Glenn Beck Responds to White House Benghazi Memos | Ansar al Sharia

Glenn Beck took to his radio show Wednesday morning for a fiery denouncement of the administration’s handling of the crisis in Libya.

“This president is lying to you about Benghazi in such [a] spectacular fashion that I believe people will go to prison. This is impeachable. The president might go to prison for this one,” he said. “What’s happening in Benghazi is so far beyond lying, it is staggering.”

While politicians are known for twisting words into half truths, Beck added that has never seen an administration persist in such a boldfaced lie when American lives are at stake, or seen a media so content to let it slide.

He continued, going over the newly-released documents that prove the administration was alerted to what was really happening in Libya before spinning a story about a YouTube video:

Now we have [the] beginning of the truth on Benghazi. Five days into the Benghazi scandal, when no one was saying anything, I presented a theory…I told you that [Ambassador Stevens] was involved in running guns, and he was running guns to al-Qaeda in Libya, and he was running guns through Turkey into Syria. And whether it was a deal that went bad, I don’t know, but that’s what happened. And the White House knew…And while everyone else was arguing about whether it was a videotape or not, we were furthering the story.

Today we have evidence that is staggering. We now have a memo posted [at] TheBlaze…to the White House two hours after the attacks began. Last night on the TV show I laid it out again…exactly what happened, when. At 1:00, or 12:54 in the afternoon on September 11, the White House was warned that somebody was watching the Benghazi safe house– and so you know, do not let any member of the press get away with calling this an embassy safe house. It is not. It was a CIA safe house. Now why, in the most dangerous place in one of the most dangerous parts of the world, on Sept. 11…why would he be at a CIA safe house? …We now know he was having dinner with the general counsel of Turkey. [Emphasis added]

Beck reminded that it has been widely reported that President Obama has a close relationship with the Turkish prime minister, before continuing:

An hour after that, the Turkish ambassador leaves through the front door and the front gate, unmolested. Now you tell me– why was the Turkish general counsel there? …Why was it so important on Sept. 11 to go to the most dangerous city, into a CIA safe house?

An hour after he leaves, the fight begins. We now know that the White House– somebody, the military, somebody, sent a drone. So there was a live video feed of what was going on. They’re watching it in the State Department, they’re watching it at the Pentagon, they’re watching it at Langley, and they’re watching it in the Situation Room. At 5:00 in the afternoon, Leon Panetta has a meeting with the president of the United States. The first email comes at 4:05. So the Secretary of Defense arrives at the White House to have a meeting with the president 55 minutes after the Situation Room and everybody else gets an email saying, ‘Libya, the safe house is under attack.” [Emphasis added]

Beck proceeded to read several more emails explaining how our personnel in Benghazi were missing and under attack, before he got to one timestamped at 6:07. According to the memo, Ansar al-Sharia had claimed responsibility for the attack and– though he isn’t sure– Beck said it’s possible that Ansar al-Sharia was one of the groups that we gave arms and funding to during the war to overthrow Gaddhafi.

“This is why the White House covered, because our ambassador was killed by [guys] we were running guns to, and we are still running guns today.”

He then read an international report from Russia Today saying U.S. Stinger Missiles are in the hands of Syrian rebels, adding that the New York Times has also reported that we are using the Muslim Brotherhood to arm the rebels in Syria.

Beck concluded the segment:

“This president is on the wrong side. It is so crystal clear…let’s just take it one step at a time. The President of the United States of America, the Secretary of Defense, the Secretary of State have all lied to you. They lied to you and said, ‘this might be a video, we don’t have all the information, the information is still sketchy, it’s confusing,’…We now have the documents that came into the Situation Room saying, ‘There’s an attack, they’re watching.’ Then, we have the documents that we had a live video feed in the Situation Room, so they could see that there was no protest. Then there are the documents– and there’s now 13, with this new one– there’s now 13 different documents saying it’s a terrorist attack, and here’s the group that’s doing it. And they lied to you.”

