The Mainstream Media Is ‘Changing History’: Beck Blasts Handling of Debate Questions on Libya
In the wake of Tuesday evening’s presidential debate, Glenn Beck dedicated a portion of the evening to debunking President Obama’s answers on a myriad subjects including the attacks on the U.S. embassy in Benghazi, women’s rights per the Lilly Ledbetter bill, gas prices and green energy. Beck also gave the answers he feels Romney should have that night.
To illustrate some of Romney’s missed opportunities, Beck began by reviewing the questions asked by various undecided voters — from the question about energy secretary Steven Chu’s role in lowering gas prices to the actual pain being felt at the pump; from Romney’s 5-point economic plan to better wages for women. But the most impactful moment of the evening came when the president was questioned on the U.S. embassy attacks in Libya. Beck praised Romney for calling out Obama on not calling the Libya attack a terrorist act on September 12 and blasted Crowley for stepping in and saving the day for Obama by fact-checking Romney, an act he claims a moderator should never assume.
Crowley of course later clarified her position by saying that Romney was correct “in the main” and that the administration took roughly two weeks to actually identify the attacks on the U.S. embassy in Libya a coordinated terrorist attack.
It also bears mention that the White House’s first official statement on the attack also failed to mention the word “terror” and proceeded to blame the YouTube video until September 20, when White House Press Secretary Jay Carney said he believed it was “self-evident that what happened in Benghazi was a terrorist attack.”
For good measure, Beck then read aloud a CNN transcript from September 20 that read: “The White House, for the first time Thursday, declared the attack that killed Stevens and three other people a terrorist attack.”
In other words, the mainstream media was well aware that the Obama administration had not called the attack a terrorist act for nearly two weeks, and they know full well when the first instance in which it did, occurred. Of course, Beck noted that now the mainstream is “changing history” by praising Crowley’s “fact-check” and acting as though Obama had used the term “terror” all along.
After Tuesday’s debate. Crowley clarified:
Romney’s precise comment was false. Obama did describe the killings in Benghazi as an act of terror twice in the two days after the attack. In an interview two weeks after the incident, though, he appeared to reserve judgment, and some Obama administration officials, including Carney and Rice, suggested in the days after the attack that the United States had no indication that it was a planned assault.”
So, even thought Romney was in the right, the narrative is being spun that he was a fact-checked as a liar, noted Beck. Meanwhile, enemies like the Muslim Brotherhood may be hearing an underlying message loud and clear, Beck noted.
In CONTROL, Glenn Beck presents a passionate, fact-based case for guns that reveals why gun control isn’t really about controlling guns at all; it’s about controlling us. Posted on October 19, 2012 at 12:42pmThe evidence against Obama implying claiming he said the Benghazi event was a “terrorist act” only piles up further when a major news outlet refers to the President’s 9/12 remarks in its own analysis on the same day and attributes the attack to the anti-Muslim video:
“PBS NewsHour’s “Fact-Checking Debate Claims on Libya Attacks” skips their own 9/12 facts” http://www.redstate.com/russellc/2012/10/18/pbs-newshours-fact-checking-debate-claims-on-libya-attacks-skips-their-own-912-facts/

All very good observations and comments here.
But I keep asking – and I can’t sem to get a straight answer – even from The Blaze:
Who is saying what about the Electoral Votes??
All the issues, all the debate rhetoric, all the popularity polls do NOT make for an election outcome….
Never has.
Never will.
Oh, and I haven’t spoken of the Power Elite, the Brotherhood of Darkness, the Powers That Be in quite a while. It is easy to get lost in the miasma

Posted on October 18, 2012 at 2:03pmCrowley exemplifies the liberal penchant for changing history to fit their own agenda on a small scale. They are also trying to do it on larger scheme. They have made concentrated efforts to remove American history from some school schedules. They also have made their own history books and tried to get school districts to buy and use them if history stays on the schedules. These books, of course, would be very critical of America. They would not replace the whole history study in some places; they would teach it half-a-year or just highlights. After-all…history is just a ‘study of old dead white men’. The want to re-tell our history to fit the socialist view. They want to tell our children an exaggerated and false history so they can have an excuse to ‘change’ our nation like obama wants to do. If we don’t know our history then the lib/socialist can say anything about us and we may believe it. Check to see what your child is being taught in history class or even if they have such a class.

Posted on October 18, 2012 at 3:14pmDuring the second presidential debate, Kerry Ladka asked who it was that denied enhanced security in Benghazi, Libya, and why.
Obama didn’t answer the question. Instead, he waded deeper into a pool of lies and deception. Notice how he said, “as soon as we found out that the Benghazi consulate was being overrun [present tense], I was on the phone with my national security team and I gave them three instructions.
“Number one, beef up our security and procedures, not just in Libya, but at every embassy and consulate in the region.
“Number two, investigate exactly what happened, regardless of where the facts lead us, to make sure folks are held accountable and it doesn’t happen again.
“And number three, we are going to find out who did this and we’re going to hunt them down, because one of the things that I’ve said throughout my presidency is when folks mess with Americans, we go after them.”
His number one request simply doesn’t make sense. By his admission, he said that even as the consulate was being overrun, he was on the phone instructing his national security team to “beef up” security there. How? Who did he expect on the ground was even close by that they could “beef up” security? In the midst of grenades and gunfire, what national security people were even close enough to the consulate to assist? How long would it take for additional security to arrive? Furthermore, how long did it take for a national security team to get in place to p

