Rep. Jim Moran’s Son Resigns From Campaign After Release of Latest O’Keefe Undercover Video
ARLINGTON, Va. (TheBlaze/AP) — The son of Rep. Jim Moran (D-Va.) resigned from his father’s campaign Wednesday after a conservative group released an undercover video in which he discussed a plan to cast fraudulent ballots.
Patrick Moran had been a field director for the campaign.
The resignation came hours after Project Veritas, an organization led by activist James O’Keefe, released a video showing an undercover operative pitching a voter-fraud plan to Patrick Moran. The plan called for casting ballots in the name of 100 voters who were registered but rarely voted.
In the video, Patrick Moran expresses doubts about the plan but eventually tells the undercover volunteer to “look into it.”
In a statement issued Wednesday night, Patrick Moran said, that “at no point have I, or will I ever endorse any sort of illegal or unethical behavior.”
“At no point did I take this person seriously. He struck me as being unstable and joking, and for only that reason did I humor him. In hindsight, I should have immediately walked away, making it clear that there is no place in the electoral process for even the suggestion of illegal behavior, joking or not.”
Moran said he stepped down because he didn’t want “to be a distraction during this year’s critical election.”
Jim Moran’s campaign office released a statement, saying: “Patrick is well liked and was a well-respected member of the campaign team. This incident, however, was clearly an error in judgment. The campaign has accepted Patrick’s resignation, effective immediately.”

Posted on October 25, 2012 at 11:10amLong gone are the days when most elected leaders were men of good conscious and character. This is really apparent in this case. A man of character would say that my son’s decision gives testimony about how I helped raise him. So his decison was bad and I need to accept some of the. responsibility for that and resign my position immediately. That’s what a person of character does Mr. Moran. I am sorry you fell short of that threshold sir. Let’s hope the voters in your district see this flaw and rememdy the problem!!!!

They are both voter fraud but only one is getting coverage.

Dude….when you are a Democrat…. reality lives in a far away land. People are watching you on video doing the very thing you are claiming you never did. The Democratic party is full of these types of lowlife dirtbags.
Maybe, he thinks he will be o.k. if he says he was just kidding. What is the penalty for promoting voter fraud. The campaign said he is “well liked and well respected”. It seems that being a low life, lying, cheating, fraud are required to be “well liked and well respected” within the DNC.

Used to be a time when people actually valued honesty. Nowdays it seems, honesty is a quaint little value that must die before you can succeed in politics or the entertainment industry, banking or just about anything. Regardless of faith or lack thereof, a society HAS to have some sort of moral compass in order to thrive. America is falling away from everything good she once stood for, hence the rest of the world falling into chaos. Praying for America, our troops and all the women in the muslim world that endure the pure evil that is sharia law.

It’s no wonder the Dems fight so hard against voter ID laws …those laws would disenfranchise the libs out there who want to cast 100 votes….and of course that wouldn’t be possible with a voter ID.

If you have proof of voter fraud, then submit it to law enforcement. If you have knowldge and do not submit it you are guilty
Fraud is fraud no matter who is doing it. Voter ID laws would take most of the doubt – out

Otherwise we could wind up with the Black Panthers intimidating voters again. What a joke the left is turning the whole election process into. There should be mandatory 25 year sentences for anyone found tampering with the election process regardless of party lines or who is involved.

Posted on October 25, 2012 at 12:57amI know Cong. Jim Moran. I have also met Patrick, back when he was a kid. So it’s sad to see he would stoop as low as his dad. But having been involved in politics in the 8th district in Virginia for a long time before I moved away, this will probably have no effect on the race. Jim Moran will still win by his usual 2/3′s of the vote. You see, character doesn’t matter to the liberal dems in NOVA.

I know these people well. Congressman Moran would need to commit a capital offense to lose this election. Heck, I’ll bet he could be arrested for a small crime days before the election and still win whilst behind bars.
LIBS DO NOT CARE ABOUT ETHICS OR MORALS, ONLY POWER. Everyone on this website needs to understand this fact.