White House Press Secretary Jay Carney responded to questions about the newly-released emails by saying there was “all sorts of information” coming in at the time.

Under Article III, Section 3, of the Constitution, any person who levies war against the United States or adheres to its enemies by giving them Aid and Comfort has committed treason within the meaning of the Constitution. The term aid and comfort refers to any act that manifests a betrayal of allegiance to the United States, such as furnishing enemies with arms, troops, transportation, shelter, or classified information. If a subversive act has any tendency to weaken the power of the United States to attack or resist its enemies, aid and comfort has been given.

The Treason Clause applies only to disloyal acts committed during times of war. Acts of dis-loyalty during peacetime are not considered treasonous under the Constitution. Nor do acts of Espionage committed on behalf of an ally constitute treason. For example, julius and ethel rosenberg were convicted of espionage, in 1951, for helping the Soviet Union steal atomic secrets from the United States during World War II. The Rosenbergs were not tried for treason because the United States and the Soviet Union were allies during World War II.

Under Article III a person can levy war against the United States without the use of arms, weapons, or military equipment. Persons who play only a peripheral role in a conspiracy to levy war are still considered traitors under the Constitution if an armed rebellio

  Nice to know that the Treason Clause applies here, right? After all, we still have boots on the ground in Afghanistan fighting Al Qaeda in a war, after they attacked our country on 9/11/2001… and this was an attack committed on 9/11/2012 by a leader affiliated with Al Qaeda.

These emails and live video feeds and earlier warnings are not the same as ‘other evidence’. Jay Carney needs to be grilled about the ‘variety of information’, what they specifically were, ALL evidence of a youtube related mob (there isn’t any for an event that did not occur), and when will it be released to members of CONGRESS (who DO HAVE SECURITY CLEARANCES as required)!

  It is looking more and more like I was correct in believing that the ambassador was left to be taken out on purpose for some reason, perhaps to hide the knowledge that the ambassador had that if it got out would prove that something heinous was being perpetrated by the Bammy administration.   Hard to believe the President and this administration may be guilty of treason. But the truth cannot be avoided just because you don’t want to believe they are capable of this. The evidence is mounting and it is extremely hard to explain this one away to partisan politics. The administration is in trouble, but remember they chose this route. And sometimes bad choices result in consequences. Consequences that will be severe no doubt. The chips are going to fall. I feel for those who were sitting at the table and participated in this mess.   @ Water-the-tree: Right you are!!! the killing of Ambassador Stevens is meant to cover up the Middle East version of “Fast and Furious”. I believe he was sent from Tripoli to Bengahazi to try to either retrieve heavy weapons and RPGs or at least keep them from being smuggled into Syria or Palestine by Hezbolla, Fatah, Hamas and Al Qeida.
  Any action by the administration to protect the ambassador would have “Tipped their hand” as to the involvement of this administration. There was plenty of time to send a helicopter gunship followed by a Quick Reaction Force to protect and then rescue Ambassador Stevens. They didn’t do it, and with the ambassador “Out of the way” there wouldn’t be anyone to be able to tell the real truth or testify about what happened and why.
  Obama and Hillary both knew what happened! They knew that it was a terrorist action perpetrated by the North African brancn of Al Qeida. They had PLENTY of prior warning!!They hoped that the American Public would swallow the fairy tale they spun about it that it was just a riot, all about the video, and that they would never have to admit the truth about their involvement in this operation. WELL IT FAILED!! Most Americans knew from the git-go that their explanation was a lie. We just didn’t know why they lied till now. COVER-UP!!!

  Just think about it in clear headed terms. No one is denying that the administration was monitoring this attack while it was in progress. I think that we need to demand proof that within the first five minutes, troops were being mobilized to go to the aid of the consulate. Alternately, if no orders had been issued, impeachment proceeding should be put into motion. If any consulate at this moment were to report that they were under fire, it would be the responsibility of our government to go to its aid immediately.

