The Libya Excuse: Beck Assails President on Libya in Powerful Pre-Debate Program

On Monday evening, conservatives across the country will be waiting on bated breath for Romney to hold the president’s feet to the fire regarding Libya. Glenn Beck was no exception as he discussed the administration’s botched-handling of this national travesty.

During the last presidential debate, Obama successfully evaded a question from an undecided voter who asked why U.S. envoys in Libya were denied their repeated requests for additional security prior to the deadly attacks.

Likewise, Obama feigned righteous indignation at the idea he or his administration intentionally misled the American public about the real motivations behind the embassy attacks, even though that is precisely what all the facts appear to indicate.

The Obama administration’s hair-trigger reaction to the murder of four Americans on U.S. soil was not to declare such an attack an “act of war” or fight fire with fire, but rather to apologize for what they alleged was the catalyst for the attacks—a low-rate YouTube video critical of Islam.

While the president insisted that he called the attack an “act of terror” at the White House Rose Garden the day following the attacks, a transcript reveals that he did not. Rather, the president was generalizing about how “acts of terror” overall would not be tolerated. When read in its full context, Obama also made this statement directly following remarks on the September 11 attacks, not the ones in Libya and went on to suggest the YouTube video was to blame for the recent turmoil.

It should also be noted that the official White House press release offered that same day was devoid of the word “terror” and indicated that the YouTube video indeed served as the impetus for the attacks.

Romney might do well to remind that public and the president that U.S. Ambassador to the UN Susan Rice made no less than five different television appearances in one day alone to support the narrative that the bloodshed was catalyzed by the YouTube video and it was not until September 20 — nearly ten days later — White House Press Secretary Jay Carney ceded that it was “self-evident” the carnage was a coordinated terrorist act.

The GOP rival will have an opportunity to redeem his missed opportunities during last week’s debate and pursue Obama more doggedly on the host of inconsistencies, half-truths and even outright lies perpetrated by the administration about the terrorist attacks in Benghazi.

A must point for the debate tonight. Romney should not ASK the president to explain himself. If I were him I would simply state “One has to ask, why. Why when the president was notified about the Libya attack on our embassy, why if the president is so concerned over finding out what happened and who is responsible, why during the actual five hour attack resulting in the torture and murder of our Ambassador and three other Americans was the president willing and able to go to bed. And why the next day even as the buildings continued to smolder, was the president able to get on a plane and continue his normal schedule of fundraising and campaigning. And just how could this man insist standing before America in the last debate the HE was insulted that some Americans were asking Why?”

I wonder how many American (because of multiple tours and “meds”) soldiers have committed suicide since the 4 were killed in Libya?

Is Glenn Beck talking about them? Or do THEIR LIVES… NOT QUITE FIT THE NARRATIVE OF “Obama = bad.”

  Actually I think that narrative fits quite well with “Obama = Bad”
  
  I think I can speak pretty surely that during the Bush years, our service men and women knew very well why they were there and what they were doing and why it was important. In the last four years everyone I talk to in each branch (and I know a large number in a wide variety of positions) have no clue what Obama’s intentions are, what the outcome desired is, who the real enemy is, and why their friends are dying. Yes, I think the question of service moral and purpose and emotional strength as well as the quality of life of our service families is very much relevant and goes to the point that our Commander in Chief is clueless and dangerous.

  I just want to say how proud I am of all the American Patriots for their hard work the last 4 years. This is absolutely the biggest election in my life time. I am so proud of the Tea Party, Glenn Beck, Shawn Hannity, Rush Limbaugh, Michail Berry, Michelle Malkin, Ann Coulter and all the others that have exposed the truth. Barry watched the act of war on our embassy that killed four Americans in real time with the drones he uses so often. He knew it was an act of war that night yet lied repeatedly about it and this is just one of many reasons to fire the Marxist mulatto fraud heathen POS. Romney should hammer the candyass coward on this incessantly and when Bob ‘the shill’ Schiefer jumps in to save the worthless bastard Romney should simply ignore the shill,talk over him and eviscerate the disgrace to our species and end his reign tonight.

Al Qeada works for the west. Thats the truth. This “spontaneous” up rising by people across the middle east is not spontaneous at all. This was a well thought out plan to topple peacefull countrys across the middle east. We trained Al Qeade fighters at our bases in Turkey. We have funded them with weapons money and training. Glenn Beck and his national security expert wont tell us that though. There is no diffrence between rommney and obama on foreign policy. obama started two more wars and thinks its ok to have a secret American kill list and kill Americans.   You have to hand it to them – they are great at self-preservation. Nobody in their right mind should trust the democrat or republican parties but here were are tonight with millions of people tuning in to see which person will ‘keep us safe’. It is a national embarrassment. There is no question in my mind that they are sowing the seeds for a foreign distraction to occur while they re-make our economy and our system of government
