Chris Matthews Badgers Young Romney Supporter Over Benghazi Attack: ‘Everybody Knows It’s About the Video’

In the hours before the final presidential debate on Monday, MSNBC’s Chris Matthews was talking to people outside of Linn University in Boca Raton. Just before 7:30pm, Matthews walked the crowd lining the network’s broadcast area and allowed folks a few seconds of TV to predict who would win tonight’s debate and possibly the election.

As the brief segment wrapped, Mr. Matthews encountered a young Romney supporter who said he was picking Mitt because “He doesn’t cover up scandals in the Middle East.”

Never one to back down from a fight, Matthews went into “bully mode” and started challenging and badgering the young man:

Matthews: “What was the scandal that was covered up?”

Romney supporter: “Benghazi… well I mean…”

Matthews: “What was the scandal?”

Romney supporter: “Well…”

Matthews: (Pressing) “Get to it! Nail it! What was the scandal?”

Romney supporter: “He said it was about the video…

Matthews: (Cutting off the student) “Yeah it was about the video…” (turning away to the camera) “Thank you… Everybody knows it was about the video, it’s all about the video. Thank you.”

It’s interesting that even after the Obama administration has seemingly admitted that the anti-Muslim YouTube video was not the cause of the attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Matthews still hasn’t gotten the memo.

Evidence clearly suggests that the attack, carried out on the anniversary of 9/11, was a coordinated and pre-planned terrorist attack by radical Islamists, not a spontaneous occurrence sparked by a protest.

  Chris if you didn’t get the memo, here it is, the national intelligence apparatus said “it is not the ‘F’in video” I am paraphrasing (Bidening up) the language from state department officials before congress. Chris I did use the word “intelligence” in the post, but would not include you in the definition.

  I would not be surprised if the guy Chris is talking to was a “plant”. Wasn’t it Chris that confronted the little old lady who said “He’s a communist”, but she wasn’t poised enough to give a full response. The MSNBC crowd loves to see how “stupid” regular people are. This is part of their narrative. Besides, I doubt Chris would ever stoop so low (or be so brave) as to go to a truly random Romney supporter and ask his opinion.

Ann Coulter talked about how the Left are the biggest bullies and Chris Matthews’ exchange with the Romney supporter was just one of a million examples. I don’t think he has let anyone finish a sentence in the past 10 years.

Can we start with a president missing 60% of his National Security Committee daily briefings, who passed on the option of asking follow up question and being engaged. Who brushed off the importance of the briefings because he was preoccupied with his own reelection.

  Whta’s really infuriating is the complete pass the MSM has given the loafer in chief…..nevermind the reason why the attack happened ( even though that is highly relevant ) the real concern for the public at large is simply this…He was elected to do the job, He ran in hopes of gaining the job, He won and has the job and yet when the nation needs him to be in the drivers seat he’s off doing what he wants when he wants…….AWOL at a time when HE should be fully engaged should be part of the MSM narrative. His absence and callous actions/attitude are legitimate areas for evaluation and or criticism. Obama has proven time and again that he unfit for the job (grossly unfit IMHO) and the MSM should take the blinders off and begin to regain some semblance of credibility/objectivity. I guess for the MSM that is asking for way way too much. MSLSD is irrelevant and anyine working for the station is beyond redemption, however ABC and CBS could distance themselevs from the Obama network if only they tried just a little bit.   Exactly! Regardless of what triggered the attack, the mere fact that we lost our first ambassador on the ground since Carter, displays a level of incompetence that is criminal. This is something the WH seemed to miss. To suddenly start blaming everything that happened on the video would indicate that our Consular security is so weak and inept that a crowd of third world, semi-literate, 7th century throwbacks could overrun any of our embassies at any moment and we are helpless to stop them.
  Of course this is not the case and that is why it is such an outrage. I spent time in the military and most of my adult life working for several Airlines. I have traveled to Asia, South Asia, Africa, Central/South America, Europe, Middle East and even Pakistan. When I had a chance to visit our Consulates/Embassies I always saw a contingent of Marines within the compound. Even in Japan where you could say we are pretty safe..There is a reason why we haven’t lost an ambassador in over 30 years. We have the military strength, technology, the Intel, the resources to keep all of our consular staff safe. We had the ability to keep these guys safe. Our President failed these brave men and he has failed this country. He knows it and is desperate to make it go away. I hope that there are enough of us that won’t let this happen.

  Why would you? A) Insults are not arguments and aren’t persuasive. B) If everyone keeps slinging the same insult at each other, it becomes meaningless and only shows one’s “disagreement”. C) it’s not true. Matthews is not showing a lack of intellectual capacity, he is being fundamentally dishonest to boost his politics.

Chris looks like he’s lost a load of weight…might be in preparation at the prospect of being able to spend more time with Obammy after Nov. 6th. I’ll bet Tingles has the Man Country, Chicago, booked on his calendar until next summer…

It will be fun to watch Mathews pull his **** out tonight. Did anybody notice that at that Catholic dinner the other night that Obama and Romney attended, that Obama’s joke about giving Mathews a “stroke” was even grosser than the “tingle”? I don’t think Obama meant “stroke” as in the medical condition… :)
