The Pro-Gun Campaign Ad You’ll Probably Like…By a Democrat

Democratic Congressman John Barrow is out to show it’s not just Republicans who can make inroads among gun supporters.

In a new 30-second campaign ad, the Georgia representative picks up a Smith & Wesson handgun his grandfather once used “to stop a lynching” and a rifle his father had “to keep us safe.”

“That’s why I support the Second Amendment and that’s why I’m proud to be endorsed by the NRA,” Barrow says. “These are my guns now, and ain’t nobody going to take them away.”

The four-term congressman is in a tough political fight thanks to a redistricting process that made his seat more Republican-friendly. His opponent, Georgia state representative Lee Anderson, is also touting his record on guns, writing on his website: “I have an A rating from the NRA in the Georgia House, and I will strongly defend our Second Amendment rights in Washington.”

In CONTROL, Glenn Beck presents a passionate, fact-based case for guns that reveals why gun control isn’t really about controlling guns at all; it’s about controlling us. Find out more HERE.

True. Remember, leftists believe in laws that restrict everyone . . . . except them. Look at how they exempted themselves from Obamacare.

Elitists will ban guns for everyone except the police, and military that they control and their private security details. You are a slave at that point.

I will say this, former Ohio Governor Ted Strickland (D) did more for gun rights in ohio than several decades of Republicans who preceded him. Thankfully the current Governor, John Kasich (R) has done well in expanding and improving the concealed carry law that Ted Strickland signed into law but it just goes to show that Republicans have not always had our 2nd Amendment rights at heart. Do not judge a book by it’s cover (or party affiliation).

The real problem with “moderate” “Pro gun” Democrats is that they’re not in control of their party. Therefore, you can’t truly vote for them. As “Moderate” or “Pro Gun” as they may be, a vote for them has the potential to put San Fran Nan Pelosi back in as Speaker of the House. That means that unless you support San Fran Nan’s wildly leftist agenda, you CAN’T VOTE FOR A DEMOCRAT no matter how moderate or pro gun that Democrat may be. A vote for ANY Democrat for the House is a vote for a return of San Fran Nan as Speaker. As Speaker, she can basically kick the Republicans out of all bill considerations and even stop them from offering any amendments to bills. That’s exactly what she did on Obamacare and a number of other leftist bills. She will refuse to bring up a budget for debate and consideration like she did the last three years of her tenure as Speaker before. The same goes for any Democrat running for the Senate. Unless you like the way that Dirty Harry Reid blocks any budget from even coming out of committee for debate, you simply can’t vote for a Democrat because ANY Democrat elected to the Senate will permit Reid to remain Senate majority leader and thereby control which laws make it to the Senate floor. Reid is why Obamao has no fear of impeachment. Reid would never allow the trial to occur, or any Democrat Senators to vote for conviction and everyone in DC knows it.

It doesn’t matter. After this election the progressives will flock to (infiltrate) the republican party more than ever. That is why it is more important than ever to stay awake and know who you are electing. Its time to stop reelecting people over and over. That is definitely a K-98k rifle. A German rifle used during WW2. I have several “vet bring backs” of this rifle and I know them VERY well. Kettererbg is 100% correct. The rifle had no ammunition, so the internal magazine’s floor plate had to be depressed. Then the trigger must be pulled while closing the bolt so that the firing pin’s spring is not compressed thus keeping the weapon “de-cocked” and safe for storage.

It’s the National Rifle Association. They look at gun rights and examine candidates records, and rate these politicians based ONLY on those records. They don’t get involved in other issues, because the NRA does represent a wide range of Americans. Some members are even socially liberal on quite a few things, so the NRA sticks to this SINGLE ISSUE.

Use their ratings as part of your comprehensive voting strategy, but don’t blame the NRA for supporting a solid RKBA candidate.

If anybody who is a gun owner wants to vote for Obama they should look at his anti gun record. Remember if Obama gets re-elected he will probably get to nominate 2, possibly 3 Supreme Court Justices
Obama supports ban on the manufacture, sale and possession of all handguns (1996)
Obama endorses ban on the sale or transfer of all semi-automatic firearms (1998)
Obama supports 500% increases in taxes on both guns and ammunition (1999)
Obama proposes banning gun stores within five miles of any school or park (1999)
Obama co-sponsors legislation limiting gun purchases to “one gun a month” (1999)
Obama serves on board of directors of the radically anti-gun Joyce Foundation (1994-2002)
Obama votes to ban hundreds of common, conventional rifles and shotguns (2003)
Obama votes to prosecute victims who use guns for self-defense in their homes (2004)
Obama backs federal law to abolish Right-to-Carry nationwide (2004)
Obama votes to ban common rifle ammunition (2005)
Obama votes to expose U.S. gun industry to potentially bankrupting lawsuits (2005)
Obama votes to reject pro-Second Amendment Supreme Court Justices John Roberts and Samuel Alito (2005 and 2006)
Obama supports Washington D.C. ban on guns in the home for self defense and refuses to sign “friend of the court” brief urging Supreme Court to overturn it (2008)
Obama votes to jeopardize federal criminal investigations by opening up sensitive BATFE gun-trace data for manipulation by anti-gun politicians (2008)

But morality is not spirituality, and we have the best discussions. His disagreeing with me does not make him evil, and myself superior.

The accuracy of these numbers, of course depends on your definition of welfare and which programs are included.

Hahaha, that’s a good one. Having paid attention to politics my whole life this is what we have come to. Total distrust of the “other” side. It’s a shame but I have to say I agree with you though I like the ad. I would hate to let my guard down right now, the left is as scarier now than it has ever been.

Yes that’s right I can speak B.S, and the anti movement will have a law whereby people can not sell family heirlooms, which will mean the government can’t confiscate them too, and so the elites will make it to be their firearms are heirlooms, except the rest of the population will lose theirs.

Of course there ain’t nobody who’ll take [his] guns away from him, because the elites will hang on to their own guns, but they’ll just take them away from the rest of the population. I can speak B.S.

It seems like Republicans can’t be trusted either, because at the end of the day their god is security, cash, and power. After-all, that is why they cross the aisle.

Of course the fact is that at the end of the day the god of most Americans is security, cash, and power. That’s why the government represents them so well.

@ILIKEPEOPLE….Of course at the end of the day, Obama is your God, and that tells us all we need to know about you…

      RightUnite,
That just isn’t true. However I think that you think Obama is my god, probably because another human is your god – probably yourself.

I’m not an elite, never voted straight ticket in my life, and PROUD to be an American. Not because we are so special but because we live in Greatest Country in the world. My God is the Almighty. The Father of Jesus Christ. I believe in the Constitution and I also believe ALL men and women by nature are sinful.

Now you know where I am coming from. It takes more than mere words to convince me of who you are. My daddy taught me many years ago, “you wanna know who someone is, check out their friends” and “actions speak louder than words” Now we can insult each other all day long and accomplish nothing. You wanna know the truth….work for it
