Report: 1 Person Fatally Shot at Megapastor Creflo Dollar’s World Changers International Church

Local media are reporting that a shooting took place this morning at World Changers International Church in College Park, Georgia. This is the church that is run by megachurch pastor and televangelist Creflo Dollar, who, earlier this year, was arrested and accused of “hurting” his daughter (he has denied these claims). MyFoxAtlanta.com has more about the shooting:

Fulton County police say one person was shot on Wednesday morning inside World Changers International Church in College Park.

According to authorities, the victim was rushed to South Fulton Medical Center. The person’s condition is not known.

Rev. Creflo Dollar is the founder and senior pastor of World Changers International Church. According to the church’s website, worship services are held on Wednesday mornings at 10 a.m. in the chapel.

WSB-TV is reporting that the victim died after the shooting broke out in the church around 10:30 a.m. While he was sent to the hospital in critical condition, he later died. According to sources at the church, the church hosts a weekly Bible study and the man who was killed is a member of World Changers International Church’s production crew.

Fulton County Police Cpl. Kay Lester told The Associated Press that the suspect got away in a vehicle and was still at large after the Wednesday morning shooting at World Changers Church International in College Park.

World Changers Church International is one of the nation’s largest, and its website states that it serves nearly 30,000 members. The church is led by the Rev. Creflo Dollar, its founder and senior pastor. There was no indication that he was injured.

@JWT…. Oh, I beg to differ. You sound like you don’t know HIM or have a ‘covenant’ with HIM. If you did you wouldn’t say that. I had 4th stage breast cance; 6 months to live… I opted out of chemo/radiation treatments. I believed what JESUS SAID, and I was healed, totally. That was 14 years ago. Still did not return and never will. Sorry to burst your bubble.

@ tearsforAmerica……………duh! the old covenant ( Mosaic law) is a ministry of death ( as writtien in the epistles of Paul) The NEW COVENANT refers to A covenant with Christ Jesus. That’s what makes us born again Christians…………….duh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Willingtoupe, may I suggest that you get out your bible and read “turn the other cheek” in it’s full context. In no means does it mean allowing someone to bring harm to Christ Jesus flock. Then just for fun you can read Psalm 144 1-2 a personal fav of mine. God bless brother.

  Luke 6:29 says, “To him who strikes you on one cheek, offer the other as well.” I see no where in that scripture that you are to initial offer yourself for abuse. The ‘enemy’ (verse 27) strikes without your permission, then it says, offer him the other, not ‘turn’. It is for you to offer because it is showing restraint on your part not to ‘live’ by the (sword) flesh. (verses 35-38) In context; all is for your benefit and great is your reward. God will deal with your enemies. God is a God of Love but also a God of Justice. God loves justice (Psalms 89:14)

Praying for WCIC – I have for the past year+ been lead to the teachings of Pastor Dollar. Before you judge the man and his message maybe take a few weeks and “listen” to it! I watch him online on Sundays and Wednesdays – he is teaching the gospel of the new covenant. I am a living testimony that if you do the right thing because you WANT to out of LOVE FOR GOD, good things will be drawn TO you – by faith you receive His grace. In this economy my business is GROWING and I want for nothing!

Those who just want to label him are not willing to listen to his word because – the Truth – will make you look at YOURSELF and make you realize that you CAN’T do it on your own. If you think you can, you are deceived. Those of us learning from Dr. Dollar know the Truth and we are in GOD’S economy. We are to be set apart from those who don’t believe – Jesus did it all – so others will seek the peaceful life we have and ask us how to get it, as well as be able to HELP others. The devil is the one that wants to steal it….you see….I pray for God’s guidance in everything I do. I put GOD first. I plan on being wealthy AND a light in the world.

  P.S. Dr. Dollar is not in the bag for BHO. He regularly states marriage is between a man and a woman, and did so earnestly after BO approved of it. He also prays over our government and asks that those doing evil be removed and replaced with God fearing people (without naming names). He also is close to Kenneth Copeland, Dodi Osteen, and Jessie Duplantis. And speaks of Wall Builders Founder David Barton and Joyce Meyer….not the liberal set I’d say.

  ANGELONLINE- Creflo Dollar is a mixed bag and “a new covenant” usurps the old one that Jesus Christ taught…many of the people you mentioned that he follows are emergent church pastors that go off in the same direction as liberation theologists- it is all about me, what I deserve, what I want…not what Christ did on the cross of Calvary…oh my dear, Jesus said “It is finished!” and I pray that God will open your eyes to these doctrines that ONLY gobble up the truth of Jesus and destroy His children.

Doggone it–can’t get my daily dose of GOSPEL explained to the only ones who UNDERSTAND what the GOSPEL IS!!!! If you know NOTHING about a subject-ONLY YOU are capable of explaining the SUBJECT to the ones….who…actually KNOW what the subject IS….TOO funny!   The KING was put to SHAME on a Cross nearly 2000 yrs. ago…..time is SHORT–but YOU still have time. The King of King and Lord of Lords died on that Cross for you. Why be jealous of Dr. Dollar because he is willing to give his life over to The LORD–? It’s called BLESSINGS for a REASON. Don’t be jealous–there’s room at the Cross for you….there will be a LAST soul saved. Willing to gamble are you? Too bad.

  Is it okay for the average person to live lavishly and not for a pastor? Creflo makes his money off the material that he sells. God does not want us to be broke and impovished. This is not about his money; it’s about prayer for this person’s family that has lost his life.

If the devil is leaving you alone–then that means you are NO threat to him and his agenda. Time is short, (You might want to watch what you say about Pastors’ you obviously know nothing about. How much do you KNOW of Dr. Dollar’s Ministry? His years–DECADES–of service? Is he “perfect”? No, and he knows it. That’s the POINT–he knows he needs Jesus, and he’s not SHY about making that declaration.) Can YOU say the same? Rhetorical Q, please–between you & Christ,

local cc statute ban concealed carry in churches…
clearly, though, the bad guys pay no attention to the law, so the ‘not allowed’ provisions generate additional victims… that said, one person shot sounds like a grudge, not a crazed lunatic.
sad to see people here marginalizing a church based on the behavior of an individual, mayhaps not even a parishioner or staff member.
maybe there should be cries of ‘the war on religion’… nah, let’s make our arguments based on facts and logic, rather than emotion and fantasy.
