TIME’s Joe Klein: Libya Controversy ‘Really Isn’t an Issue’
TIME’s Joe Klein weighed in over the weekend on the September 11 attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, seemingly dismissing the entire situation in an effort to downplay the controversial aftermath.
“This business about the…Libya consulate has been like the October mirage — it really isn’t an issue,” he remarked on “Meet the Press.”
Klein was likely trying to exclusively reference the Republican claims that the administration has been misleading the country, but is coming under heavy fire for being so dismissive about an event that resulted in the gruesome deaths of four Americans.
Klein also said that President Obama and Mitt Romney have “essentially the same positions on foreign policy,” so Monday’s debate will be “fascinating.”
He added:
And so, once again…Obama is going to have a very strong position because his foreign policy has been largely successful in terms of substance, but in terms of style, he still has to climb — re-climb the mountain and make a convincing case to the American people that they will be more comfortable with him in their living rooms the next four years.
President Obama cites the killing of Osama bin Laden as one of the cornerstones of his foreign policy achievements and– until recently– credited the so-called “Arab Spring” for bringing freedom and democracy to the Middle East. After the attack in Libya, though officials have confirmed that the White House knew within 24 hours what really happened, the administration spent more than a week saying a YouTube video caused a spontaneous protest that killed four Americans.
Newsbusters’ Noel Sheppard wrote: “Honestly, have you ever in your life seen so many so-called journalists dismiss the importance of American officials being killed by terrorists?”

Posted on October 22, 2012 at 2:04pmWell, according to another Klein (Aaron Klein investigative journalist, 770 WABC):
Lie #1. Benghazi “consulate” is not a consulate, but a mission by CIA operatives. That’s why there were no usual Marines security. It was guarded by a few Libyan soldiers and a private American security firm.
Lie #2. It was not a consulate but a CIA operation center arming Libyan, Syrian, Jordanian, whatever, militants, INCLUDING AL QAEDA. Something went wrong, and our spooks were killed by one of their partners – militia, or by one of their competitors, or by Iranians, or… who knows…
That’s why nobody sent QuickResponseTeam with helicopters to help them… which were just an hour away in Italy… sending QRT would be an admission of illegal operations…
This is Obama’s Iran-Contra in development…

Posted on October 22, 2012 at 3:59pmI think it’s laughable that camp O clearly lied for their own political protection and then accused Romney of using Libya for political gain. This administration takes credit for every gain and blames bush for every loss. The dem congress rejected the Republican idea that credit default swaps were dangerous. And they blame bush for the collapse of the economy! What a joke! Watch: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hxMInSfanqg
We need to get rid of this administration and put America back on track to real prosperity…End the failed socialist agenda on Nov. 6!!!

Posted on October 22, 2012 at 12:04pmThis is the modern Marxist critical theory aka brainwashing and propaganda in action,, simply criticize everything about your opponent, true or not and ignore, deflect or diminish any criticism of your side.
Demokratchik (Statist: demokра́тчик, plural demokratchiki) is a colloquial term for a full-time, professional functionary of the Progressive Leftist Socialist Communist Party or government; i.e., an agent of the governmental or party “demokrat” (Statist) that held any position of bureaucratic or political responsibility.
Members of the “demokrat” were frequently transferred between different areas of responsibility, usually with little or no actual training for their new areas of responsibility. Thus, the term demokratchik, or “agent of the statist” was usually the best possible description of the person’s profession and occupation. The sole function is to subvert any opposition to the party and promote, facilitate and expand that party power and influence. These ”democratchiks” were promoted and embedded into high levels based on their ideology and not competence, education or skills.
Not all demokratchiks held lifelong positions. Many only entered such positions in middle age.
Historically, this term was derived from the Soviet “apparatchick” meaning from “Communist agent or spy”. In modern terms, Communist refers to “Statist” and a “demokratchik” is an agent whose sole purpose is to expand the State and promote its un

In order words according to her, we still do not know what happened and may never know – its the fog of war. Brett Baier at Fox can do a whole hour on what specifically happened but at CNN they are still acting dazed and confused.

Posted on October 22, 2012 at 11:57amThe same foreign policy, the same fascination with making sure the media pays special, very special, extra special, attention, to stories regarding violence committed in gun free zones? Where do you see that in Mitt Romney’s attitude, policy, agenda notes, or anywhere? Where do we see the fact that Mitt Romney would dare have the audacity of hope that militant Muslims would not embarrass the United States on the world stage, yet again, as they did during the Jimmy Carter years?
What part of Mitt Romney’s foreign policy suggests that he would hire people so negligent in their affairs, that a US embassy in the most dangerous part of the world, would be unguarded, let alone unguarded after the ambassador himself, asked for more protection? What foreign policy papers suggests that Mitt Romney would even put an openly homosexual government employee in an area of the world known to take that lifestyle offensive, let alone suggest the United States is indifferent to their concerns?
We know why the Libya debacle happened, the negligence of the Democrat Party to protect their own employees is apparent, if anything, the Democrats are attempting to divert eyes from their own negligence, acts of preventable tragedy that occurred on their watch, as an apparent opportunity to blame the Republicans for making something “political”, which means, not holding politicians in power accountable for their actions?
Negligence is political?

Substance on Obama’s foreign policy? Here Klein is true to the facts: if Romney takes advantage of the foreign relations in the Obama’s administration, he has more than enough substance to cook Obama to the bones.
