Is Gloria Allred Planning an October Surprise?

High-profile attorney Gloria Allred won’t confirm or deny Matt Drudge’s recent tweet that she is “about to make a move” in the waning days of the presidential campaign.

“Here she comes. Hearing Gloria Allred out there again, about to make a move. After all, it’s her time of the campaign. Team O at the ready!!” Drudge tweeted Thursday.

Allred, a President Barack Obama supporter who served as a delegate at the Democratic National Convention last month, refused to comment on the speculation to Radar Online.

“I have no comment at this time about Mr. Drudge’s tweet. I don’t discuss meetings with potential clients,” Allred said.

There’s nothing in Drudge’s tweet to specifically indicate whether Obama or Mitt Romney would be the target of such a “move” — the Obama campaign being “at the ready” could mean ready to exploit or to defend — but Allred has generally gone after Republicans more than Democrats, including representing a woman who accused then-presidential candidate Herman Cain of sexual assault.

Allred also represented a woman who claimed in the final weeks of the 2010 California gubernatorial race that Republican candidate Meg Whitman knowingly employed her as an illegal immigrant housekeeper. Whitman lost the election to Jerry Brown.

In 2011, Allred represented the former porn star who exchanged sexual messages with ex-New York Democratic Congressman Anthony Weiner.

It’s not uncommon for rumors to fly in the final days and weeks of a campaign. There was a flurry of speculation over the summer that former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and CIA Director David Petraeus were each on the short list to be Romney vice presidential running mate.

When I lived in Maryland they put out a slandering report the day before the election as the other party would have won in a landslide. Instead he lost in a landslide.   I am tired of these people. When will the President take responsibility for his record and simply run on his record? Why do all these people have to cover for him. Americans wake up vote for the best person for the job and that is Romney and Ryan they are the only humble and Presidential looking team. If Gloria is going to say something negative about Romney why does she not tell us why President Obama the person she supports lied about Libya and his lies about fast and furious, or the fact that the President is trying to buy women’s votes by degrading them and offering them free birth control. I thought she was for promoting women in a positive manner. Suggesting women would vote for President Obama just to receive free birth control sounds pretty degrading to me.   The 2nd debate was an October surprise. There is no doubt Candy Crowley was prepared ahead of time by Obama campaign staffers. That exchange about Libya between Romney, Obama and Crowley was no more a spontaneous event that the attack on our US Ambassador. Both of these events were premeditated and preplanned. Why isn’t the media asking Obama and Crowley how President Obama knew she had a copy of his Rose Garden speech and even more importantly how President Obama knew for certain that she would misinterpret his remarks and help him make Romney look like he didn’t know what he was talking about. Crowley should be fired as a result of that October surprise, no doubt there will be others. Obama will not leave the white house peacefully.

The discussion of Allred dropping a “bomb” 2 weeks prior to the election would also implicate a court willing to take such a case. Everybody from the filing clerk up through the judge will need to be on record. That makes me feel that this is just a publicity stunt. No case could be heard in that time frame and it appears to be a petty attempt by Allred.

  The accuracy is not important to someone like AllRED. Just get a smear out there(eg. Cain) and that will distract and slur what is an otherwise clean team. I saw an ad at the top of Drudge Report today of Orrli Taitze [sp?] and it looked like on Monday she is trying something on these Cards.I couldn’t quite follow it.Did anyone else see this and understand it ? Please Check at the top of Drudge in the Advertisement square.It may keep revolving to different ads.

  I asked my democrat landlord a bunch of questions today. He’s 60 yrs old and is not aware of any thing untoward about this administration….He has no computer or I-phone and gets his news from the MSM.

She’ll pull the stunt on Monday, just hours before the debate.

It’ll be some illegal alien saying how Mitt likes to wear leather garters and cowboy hat and beat his gardeners with a bullwhip, just before bedding the gardeners wife while calling her his slave, threatening to send her back to (state foreign country here) if she doesn’t bring her children to bed with them.

Then, after the media has run with it, and asked questions of Romney and his campaign like, “What does it feel like to be accused of hiring illegal aliens to beat, rape and enslave while racially and sexually abusing their little children for profit?” “Does this mean you’re against illegal immigration?” “Gov., are you a racist pedophile?”…

finally culminating in the form of an apology from Gloria Allred, claiming that her client misled her.

  I have been saying all the time, I know that Romney is ahead in the “real polls” (not the ones that oversample the dems) and that it appears that he is pulling away from BS/BO. Her and the Obama campaign have probably planned to bring some faux client forward. Probably a woman who’s going to say he discriminated against her or something outrageous. This is how Obama works. He did it in Chicago, to disqualify his two opponents and win by default and then against Clinton using race baiting. Reading some of the comments so far indicate to me the obvious of what people think may happen (something against Romney).

But consider this, would someone as greedy and unethical put her own lucrative livelihood and personal comfort in jeopardy by going after the one person who could change the country into a more stable platform to ensure those conveniences?

  Possibly he can’t sue because nobody ever said anything about him that wasn’t true. If that’s not the case, he still can’t sue because to do that you have to be able to prove that what was said about you was untrue, and how do you prove that a private conversation didn’t occur? Even if you can prove that you were defamed and sue over it, you can’t sue the lawyer who represented the person who defamed you. She can’t know for sure whether her client is telling the truth or not.
