140 Anti-Voter Fraud Billboards in Ohio & Wis. to Be Taken Down Amid Cries of ‘Voter Suppression’
One hundred and forty billboards in the swing states of Wisconsin and Ohio are slated to be taken down after the company behind them determined that the group behind them violated its policy on political-themed ads by remaining anonymous.
The billboards featured a large gavel with the words “Voter Fraud is a Felony,” and then noting the punishment. Critics say they were meant as “voter suppression” because the signs mainly went up in minority communities.
“This billboard is nothing but a symbol of pure, unadulterated voter suppression to target an African American community,” Ohio Sate Senator Nina Turner told WEWS-TV earlier this month.
And now the controversial signs are coming down. Reuters reports:
After discussions, the sponsor, whom Clear Channel Outdoor has called a “private family foundation” but declined to name, “thought the best solution was to take the boards down, so we are in the process of removing them,” the company said in a statement.
Crews on Monday will begin taking down 30 billboards in Cleveland, 30 in Columbus and 85 in Milwaukee, Jim Cullinan, vice president of corporate communications for Clear Channel Outdoor, told Reuters.
[...]
In response to the outcry, Clear Channel Outdoor donated 10 billboards around the Cleveland area that read “Voting Is a Right. Not a Crime!” (Editing By Barbara Goldberg and Mohammad Zargham)
As for felons being allowed to vote, the laws differ from state to state. But there has been a push by the NAACP to make the laws allowing such people to vote uniform.

Posted on October 22, 2012 at 10:20amIt just ticks me off to have my vote in Oklahoma cancelled out by some idiot that runs around sniffing Obama, everytime he passes gas and then they go and vote 8 to 10 times on election day. I have what is called a no fly list and I just put Ohio and Milwaukee on it. If Senator Turner runs off enough business the voters will get rid of her. Now when I buy on Amazon, E-Bay or in a cataloug I won’t buy from those vendors. I also won’t be visiting these states that coddle fraud in the name of discrimination. Even after the election these states – like NYC and NY and other won’t get my business or spend a vaction there. Stop these states from stealing your vote.

Posted on October 22, 2012 at 1:33pmCouple things. First, this is a prime example of the lefts blatant racism and patronizing attitude towards minorities. I mean the implications in the reason they are upset is they feel minorities are too stupid and ignorant to read and know that the sign is saying voter fraud is illegal, not voting is illegal (if they’re citizens). I mean don’t minorities ever get tired of being talked down to? Secondly, if the technicality they used to take the billboards down was the fact that the buyers wanted to remain anonymous, why doesn’t the buyer donate the money they would have spent on the billboards to a Republican superpak and have them put the billboards up with their name on it?

Oddly, my own representative visited me last week,
and I voiced concerns about voter fraud (I’m in MN,
the tops in the nation for voter fraud.) So, I told her
I would be at my polling place with my camera – and
take pics of every out-of-state plate I see, and e-mail
them to her. In past elections, it has always bothered
me seeing all the non-MN plates at the polling place.
What are THEY doing here? So, this year it will be
different. I cannot follow up on whether these people
also vote elsewhere, but I’m guessing the State can…
We have to start somewhere, and with cheap digital
pics one person at each polling place might be all
it takes.

What are those policies you spoke of? Also, you failed to report that Clear Channel Outdoor is NOT Clear Channel the MEDIA company.
Voter fraud IS a crime! Folks in every state are required to present an legal ID for the privilege of driving. Does Clear Channel Outdoor support voter fraud, or does it believe that providing legal ID is a valid way of protecting a most sacred right?

GOOD GOD, WHAT IS GOING ON HERE?
You can make them pull down adverts stating the obvious (that voter fraud is a crime) and then the company puts up free boards implying that voting is a right (it’s not…not in the constitution). Rights exist and can’t be taken away without due process of law. Voting is something you must qualify to be allowed to do.

But they won’t do that. WHY ? Because the disgusting, deviant progressive left could not win a position for dog catcher if they did not cheat, mislead and brainwash our youth and seniors.
ANYONE who complains about having to have a picture ID to vote, KNOWS that their party is cheating and rigging the vote count to win, and they are OK with this, since they are convinced that they are superior and it is their duty to govern those less fortunate.
After their prison term and fine, they should also NEVER be allowed to vote again.

Posted on October 22, 2012 at 9:27amI got the feeling while reading the first paragraph that it was the billboard company’s decision to remove signs. They said it was because of a violation of their policy. But, at the same time I wonder how long they collected rent on those signs after the initial payment. I guess they get to keep part of their cake after eating as much as they could. I would also venture to say that it was a political pac that put pressure on them. Or, their home office got a visit by a bunch of guys in purple shirts.
