Obama Says Old Video Shows He’s the ‘Same Guy’ as 10-12 Years Ago, So We Checked And…

While criticizing Mitt Romney and his “Romnesia” on the campaign trail today, President Obama told voters in Iowa that they could “take a videotape” of things he said 10-12 years ago, and be able to say he is the “same guy” with the “same values,” who cares about the “same people.”

“There’s no more serious issue on a presidential campaign than trust,” he added seriously. “Trust matters.”

Well, inevitably we took notice and decided to see if Obama’s statement added up. Buzzfeed chose to make good on Obama’s challenge, too, compiling a bevy of clips of Obama’s past remarks throughout the past decade, from his stance on gay marriage to the Cuba embargo.

Below are a few of the videos they chose, mixed in with a few of our own.

  Obama changed his last name to Owebama. Like all politicians his positions have changed from time to time. The difference is that too often his policies are not the best for America. For those that care to investigate, Owebama’s path has been declared. No thanks. I prefer Romney and at least an attempt at American exceptionalism.   If there was a tie in the number of Electoral College points between the candidates, the House of Representatives would choose the winner. Thanks to many people waking up in 2010, that currently means that Romney/Ryan would win. If Romney loses, I think there will be riots by the entitlement leaches. Just look at the 1Million tweets that people did last week calling for Romney to be assassinated if he wins. Heck, if Obama wins & starts his new “Flexible” term, you may see riots anyway once the other nations of the world stop buying US Debt and the economy collapses. Either way, be prepared for what may come.

  @ Wolfgang…You are only half right. If there were a tie in the electoral count, the House of Representatives would indeed choose the winner of the Presidential race, pretty much assuring that Romney would win since Republicans have the majority. However that ONLY holds true for the Presidential candidate…the VICE President would be chosen by the Senate which has a Dem majority, so the most likely outcome would be a pronouncement of Biden as VP. Is the country ready for Romney/Biden? I think not!

  @Wofgang…actually, the House chooses the President and the Senate chooses the Vice President. It is entirely possible that we could have a Romney/Biden ticket. I, however don’t think the Senate would commit suicide like that. They know if they put Biden back in as Vice President, the Democratic party is toast. Of course, it would make good insurance for Romney because I don’t think either side wants a Biden for president.

Absolutely! I’ve been doing some comparative research on Obama from then to now because the root of Americans anger against him is that he talks the talk, but can’t walk the walk. What he says is different than what he does. Anyone remember the democratic debate between Obama and Hillary where he outlined the fact that his “Universal healthcare” plan was different than Hillarys? You know, the one where he said he OPPOSES fines or taxes on those without healthcare ?(“..That was a .. Are you kidding me? Why do Democrats always accuse others of doing exactly what THEY are doing? Is it because since they’re doing it (lying), they figure everyone else must be too?

Barry is right about one thing, though – Trust matters, and Barry has proven, beyond a doubt, that he can not be trusted. With that said, I’m off to vote for the man I can trust – Mitt Romney.

FYI:

My 11 year old son is watching TV. He just spotted an ad for the movie “2016″ for ON-DEMAND rental. We have DISH network, but I would bet it is playing on other cable and satellite venues from now till election….. If you haven’t seen it (we haven’t), check it out.

We are going to watch it as a family later.

Obama is, without doubt, the most despicable man to ever hold the office. When you lie, and have no core values, you will always be caught by an A-B comparison of your speeches, etc. This man talks about trust the same way he talks about everything. If his mouth is moving he’s lying. His performance during this Libyan fiasco is just another notch in his belt as the Worst president Ever. Maybe World’s Worst human Being.

  Bill Clinton had a bad habit of twisting the truth and still does but Obama has taken it to a whole new level. He has lied so much he has forgotten the lies he told and cannot keep the story straight. Like my Dad would tell me when I got in trouble as a kid the truth only hurts a little but if you lie to me you will not be able to sit for a month. Spare the rod and spoil the child. The only thing consistent about Obama is his inconsistency. I can’t help but think that he certainly believes, especially of his own supporters, that voters will not even bother to do some research (which is probably true), which is why he can say what he says.

Obama has lied so much, he can’t tell the truth. His new trick is to challenge people to ‘look it up’, ‘go ahead and look it up.’ He know people can’t do it and when they do, he’s long gone and he knows the lame stream media won’t say a thing.

It’s going to be hard for them to ignore his latest lir though, 4 Americans got KILLED. He KNEW exactly what was going on in Benghazi AS IT WAS HAPPENING. He, Biden, Sec of State Hillary Clinton, Sec of Defense Leon Panetta and other KNEW our boys were GETTING KILLED and did NOTHING to help them and then lied for 3 weeks about it.

Proof is out now that they knew immediately what was going on. The FOUR of them should be in jail now for TREASON. What happened to this great country?
