Feel Good: Recently Dumped Fatherless 22-Year-Old Works Two Jobs to Support Family, Wins $30.5 ‘Mega Millions’ Jackpot

Sandeep Singh’s life hasn’t been all that easy. His father passed away when he was only 14, he works two jobs to help support his mother and sister, and he recently went through an upsetting breakup.

And then he won Massachusetts’ $30.5 Mega Millions Jackpot.

“My mom needs the help and my family could use it, so God definitely helped us out at the right time,” a visibly excited Singh said on Wednesday during a press conference.

When asked by a reporter whether he had any children, a spouse, or a girlfriend, Singh revealed that his girlfriend had recently left him.

“She broke up with me, but right now, I’m not really worried about it,” Singh said. “I was heartbroken at first, but now I’m getting over it.”

Reporters then asked the obvious: Will his ex call him back now that he’s a millionaire?

“Doesn’t matter. I hope not,” Singh responded.

Later, in a moment that revealed Singh’s true concerns, and thus his true character, he talked about what he would do with his winnings.

“Helping my mom with the mortgage, helping my family and, like, donating some money to the community. Aside from that, nothing that I want to do, really,” Singh said, adding that he will be giving his two employers, Best Buy and Citizens Bank, his two weeks’ notice soon.

Watch the full press interview here:

Funny enough, Singh used the $4 he won from an earlier ticket to purchase the jackpot winner. Unsurprisingly, he was shocked and overwhelmed when he found out that he had won.

“I was in my sister’s room on the computer reading the numbers,” Sing said. “I didn’t know what to do. I dropped the ticket.”

Although the taxman will take a massively hefty portion of Singh’s winnings (he’ll net about $16.1 million after taxes), he still walks away a very wealthy man.

Good for him.

The State and Federal governments stripped him of HALF his money and yet did nothing to earn it; it’s what they do to the average worker! Yet, my working experience leads me to believe that little more than half the average workers bother to look at their pay stubs and acknowledge all the deductions for taxes; pay their electric, gas and water bills blindly without looking at the looong list of taxes added to the bills – do they even know what those taxes are for? They won’t look for the tax sticker at the gas pump (CA) listing the local, state and fed taxes for every purchase (just shy of $.50per gal, or 1/8th of a gal @ $4 per). They’ll barely blink at the taxes added for the purchase or lease of a car or a set of tools or a bag of groceries…

…but they’ll cheer like a pack of screaming apes when the same politicians that are draining their wallets while lining their own with tax dollars, talk about taxing “the rich”…

    Go figure…

“Although the taxman will take a massively hefty portion of Singh’s winnings (he’ll net about $16.1 million after taxes)…” – that’s $14.4 million the government stole from him. Canada has ’0′ taxes on lottery winnings.

I think lottery winnings should not be taxed as should no income. Tax it when it is spent, not earned or won. Google “damon koch small craft advisory” to read political commentary.

Canada does not have better health care than the U.S. There are Canadians that come down here for treatment and care and if their healthcare is so much better, why would they do that. It also all depends on what kind of report that you are reading. Just like the media tells lies about the conservatives all the time and trashes them, the media also is dishonest on reporting issues from Canada and their healthcare. Believe you me, you will not like socialized medicine if something terrible happens and Obamacare is not repealed. It is disasterous. As a child, I had a sample while living in another country what socialized medicine is like. I nearly died from a simple need to have an appendix taken out.

Lotto winnings should be taxed as capital gains if you invest a money in the stock market they tax at 14-18% . Well a dollar invested in the lotto is no different except for the likely hood of a return on your investment is greatly lessened.

Real Man writes that Sandeep is the reason others don’t have a job. Really? Sandeep is ambitious, supports his family, sounds educated, and is ethical: Two jobs and is going to give 2 weeks notice before quitting! Note his lack of any accent which would indicated native born or has been here most of his life. The obvious conclusion is that Sandeep is NOT the reason for anybody else’s unemployment.

Blah blah blah.. I don’t feel good. Some single d*uche gets $30 Million for doing nothing and I still have a 4-year degree, have 2 daughters to support and an ex-wife who thinks she’s entitled to everything I have. I don’t feel good at all. Give me $1 Million and I’ll make it worth more than this fool will do with his $30 Million.

I detect a slight tone of envy sixfrigates…..and envy is the number one ploy used by progressives to induce mental strife and conflict without having to say or utter a single additional word to their victims. It will not change your personal situation one bit at first….but being happy for just a second for this man will not harm you either….and while you are happy for that split second you cannot be simultaneously miserable about your own personal dilemma. All of us understand your frustration to be sure…..but most of us anyway will also tell you to your face as kindly and nicely as we can….that nothing in this life is unmanageable….and instead of being envious like the progressives pray each night to their devil that you do……be happy for this man who won this money…..please….just think about what I just wrote for a mere second…..it will not harm you to be happy for someone else …….and being happy for just one second or one minute is better than 24 hours of envy….any day

He is not a fool for winning, he went and bought the ticket, like anyone can. However, I do feel for men in your situation. I know it has to be tough and stressful. It is sad to see the break up of families. There are lawyers who now are exclusive for men rights only (just look that up). Remember, as much as she can request for additional money you can put in your own forms for reduced pay (applications can be picked up at the courthouse). Keep record of all “extra” expenses you spend for your child above and beyond child support, you can also do a discovery and subpoena the custodial parents bank and credit reports. Or demand and change custody to joint, in most states the child support is very much reduced or eliminated. Hope it gets better.

All the welfare layabouts, slackers, illegal aliens, scam artists, and the rest of the Socialist/democrat/obama plantation are happy to steal half of the mans winnings and buy votes for the already lost election. They are also buying guns and ammunition and putting we white taxpayers in gunsight when they lose. They will happily send a chunck over to the muslim murderers in Egypt to finance the killing od more American citizens. All obama’s plans are coming to and end. Any watch inflation hit the roof?! Everyone thinks that if we just gave ALL that money or ALL this money or whatever to each American, our economy would instantly recover. First of all, this is redistribution of wealth. That money has got to come from somewhere. Are you a conservative?

That kind of injection of funds would cause runaway inflation that may not just stop at the same purchasing power ratio we have today.
