TAMPA, Fla. (TheBlaze/AP) — The FBI is joining an investigation into bogus letters sent to many Florida voters, including the Republican Party of Florida chairman, that raise questions about their eligibility to cast ballots.

Tampa FBI chief Steven E. Ibison said Wednesday the FBI will focus on letters received by voters in 18 counties in central and southwest Florida. State authorities have received reports of letters in at least 23 counties.

The letters claim to be from county supervisors of elections but were all postmarked from Seattle. They raise questions about the voter’s citizenship and appear intended to intimidate people.

Florida Republican Party Chairman Lenny Curry claims he received one of the letters as well. He released the following statement:

“This type of activity is not only disgusting, it is criminal, and must be prosecuted to the full extent of the law…I call on Florida Democrats to join me in condemning this false letter writing campaign that appears to target likely voters in Florida, and help RPOF get the word out about this false campaign.”

Ibison says voters who get a letter should first contact their local election supervisor to see if it’s authentic. If not, voters should keep the letter and contact the FBI.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement has also opened an investigation.

Do they think those who received the letters and are here illegally will actually contact their town or city manager to see if the letter is for real?

These people are not intelligent enough to realize that this will motivate more conservatives to come out and vote than would have otherwise. Keep it up, you tards. You are poking a bear with a stick. You are about to lose a limb.

Yesterday 6 new Romney signs went up in my neighborhood compared to the 2 Obama signs that have been here for 3 weeks. Today; 2 more Romney signs and 1 new Obama sign.

And no ACORN/Obama supporters going door to door at all like 2008.

Things are looking up here in my part of Tampa. : )

The United States goverment took the gold from the citzens in the 1930′s. So not only is your money not safe if you have invested in gold it is also at risk.

      How bout this one Sue?

While suturing a cut on the hand of a 75 year old rancher, whose hand was caught in the squeeze gate while working cattle, the doctor struck up a conversation with the old man. Eventually the topic got around to Obama and his role as our president.

The old rancher said, ‘Well, ya know, Obama is a ‘Post Turtle”. Not being familiar with the term, the doctor asked him, what a ‘post turtle’ was. The old rancher said, ‘When you’re driving down a country road and you come across a fence post with a turtle balanced on top, that’s a ‘post turtle’.

The old rancher saw the puzzled look on the doctor’s face so he continued to explain. “You know he didn’t get up there by himself, he doesn’t belong up there, he doesn’t know what to do while he’s up there, he’s elevated beyond his ability to function, and you just Wonder what kind of dumb ass put him up there to begin with.”

Typical left wing voter harrasment. Take your money out of the banks. If Obama wins he will take control of the money and banks. Remember Hitler took control of the monetary system.

Rick, do you know the goverment also took the peoples gold in the United States in the 30′s.? So it isn’t only your money thats at risk if you have invested in gold you may want to bury it. Don’t think for a minute Obama won’t come after it.

We moved and re-registered in a new county, and suddenly, even though we are die hard republicans, we continuted to get Obama ads in our post office box. We had to call the DNC and make sure they knew we were not happy. The ads stopped immediately. Thus far, nothing has arrived, but it’s embarrassing when you live in a small town. People enjoy gabbing, and what they don’t know, they make up….. The last thing we wanted was for Obama ads to come to our postal box. Heaven’s to Betsy!

During the George W. Bush presidency, there was also loads of phone calls made to people leaving an automated electronic message telling people “your voting place has changed….” and then it gave a false address into nowheresville the day before election day. Lots of people drove around and got lost and eventually made it by later that evening to the election poles, well, at least most of them may have. People complained but it was too late and election day was already over. Nothing is ever investigated, that’s the problem. If anyone actually cared they’d have every state show a voter I.D. and stop this messing around.

Seattle? An infamously Lefty location. This sounds like an infamously Lefty tactic too. Billboards to criticize voter ID, while secret drones to foster voter ID. So ” transparent. “
