Glenn Beck: ‘Mounting Evidence’ Suggests Obama Admin May Close Gitmo, Bring Detainees to U.S. Facility After Election
During his show on TheBlazeTV Monday evening, Glenn Beck discussed the Obama administration’s continued push to close Guantanamo Bay detention center and allow terrorists — enemy combatants — onto U.S. soil. The move, however, would conveniently only come after his potential re-election. Beck noted that even though this story is nowhere to be found in mainstream media, the Justice department recently purchased a maximum-security prison in Illinois, a potential site for the “new” Gitmo. Currently, the Senate is working on a report about the challenges, pros and cons of moving Gitmo detainees to this new facility.
Beck also said Obama would release the mastermind of the 1993 World Trade Center bombings Omar Abdel-Rahman, also known as the “Blind Sheikh,” if he is re-elected — when he will have more “flexibility.”
“Mark my words, he’ll do it after the election,” Beck said

Posted on October 16, 2012 at 10:46amObama is anti-American, anti-semetic and anti-Christian/Jews. He was born and raised as a Muslim.
This is who he is. He has done, and will continue to do what will further the cause of Islam.
Here is Winston Churchillβs speech on Islam β [1899]
“How dreadful are the curses which Mohammedanism lays on its votaries! Besides the fanatical frenzy, which is as dangerous in a man as hydrophobia in a dog, there is this fearful fatalistic apathy. The effects are apparent in many countries, improvident habits, slovenly systems of agriculture, sluggish methods of commerce, and insecurity of property exist wherever the followers of the Prophet rule or live.
A degraded sensualism deprives this life of its grace and refinement, the next of its dignity and sanctity. The fact that in Mohammedan law every woman must belong to some man as his absolute property, either as a child, a wife, or a concubine, must delay the final extinction of slavery until the faith of Islam has ceased to be a great power among men.
Individual Muslims may show splendid qualities, but the influence of the religion paralyses the social development of those who follow it.No stronger retrograde force exists in the world. Far from being moribund, Mohammedanism is a militant and proselytizing faith. It has already spread throughout Central Africa, raising fearless warriors at every step, and spreading throughout the world.

For example: Gitmo prisoners are far better treated (religious accomodation, good meals) than prisoners interred in other countries are. Only 3 have been put under enhanced interrogation, and all three of those were well known terrorists.

Obama is not getting re-elected (legitimately that is).
All of the liberal left items that have been implemented will not be revoked…get a clue….once a law or part of a law is funded, people hired, regulations issued, forms established to mirror the law, you have more than a difficult time to get rid of it. So those parts of ObamaCare implemented will prob stay in the Gov’t forevar!
Non-segregated facilities is still funded. Out dated laws that do not mirror current social, economical and environmental issues are still funded. Waste IMHO.
Inch by inch…our progressive republicans could have stopped it but caved…worried about re-election and look what happened to the clowns in 2010…bring on more conservative Republicans to right the good ship lollypop.

Posted on October 16, 2012 at 7:02amOk Obama, here is how I will agree to bring them to the US.
1) You build a facility made of only concrete and steel in Point Barrow, Alaska. You provide a concrete slab with a steel plate to be used as a mattress, a steel toilet with a steel toilet seat in each cell.
2) When transferred, detainees are allowed to bring nothing but their cotton prison issued uniform.
3) Inmates can only be transferred in January of any year.
4) the prison will not provide heaters, blankets, sheets or blankets….they will provide nothing but cold showers.
5) In the event that any of the inmates happen to die of natural causes while incarcerated, their bodies will be fed to the polar bears to save the tax-payers the expense of burials…
There is my deal, either take it or leave Gitmo open to house these cockroaches.

Posted on October 16, 2012 at 8:55ami think you are missing the issue of bringing them to the States
once they are here they would get a trial like your or I would should be ever be charged with anything, the problem with this is they were “arrested” by soliders in battle, do you think they were read their miranda rights etc?
No, they cases would most likely be heard by a liberal judge with a bias, and these people would all be released on technicalities
is that what you want?
Or would you like them held outside the US in a military compound with a military trial?

Posted on October 16, 2012 at 5:44amI like Beck but it annoys me to no end when he says things like “he’ll do it after the election,” the presupposition being he’ll get re-elected. No “that’s Obama’s plan IF he’s re-elected, so this is another reason we’re going to make sure he’s kicked out of office.” Instead, he often offers up statements that assume an Obama victory. Even though Beck says he thinks Romney will win the frequency with which he uses statements like the above suggests the opposite. Ever heard of the law of association Glenn?

Posted on October 16, 2012 at 9:45amObama does not cede power until January 20. If he loses in November, he still has plenty of time to push through a number of things, including closing Gitmo and releasing the blind sheik. That would explain why he is planning such moves now, rather than after the election. The real worry is what else he might be planning in the event of a loss. I will not relax until after the inauguration, since Obama will have no reason to push as hard as he can to accomplish whatever else it is he wants to do.

Posted on October 16, 2012 at 2:17amGood. Now maybe we can actually start charging these people with crimes and begin legally trying them under our system of laws. The unconstitutional nature of gitmo and holding suspects there without charge or due process is disgusting. It is the symbol of just what is wrong with our country out in the open for the whole world to see.
Hopefully Americans wake up and realize exactly what it means to hold people without charge indefinitely and the error of this action. When people on the right and left begin to speak out against unconstitutional practices, I will begin to have hope for our future.

This may sound odd to you, but before the war on terror, patriot act, and the AUMF, terrorists were charged as criminals in a court of law. The individuals who attacked us on 9/11 were not agents of some foreign government, so they are not spies and those involved should be tried by our criminal justice system, not fake military courts.

Posted on October 16, 2012 at 10:58pmJJ, we do not believe the rights we believe God gave to us as human beings are an exclusive right given to us because we were born in the US or are citizens of the us. The united states as a nation recognizes and respects our god given human rights. It should not give or take away rights as the situation benifits the institution of government.
The very nature of government that does not infringe upon our natural rights is that it will respect those rights for all men because those rights are not something created by that government but by a higher power.

Posted on October 17, 2012 at 6:14amClassic liberal? Maybe more like a modern liberal… At least on this point…
Actually if you go back to the Barbary Wars, which is the closest America had to a “war on terrorism” in the past. Jefferson’s forces didn’t even bother with trials. They killed the ‘pirates’ (terrorists), hung them, beheaded them, etc. They made a spectacle of them, to put fear in their hearts. This is actually reflected in Barbary War memorial which depicts a bunch of decapited heads all over the memorial. Certainly not PC by today’s standards… But Jefferson knew what it would take to win.

Posted on October 17, 2012 at 12:02pm@SH, there a couple of major problems with your interpretation of events during the Barbary wars.
First is the enemy of that war. The pasha of tripoli declared war on the united states (because of our refusal to pay protection money) which meant we were fighting a war against a specific nation. Congress may not have declared war against a nation, but it had been declared against us by a naval power. Having a specific enemy we can fight is very different from fighting a war against the act of terrorism and the ideology of radical Islam,, a battle which can never truly be won.
Second, the acts committed against the enemy were brutal and would not be tolerated against an enemy military, but the enemy these acts were committed against we’re privateers and laws concerning piracy are very different and very brutal. Zero tolerance.
The US fought that war in that way because of the navy’s role In the war and because the enemies reliance on privateers who were not dealt with the same way as normal combatants.
My point is debatable but that’s how I see it. I took a course on the Barbary wars at community college a few years back and that was the interpretation I walked away with. (The professor disagreed with me, but he was a bush supporter in 2004.
