Giuliani: ‘You Know’ Obamacare Will Mean Free Condoms and Viagra, ‘It’s Only Fair’

Giuliani: Obamacare Means Free Condoms & Viagra

Credit: AP

Former mayor of New York Rudy Giuliani did not hold back on his critiques of President Obama in a keynote speech to the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Wednesday night. In describing the implementation of Obamacare, Rudy referred to the “commissars in Washington” covering every type of medical treatment imaginable under the powers vested in them by the new law.  Even Viagra.

“You know an Obama appointed commission is going to cover everything.  If you cover condoms you have to cover everything, right? If you cover condoms you should cover Viagra.  It’s only fair.”

In CONTROL, Glenn Beck presents a passionate, fact-based case for guns that reveals why gun control isn’t really about controlling guns at all; it’s about controlling us. Find out more HERE.

Not to sound like I am pro-choice, I do not believe the federal government should be involved in reproductive rights. My daughters have to take the hormones that birth control pills have in them, to help with their skin complexion and prevent acne. I am always embarrassed to have to pick up their prescriptions, because people may think I am providing my daughters birth control, but it’s for their skin.

“If the 100 million women who use oral contraception today did not do so, we could expect 30,000 women from this group to experience VTE. If we use the most conservative numbers from the studies cited here and assume that half of the women on oral contraceptives used second and third generation pills and half used drospirenone containing oral contraceptives, we can expect some 80,000 women to face life-threatening blood clots.

This means that 50,000 more women would suffer from life-threatening blood clots in one year alone!”

My wife lives in an Asian nation, and due to some legal issues, she can’t come here yet. I think Obamacare should provide me with free plane tickets and time off work so I can have sex, too. Why are they only funding for some people to have sex, but not for others? This is a fairness issue. Why are they discriminating against me? They won’t let me have sex with my wife!

I totally agree with Giuliani’s comparison. In fact, this is what I wrote on Oct. 18th:

“I simply cannot believe that a vast majority of women are not deeply insulted by this idea of the ‘war on women.’ It is a ridiculously phony concept based on the idea that women are only concerned about issues related to their lady parts. This is very telling, and it shows exactly how Dems and the Left really view women. Imagine if men were appealed to with “free condoms, pornography, and viagra for every man.” And by the way, there is no reason why Planned Parenthood should be getting federal funding. They get hundreds of millions of dollars every year from the government. Why? Are they a gov’t organization? They might as well be.”

Viagra is very expensive. Birth-control is cheaper. If my husband needs viagra or I need birth-control then my husband and I should have to pay for it ourselves. People who want to have sex, but need meds to have sex or need meds to stop an unwanted pregnancy should have to pay for said meds themselves. Why should I expect a total stranger to pay for something I need when that same stranger, in paying for something I need, may not be able to feed, house, clothe his/her family because of my needs?

While I do not support the free contraceptive coverage in the ACA. I don’t understand Giuliani’s logic either.

On the first point, I don’t see how contraception is more important that, as an example, insulin for a diabetic. Why should insulin have a copay and condoms or birth control not?

On the second point, birth control is to prvent pregnancy. Viagra is treatment for ED, which is is a completely different issue. How does coverage for one imply coverage for the other?

Giuliani is pointing out that 0bamacare will force insurers to cover just about everything that they can think of. This commission he speaks of is still able to add other conditions and prescriptions to what the insurance companies still lucky enough to be in business will have to financially cover. Its the attempt to eventually put the insurance companies out of business so that the U.S. Government becomes the single payer. Should 0bama win re-election, this will be easy to accomplish within the next four years, then we will be stuck with it. Next to no health care.

Wanting to have sex is not a medical condition, it is a desire. Diabetes is a medical condition whereby not enough insulin is secreted by the pancreas.

The world mafia is focused on population control. The US, 5% of the world population, uses the lions share of world resources. US children have to be reduced. This is a UN population control policy not womens rights policy. We are never told the truth. The truth is covered in a cloak.

It is REALLY easy to destroy a successful capitalist economy. Just contaminate the well with government meddling, centralized planning, and it dies like grass being watered with gasoline. Argentina has always been used as an excellent example. Capitalism requires a healthy measure of freedom to survive and prosper. Remove that freedom and the prosperity that comes with capitalism stagnates, withers, and decays.

when i was in training, we saw high school girls coming in for fertility evaluations, because ‘all their friends were pregnant.’ then you’d see the same girls with their moms and siblings using WIC coupons at the grocery store.

which is why some of the more outspoken OB docs would say in the lounge that to obtain welfare, there should be mandatory contraception. it may be contrary to your religious belief, but after all, Obama believes the church should have to pony contraception up to their employees. i know of no biblical passage against encouraging others to take care of themselves, and it’s still generosity providing aid but with strings attached.

the only ‘war on women’ is the administrations throwing all women under the bus as being incapable of taking care of their own reproductive needs and decisions… this is the path to a summary judgement that ‘all women must have an abortion so that those who choose to do so do not feel humiliation and lose self esteem compared to the women who have not.’

i am opposed to abortion personally. but i recognize free will, and the present law of the land. i have read about what happened when it was butchers in back alleys. i would not stand in the way of a woman choosing to have one, but don’t want to fund it. and for the religious connotation, my God will protect unborn souls, regardless of a lack of baptism.

get your neighbors out, vote to prevent government ‘taking care’ of everything.

Then let welfare provide contraception, which we are already paying for through our taxes as bascially, forced charitable donations. I totally disagree with health plans being forced to pay for contraception. And to include abortion in the definition of contraception is an abomination. Education in self respect and responsibility for one’s actions should be taking the lead, not encouraging our young people to engage in recreational sex. We learned (after the fact) that our local freshman high school sex education class was teaching (using real bananas as teaching tools) seven ways to apply a condom. The teacher actually demonstrated how a girl could apply a condom using her mouth. I am not kidding here, folks!

Raydocx, since abortion and birth control have become available, the amount of unwed young mothers has shot up dramatically. Abortion is not stopping welfare, it’s enabling it.

The why isn’t hard to follow. By taking away the safeguard of the end result of sex, people no longer think a good stable marriage and family are necessary. If a “mistake” happens, it can be taken care of. Only some of those mothers realize, they cant murder their own child, so these unwed mothers raise their children. But childrearing is extremely hard on a single parent, plus, how can they each their child values when they didn’t follow those values themselves, eh? Over time, the childish attitudes of irresponsible parents prevail. More and more people begin having recreational and/or pre-marital sex. More and more single mothers or children raised by parents with relaxed values give rise to more children of the same. Our children are raised parentless and fatherless across the country.

Saving yourself for marriage isn’t just a good idea, it’s a character building trait. The only thing that will fix this is to rebuild our values. And we can start by saying no, murder is NEVER ok. Back alley? Why do you feel sorry for them? A mother who would murder her own child, THAT is dispicable, and any person who would help her murder her child is just as low.

You do not fix wrong with more wrong. You fix them by halting your sin and following what God told us to do.

The “butchers in the back alley” is a ploy by planned parenthood to make people think they are saving women from a gross abortion. The only problem is that even a “clinical” abortion can cause sterility, emergency hysterictomy, and other things that can destroy a womans ability to have children when they do want to. Fact is abortion should not be covered and expensive and adoption should be more affordable.
