‘Wilkow!:’ Romney and Obama Campaigns Focus in on Ohio
Both candidates for president are campaigning hard in Ohio Friday. No Republican has ever won the presidency without winning Ohio. Republican Ken Blackwell, former Ohio Secretary of State, Cincinnati Mayor and candidate for governor; joined ‘Wilkow!’ Friday to discuss the campaign in the Buckeye State and what issues will move Ohio voters one way or the other:

Posted on October 27, 2012 at 5:25pmI hate to rain on everyone’s parade, but Obama is going to win the election. You can thank Ohio Gov. John Kasich, a Repub. I am a register republican since I was 18 years old. I had been a big supporter of John Kasich for 30 yrs. He was the first politician’s hand I shook, while he walked in the Reynoldsburg, Ohio Tomato festival in the 1980′s. I was at the rally in Westerville Ohio when Mr. Kasich kicked off his run for Governor. I even voted for him, but I will NEVER vote for him again. Most of my friends are republicans, and most have changed parties because of John kasich and the way he came into office and ran rough shod over hard working public workers. People forget, a lot of public employees are republicans. And unfortunately, a lot of them are voting their pocket books. (At least, that is what they think.) Because of the large victory in 2010, Mr. Kasich thought he had the right to come in and attack workers on pay, benefits and pension. (Things he did not mention during his campaign. At least, I didn’t see it, but I did hear him say he wanted to get rid of the state income tax, and the inheritance tax) BUT, after the election he would NOT support drug testing for welfare recipients. (something he stated he would do before he was elected. ) He has been a nightmare for the republican vote in Ohio. Don’t misunderstand me, I will vote for Mitt, the less of two evils. I would rather lose money, than lose my moral compass. Hopefully, I’m wrong.

Posted on October 27, 2012 at 7:45amI live in Ohio, in a fairly Democrat district. I have lived in this area most of my life and have never seen the number of Republican yard signs compared to Democrat. I know this is anecdotal, but it does bode well for Mitt Romney. I think he’ll win Ohio and the presidency. Type “damon koch small craft” into your search engine to read fresh political commentary.

Posted on October 26, 2012 at 9:45pmI believe Obama will win Ohio, there are many loyal Progressive Democrats in that state. I admit, Romney probably had a slight edge for the presidency until the GOP senate candidate Murdoch made those statements about rape. Romney already made an ad supporting Murdock so it is too late for him to denounce his support for Murdock’s candidacy.
The GOP has lost support among women because of their shameful comments about rape. Paul Ryan even worked with Todd Aiken to redefine rape. I predict that after the GOP loses this election, they will encourage more pro choice candidates to run in 2016 in order to reach out to women.

Posted on October 26, 2012 at 9:58pmYou are obviously drunk on your own ideology. You will not be shaping any perceptions here with your shallow, agenda-driven “analysis.” You should probably focus your efforts on Yahoo! or HuffPo or somewhere you might actually get some traction with your leftist spin. Blaze readers see your comment and just roll our eyes at another shill urinating into Hurricane Sandy’s winds.

I am not here to convince you all to become progressives. One of my purposes for being here is to simply point out why the GOP is in danger of losing this presidential election along with the senate elections. The GOP should accept defeat graciously in this election cycle and choose more pro choice candidates for the 2016 elections.
People like Todd Akin and Murdoch are hurting the credibility of the GOP and conservatives. Senator Scott Brown made a statement the other day that there need to be more moderates in congress. I am not a fan of Scott Brown but I strongly agree with his statement.
Democrats, including myself have under estimated Romney as a presidential candidate. However, one factor which may contribute to Romney’s downfall in this election will be his support for senate candidate Murdoch. This will very likely lose the popularity he gained among female voters

Posted on October 26, 2012 at 9:27pmWhere I live we have a lot of liberals that will be coming by for free Halloween treats. I’m thinking about putting a sign on my door that reads…
“Unemployed and cannot afford candy for you this year. Please thank President Obama for this. Do you expect any candy next year?”
Any ideas about this? (No trolls please) I wonder what would happen if this were done all over America before the election? Also, I am unemployed and really cannot afford to give out candy this year.

Posted on October 26, 2012 at 9:47pmWhatever you do, keep it simple with easy to understand vocabulary (no big words). Since you are in a swing state, approximately half of your neighbors are stupid. (the other half will vote for Romney in November) Hopefully, for all our sake, the majority will vote for Romney.
