheered by this non partisan not decided bunch of liberal dicks from the second worst state New York. Just watch.

For some reason this description of the two men cracked me up, especially the part about Obama having to string a few sentences together coherently and making eye contact with a sentient human being.

Hubristic individuals tend to be oblivious to even acknowledge another of the same species, let alone an adversary — Mitt has him figgered out. I believe the vast majority of folks that bought that ‘hopey-changey’ thing on the heals of 9/11 thru the 2008 election cycle are on board ‘against’ as well — IF he manages 20% of the popular vote — we should all check into a ‘hotel california…’ — unreal…….

I’m inclined to believe the same thing — Mitt ‘should’ be able to knock this out of the park, but I believe Game 2 is going to the Home team this go-round — has to to ‘keep the stupids’ engaged and the $ flowing… ;-) — Open mic checks reveal ‘the game…’ we’ll see how it plays out Nov 7th (day after da ‘lection — maybe his 9 buddies at SCOTUS will play a role again…)