Nontheless, I would never have dreamed that the President of the United States would be guilty of treason. That is not to say that it has not happened and is not happening. It’s just to say that it is hard to believe anyone would do this. Much less the President of the United States. The administration is corrupt and a disgrace to the nation.
  
  Ohhh, I almost forgot. I watch media with credibility. If media sources have credibility I watch. If they don’t, I pay them no attention. Why would you?   Oran’s Dictionary of the Law (1983) defines treason as “…[a]…citizen’s actions to help a foreign government overthrow, make war against, or seriously injure the [parent nation].”
  
  To avoid the abuses of the English law (including executions by Henry VIII of those who criticized his repeated marriages), treason was specifically defined in the United States Constitution, the only crime so defined. Article III Section 3 delineates treason as follows:
  
  Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort. No Person shall be convicted of Treason unless on the Testimony of two Witnesses to the same overt Act, or on Confession in open Court.
  The Congress shall have Power to declare the Punishment of Treason, but no Attainder of Treason shall work Corruption of Blood, or Forfeiture except during the Life of the Person attainted.
  
  However, Congress has, at times, passed statutes creating related offenses that punish conduct which undermines the government or the national security, such as sedition in the 1798 Alien and Sedition Acts, or espionage and sedition in the 1917 Espionage Act, which do not require the testimony of two witnesses and have a much broader definition than Article Three treason.

  The penalty for High Treason is specific. We are legally at war and the Democrat Congress passed a law declaring that America is a combat zone. Obama is the Commander and Chief of our Armed Forces at a time of war and therefore comes under the UCMJ. He can be tried in a US military court.

  I see nothing treasonous when you look at the REAL facts. First off, Beck left a WHOLE lot out of his little speech today. When then 1st email came in, it said that the Embassy was under attack but that there was security there helping out. Then the 2nd email came before 5:00, which was when Beck said Obama 1st met in the Situation room. That email said that the fighting and shooting had stopped and that they were going to do a sweep to see how everything was. The 3rd email came in around 6:00 stating that a terrorist organization had taken responsibility for it (6 days later this organization retracted their role in the attack.) On top of all of this, there was a lot of intelligence coming in that made things confusing. Beck mentions NOTHING about security at the site and that the attack had stopped by the 2nd email. He just says that they watched it in real time and did nothing.
  
  Why is so difficult for you all to see that it is quite possible that the Administration thought that things were under control since the emails stated so (there was security there and the fighting stopped less than an hour after their first email arrived. They did not know about the deaths until much later.) Could it be because of your hatred for Pres. Obama, you’d rather believe untruths and conspiracy theories brought about by Beck and others to bring down an Administration than to research the truth and give the Administration some leeway when dealing with such a difficult situation

The first law passed by Congress was the Declaration of Independence and in this law it states we have the right to change things for “just cause.” Our case of a just cause is ready to be presented to “The Creator” and we will stand judgement for our coming decisions just as our Founding Fathers did. We must pledge our mutual trust, wealth, and sacred honor in the coming challenge of forming a new nation. These things must be debated in the coming months and years.

  clara i share your hope that we will become able to change americas course after this election. My concern is that human nature will take over for some of thos politicians and they will go play their high school game(a lot of times it seems like congress is just an adult high school) there have been many people who go in there wanting to truly help people but then later by making so many comprimises and whatever they eventually lose their way….i hope im wrong on that but im stating an opinion of how it seems….America needs only 2 things to survive and become super prosperous again.
  1 we need leaders to run this nation not bickering politicians… a leader who doesnt care about criticism and will stand up for whats right and moral, and will defend all aspects of the constitution fervently…not these politicians that just bicker annd such(im being very general here…)
  2 Parents who teach their kids fervently proper morals and how to act properly, how things run, and how to not let what anyone thinks or does affect them at all
  
  basically parents who are involved in their childs life and teach them the important stuff themselves

