Mixed Messages: Obama Camp Claims President ‘Takes Responsibility’ for Benghazi

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on Monday assumed “full responsibility” for the security lapses at the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, which was seen by many as an attempt to clear President Obama and his inner circle of any blame.

But now the Obama camp says the president, and not Secretary Clinton, “takes responsibility” for the attacks.

“President Obama takes responsibility for the safety and security of all diplomats serving overseas,” said Obama campaign spokeswoman Jen Psaki during a Fox News interview Tuesday. “Secretary Clinton of course has a great amount of responsibility as Secretary of State.”

Wait, if President Obama is responsible, then what was the point of Sec. Clinton’s Monday announcement?

Psaki went on to argue that Clinton’s remarks were not a “coordinated roll-out” to protect President Obama from criticism ahead of Tuesday’s presidential debate, as suggested by Fox’s Shepard Smith.

So, the incompetent fool who refused to increase security and even ordered withdrawal of usual Marines detachment was Barack Obama, after all? Not Hillary Clinton?

Can we fire Barack Obama then? Or better fire them both? Or better fire them both and prosecute for high treason?

      .
It’s easy to accept responsibility when there are no consequences.

I’d like to hear why the ambassador was driving to a known terrorist area,
without his security force, on 9/11, after he wrote that he feared for his life.
What was so important in Benghazi that Stevens risked his life to meet with
terrorists? (And took a couple of CIA operatives with him.)
Something smells, I think Obama wanted him to get the weapons back that we gave
the “rebels” who turned out to be al Qaeda.

It’s a take your pick moment, Hillary or Barry. Hillary took the initial heat off Barry, so now he can play man/boy and say it was his fault. They’ll be arguing over taking responsibility, in short order, to divert attention away from the actual cover up. A brilliant lib move. They’ve got the playbook down pat. What a magic act. When Barry losses, he and Hill should do a road show together playing in the restrooms of various Holliday Inns, it should be a real winner. Maybe they can make each other vanish.

I would like to slap that silly grin off of Jen’s face – 4 Americans were brutally killed by an Al-Kaida attack on US Soil in Egypt. She is smiling because they feel 100% confident that American’s will believe that Obama will take full credit for this foreign disaster and everything will be ok.

      These people are complete idiots.

–had days, weeks even, to make the decision for billary to take responsibility
–took them seeing the public’s reaction to figure out this diminishes Ocommie and was a bad idea

Regardless, Romeny really needs to point out that it doesn’t matter who claims to be responsible, neither (the whole administration for that matter) showed any responsibility or competence before, during or after the entire terrorist attack.

I don’t know which is worse:
That they tried to sweep this whole thing under the rug.
That they thought they could get away with sweeping it under the rug.
Or that they were stupid enough to think they could get away with sweeping it under the rug.

      They’re not just marxist-communists!!!!!!!!!
They’re freakin’ low-life, classes, selfish, wicked, fat-cat IDIOTS!!!!!!!!!!!

The repubes aren’t much better, but baby-steps in restoring this country are better than continuing toward destruction.

I believe things go deeper than just a cover up over negligent ambassador protection. It appears to me that the ambassador was set up, that he was supposed to be left standing helpless so that he would be killed, kind of like how king David left Uriah the hittite out to dry. It just seems too much like this was meant to be for some reason.

Can we get a president and full administration replacement with competent people that know how to lead instead of getting pep talks full of propo in some guy’s apartment? Or is that too much to ask nowadays? I am praying that Obama just owns up to the mistakes he’s made in thinking that he can lead a country with the people that are doing the work are just as incompetent as he is. He needs to wake up and realize that the people under him are not looking out for his best interests and they’re making him look like a fool. It helps if he wasn’t ignorant to begin with. He’s been spoonfed false arguments and he holds on to them like a broken record without his teleprompter in case he should let go and fall. It’s time to let go sir and let someone else take over.
