Former Joe Biden Aide Writes Controversial Tell All Book: Egomaniacal Autocrat

A former aide to Vice President Joe Biden has written a tell-all book that describes the VP as an “egomaniacal autocrat” who was “determined to manage his staff through fear” – an October surprise that the Obama campaign probably didn’t see coming.

Author Jeff Connaughton, a former Biden Senate staffer, says Biden originally inspired him to get into politics but the experience working under the former Delaware senator caused him to become disillusioned with the political system in Washington.

The book is called “The Payoff” and it was actually quietly released last month. Connaughton writes, as Politico describes it, “in the fashion of a guilt-racked whistle-blower: he was a party to a corrupt system and now he wants to blow the lid off the game.”

“I came to D.C. a Democrat and left a plutocrat,” writes Connaughton.

Per Politico’s Jonathan Martin:

As chief of staff to former Sen. Ted Kaufman (D-Del.), Biden’s successor, Connaughton was radicalized by his unsuccessful experience trying to get an amendment to the Dodd-Frank financial regulation bill that would have broken up the country’s largest banks. So he left Washington politics and wrote what he believes is the unvarnished truth about the country’s political system. The big reveal: Big banks control both parties.

“It’s time people understand why – and how – Wall Street always wins,” Connaughton writes at the outset of his book.

He is harshly critical of his own party and the Obama administration, arguing that the president is no different than most other Washington Democrats in his willingness to kowtow to Wall Street.

President Obama and Biden, he writes, are “both financially illiterate.”

Connaughton also writes about the 2008 campaign gaffe when Biden said Obama would be “tested” quickly into his first term.

Biden reportedly told his staff that Obama had “called and told him sharply that he didn’t need public tutoring: ‘I don’t need you acting like Henry Higgins.’”

“Biden said his private reaction was, ‘Whoa. Where did this come from? This is clearly a guy who could restrict my role to attending state funerals or just put me in a closet for four years,’” the author writes.

“I’m going to have to earn his trust, but I’m not going to grovel to this guy. My manhood is not negotiable,” Biden also reportedly said about Obama.

    When your actions are continually excused as “Joe being Joe” there is no end to the stupid things which will come out of your mouth. In other words, there are no consequences for Biden’s spontaneous stupid utterances.

    Any person who would say what Biden said to the father of one of those killed in the Libyan massacre would be expected to be an egomaniac. Biden is so full of himself he can’t think beyond what is manufactured in his own garbled head. Garbage.

      It isn’t only Biden, but also Obama when he shook the hand of the father of the slain man in the Libyan assault and the father said it was like shaking hands with a cold fish. And Hillary who told the father it was because of the video. These people only care about their agenda and it doesn’t matter who is killed in the process of advancing their evil agenda. We are seeing powerful, wide spread evil at work and I pray it will be defeated.

      Biden and Obam are soulless. They have nothing inside but evil. They are only driven by their own egos and the desire for power and money.
      If you do not believe me just take a long honest look at their eyes. The eyes are windows into ones real self.
      Those of you that can’t see this are void of decrement or are willing to sell your own soul just so you can get the crumbs from the masters table.
      For me it is as clear as looking out the window to see what the current weather conditions are.
      The bible tells us that many will be deceived.
      We saw this kind of blindness during Nazi Germany and I am afraid it has returned.

      For me I will continue to work to defeat this evil and if it cost me my life then I will die knowing that I did my part.
      May God be with those who stand up and fight and even those who can not see and can not fight. May he open their eyes before their last breath.

    !5-20 years ago I read a non-fiction book that went in depth on the Mexican cartels, tunnels dug from Mexico to US and a a lot of the mess in full bloom now was beginning. There was in depth portions on Bush Sr., Biden and another person in congress I can’t recall. I’ve tried to find the book (authors name was Mill or Mills?) and have been unable to do so. The portion on Biden was not a pretty picture, not pretty at all! His antics then were just amazing. Seems now they are much worse. The poster who spoke of good life insurance for the ‘One’ by picking Biden for VP was spot on. One does to tend to think of Biden (heartbeat away business) as taking the ‘One’s’ place. That’s all it takes. I can see why. Biden was a sorry person then and he is more sorry today. Sorry, Sorry, Sorry. I knew something like this was on the way. Just a simple matter of time.

    I knew this was coming. 15-20 years ago I read a non fiction book (I’ve tried hard to find it-the authors last name was mill or mills?) that described Mexican cartels and the tunnels etc., and covered Bush Sr., Biden and another I can’t remember in depth. It was an eye opener on Biden. What he is doing now and how he is acting was just getting started back then. It was NOT a pretty picture of Biden. Not at all. There is something wrong in his thinking and his actions. Then he was a sorry person, now, even more so…Sorry, sorry, sorry!!!

    With only 11 days until election day, this is too little too late. A lot of states have early voting. Many people have already cast their votes. Everyone else has already made up their minds, who they will vote for. The media has ignored all the voter intimidation and voter fraud.

    If Obama is re-elected, I totally blame the lame-stream liberal media, for giving Obama a free ride and covering for him the past four years. Obama has never been vetted. The media treats him like a God. I truly believe, there is a “special” place in H*LL for liberals.