  There will be no prosecutions now or after the election. This will just fade into history. Why? The water is already muddy and criminal wrong doing in politics is always hard to prove. And by prove I mean in a court of law. Secondly, to prevent political witch hunts after elections, we have executive privilege. The sword cuts both ways and could easily be abused. Can you imagine the mess if we put ousted leaders in jail after every election. That sounds like it would be a good thing until you realize that’s a banana republic style government. Unstable and not lasting. There are plenty of worthy trade offs in our form of Government and this is one of them. The founders where wary of criminalizing politics. Same reason congress can’t be prosecuted for lying on the floor. It has to be egregious. This could easily fall into that category but the resulting fight could tear the country apart.
  
  I would like to see some prosecutions but not at the expense of our precious republic.
  
  Nixon resigned in disgrace after Woodward and Burns uncovered the Watergate scandal.
  Different time and an unfriendly media.
  
  Reagan was accused of wrong doing solely by the media and an unfriendly media at that.
  
  Clinton wasn’t really brought down and the media tried to protect him. They went kicking and screaming.

Who in the U.S. is responsible for carrying out the edict of one found guilty of ‘high crimes and misdemeanors?’ Whose job is it to apply the cuffs?

This appears to be a high crime, and there have been 4 years of bread crumb trails of misdemeanors; just take your pick-

-associations with Muslims
-’wait till after the election….more flexibility….’
-the ignorant media worship
-the BOWING to foreign leaders
-giving away phones for votes
-giving pizza for votes

This has just gone so far, I had enough the day the Churchill bust was returned (as we now know, Obama’s father strongly disliked the British involvement in Kenya, and Obama does have his father’s dream).   It doesn’t matter what the MSM says or the Admin. says. Yes, Romney may well get the votes to win, but, that does not stop Obama, et.al from declaring Marshal Law, once the riots start, and he, Obama, becoming another Chavez. People don’t seem to understand the bigger picture here. You and I, the American voter, has NO control of what our government does. They do what is in their own best interest. They don’t give a flip what you or I think, want, need. All they see is their own agenda. That agenda is keeping their jobs and reaping the benefits from us tax-paying rubes that keep voting them in. And we keep voting them in because we don’t have any other recourse. I’m voting for Romney because I see with him it will be a slower bleed towards a socialist country, that being The United States of America. Maybe, just maybe, with Romney in we’ll be able to stop the bleeding. These ploiticians (both sides and in all spectrums) will tell you want they think you want to hear to get your vote. They’re all garbage and don’t give a fig what the real American people want. It’s a sad state this country is in. We’re screwed and screwed hard. How do we change this? I don’t know. I really don’t think the American people can change it. It’s gotten to big, to out of control. Like I said, “We’re screwed and screwed hard”.

  My opinion is that Stevens was a mark, he very well could have let out that he was going to expose the gun running, the Turkey admin met with him to “stage” the scene, once he left they started. That could be why BO had drones watching live and did not react.

  Ford “pardoned” Nixon, but not for criminal activity since charges were never formally brought. Nixon resigned before that happened and was pardoned for any possible infractions, etc., that occurred under his watch. (If I remember correctly, and I think I do.)

If Romney is elected he will get a pardon—–the International Boy’s Club ya know.

Course, it will never come to that, because the media won’t expose the story enough to enrage the American people to action, and thus, no Congressional action will take place, with the exception of a few hearings……all of it meaningless

No impeachment. No prison. He won’t even get a slap on the wrist. Although, no doubt, he is locked out of Michelle’s bedroom for botching the cover-up.

  @Mom, I think he will leave if he loses. I think he would be too narcissistic to be willing to suffer the indignity of being removed by federal marshals. It would have to be a clear win for Romney though. If it is really close, or if it went to the House, he might try it thinking that he could get a mob to defend him. You might even have different law enforcement agencies pitted against each other. The next two months might be a very dangerous time for America depending on the results.. remember also that they are already catching voter fraud in NC in bobo’s favor.