Posted on October 18, 2012 at 11:22amNone of this will come as a surprise to those greybeards among us old enough and fortunate enough to have been educated before public schools became merely expensive and inefficient daycare stations. Just read (or re-read) some of the cautionary and visionary tales written fifty or sixty years ago, when the statist or collectivist regimes of all political persuasions were comparatively young. I commend “Animal Farm” as a shorter example, or “1984″ as a darker one, to your attention. From the former, it is sadly easy yet instructive to identify personalities and attitudes in the barnyard to those in the news. Napoleon? Certainly the current president. Snowball, upon on whom all problems are blamed, even long after exile? A former president, perhaps, or more broadly any idea outside the current orthodoxy. Squealer, of course, is the original propagandist who must spin lies into truths and then back, relying equally on his gift of misdirection and upon the intellectual density of those misdirected. Poor Squealer was relegated to climbing a ladder at night to edit and expand upon the seven core principles, painted on the barn wall and upon which the collective was formed, to accommodate Napoleon’s “evolving” preferences, although in modern times we have traded the ladder and paint for the omniscient media. Is not Ms. Crowley Squealer’s natural and voluntary heir and successor, in function if not in form? Alas. . . she may have proven herself “more equal than

Posted on October 18, 2012 at 10:12amA few observations:
-The Libyan fiasco, and the subsequent observations from Obama and the msm re. ‘guns,’ will be used as a springboard in the next debate about Americans and firearms. The emotional appeal will be heard from Obama’s lips to the itching ears of they who praise him.
He stated ‘I am aware of the second amendment; …hunting and sporting…’ This did not go unnoticed and will return somewhat radioactive. No Mr Obama, it is NOT about hunting- it is there to protect the populace from a smothering and tyrannical govt- it is there to protect ‘we the people’ from they who do not understand the uniqueness and freedom of Americans. You have it wrong sir. Before you command an assault on good people within the borders, you will remember that ‘we the people’ are armed. THIS is the reason you must act like a turtle before you command such a menacing order.
Your plans cannot proceed as long as the people are armed.
-there is a strong chance that Obama, after knowing his chances of reelection are slim, will TRY to suspend the election. He will use the Israeli/Iranian crisis as an example, and note the early vote there, but turn it around for a ‘crisis’ in the states.
-the television fiasco with Crowley (with Romney debating two opponents) was spun with Obama winning, but that was expected, trouble is; there is one more scheduled with probably a larger dose of ‘unfairness’ and heavy opposition.
You cannot discount anything this admin. will do to

Posted on October 18, 2012 at 10:12amThe media has successfully changed the debate with this subject to “what did he say and when did he say it” I really don’t care. The real story here is the assassination of four people in Libya. That was set up to well to be an accident, someone in power wanted someone there dead and set it up. Not even this administration is dumb enough to just routinely pull the security in a war zone. That was done on purpose and they got the job done, killed them all. Now just what was going on there that someone don’t want known?

Posted on October 18, 2012 at 8:49amI couldn’t agree more. The MSM has become a complete joke under this administration. Chris Matthews actually came out and said it “was his job” to make Obama successful. Even Joe “the conservative” Scarborough couldn’t believe he said it. Recently Michelle Obama told CNN that her husband has no ego?! Say what?!

Posted on October 18, 2012 at 6:48amThat’s the timeline, only I like to take it back farther which would include:
Obama’sNobel Peace Prize. His “reaching out to Muslims” speech in Egypt. The “Arab Spring” and praise for Obama, who then embraced the “elected” Muslim Brotherhood. Bin Laden assassination and more praise for Obama who said he “set Al-Qaeda back on its heels.” Behind the scenes in the Mideast, affection for the US is not MORE but in fact LESS than under Bush. Violence is steadily increasing (confirmed by CBS correspondent Lara ..) but this is not known to US public. Comes the Benghazi debacle and Obama MUST blame it on the video because if he doesn’t, it is obvious that not only is Benghazi a foreign affairs screw up involving a number of people in this administration — more importantly, this reveals that our President has a failed foreign polilcy and a failed world view. Benghazi has not yet been revealed as the catastrophe it truly is. And by the way, my heart aches for those killed in the attack. Prayers for them and their loved ones.

Questions pre-submitted, selected by an activist moderator, Team Obama clearly was informed well in advance of what was coming down the line. Thus they could ensure the proper ‘spin on the subject’ occured to be thrown back at Romney.
The fact is how fast Obama had to turn to Crowley so quickly on the matter – a bailout caught on live TV for all to see being called for and delivered.
I have to applaud Romney though for one key foresight on his strategy being laid for the third debate on foreign matters – Libya and Fast and Furious are sure to be mentioned by him; and Team Obama will probably do their best to avoid them coming up, along with matters of foreign oil and anything with the Arab Spring and Iran.
Obama is getting overwhelmed, and I see the signs of him approaching a rapid mental/emotiional meltdown.
