Sam Wolfson (Steve Miller/WBBM Newsradio)
A 75-year-old small business owner in Chicago has been labeled a “racist” by a vandal after posting an anti-Obama messages on his store window, CBS Chicago reports.
Sam Wolfson is reportedly a well known shopkeeper in Lincoln Square and has been well respected by the community for more than a decade.
Written by hand on plain white paper, Wolfson posted the following messages on his store window:
“Romney, if you want to be president, you have to say this: ‘If I’m elected, I will not bow down to the king of Saudi Arabia’” and “Obama I built this business working 7 days a week, you didn’t.”
He told WBBM Newsradio that he came into work one morning and found a response written in lipstick.
“I was coming to work and in lipstick it had a sign, ‘Racist.’ I’m not a racist. My wife is Spanish. Come on,” he said.
Wolfson says this kind of behavior is to be excepted during such a highly contested election year.
WBBM Newsradio got a reaction from at least one local resident.
“I don’t necessarily disagree with the sentiments by the lipstick vandal…But I don’t condone such actions,” one person said.

In fact, I’ll go as far to say that I’m racist against any solid color, pure race of people. Although, I’ve never seen anyone like that. I wonder if Greeks are a pure race? I’ve never met a Greek person either.
However, I do like mixed races…any combination will do. Probably because I am a mixed-race person. And I like myself. I’m german, english, bohemian, french…and more. I have dark skin with blue eyes (from father). That means I like a lot of people…because I don’t personally know anyone that is of a pure race. I’ll bet you Rev Jesse Jackson is not pure black. He’s just a little too light to be pure black. So I should like him…but I don’t…because he’s a trouble-maker. And he can’t see very good…or he’d know that most white folks have some colored-mixed up race in them. I also have never met anyone purely white. What is a white race, anyway? Do you qualify as white if you’re just sorta white…or mostly white…or just 5% white (but look starkly white)? If you are 5% black…are you considered from the black race? Does one have to have any color to be non-white? How much color? What if someone was really tanned? Does that qualify as “colored”?
