President Mistakenly Says He Wants ‘Wind Turbines Manufactured Here In China’

President Barack Obama during a campaign stop in Denver, Colo., on Wednesday had a minor slip of the tongue while touting his so-called “all of the above” energy policy.

“I want fuel-efficient cars and long-lasting batteries,” the president said, “and wind turbines manufactured here in China!”

The president immediately realized what he had just said and corrected himself.

“I don’t want them manufactured in China,” he said, “I want them manufactured here in the United States.”

The president’s misstatement can almost certainly be attributed to the rigors of campaigning.

But who knows? Maybe he was trying to give Vice President Joe Biden a break from the gaffe news cycle.

  First HE gives-away our taxmoney to HIS doners in GREENJOBS! Seccond, HE GIVES ALL GREENJOBS-WIND-GENNERATORS TO CHINA!

  It is time for all true Christians to get on their knees and pray that Godly men and women win this election. Evil is alive and well and it is in the Dem. Party and main stream media! As David Barton said in the Victory magazine 81 % of the nation opposes homosexual behavior, 80 % approves of voluntary prayer in school (look what happen to public schools when God was kicked out of schools!), 89 % opposes the use of abortion as a means of birth control. If this group voted their values the election would be a landslide! Time for people of faith to step up to the plate, if not this country is history and religious freedom is gone! there is a commercial about our debt to china and at the end of the ad the sinister china man states that they (USA) works for them, maybe that is the new scenario, the chinese own lock stock and barrel the usa and will let the manufactering jobs come back and pay us the slave labor

Look, I don’t support anything that President Obama stands for. But some of you nitpicking so called conservative reporters are just as bad as the left when it comes to picking on every little slip of the tongue. President Obama immediately corrected his mistake (which you reported), but you try to make his slip a big deal by reporting it anyhow. Are you looking for real stories, or are you filling space? Be objective, better yet, GROW UP!

  The reality is that wind turbines from China are making their way to wind farms in the US. What does Obama propose to keep that from happening? Blanket statements stating that turbines will be manufactured in the US are wishes and dreams – not part of a strategy. BTW, has anyone done an independent TCO analysis for the different types of energy sources?
