Ann Coulter Explains to ‘Sexist, Misogynist Pig’ Piers Morgan Why Men Shouldn’t Tell Women to ‘Calm Down’

(Photo: CNN)
Conservative columnist Ann Coulter appeared on CNN with Piers Morgan Friday, where she explained why women shouldn’t be able to vote just minutes after calling the host a “sexist, misogynist pig.”
After watching the new “Voting Is Like Doing It” Obama advertisement, Coulter said the clip is a perfect illustration of why we should consider raising the voting age, and repealing the 19th Amendment.
“It’s going to be my exhibit henceforth for both of the groups I want to take the vote away from– young people and women, all in one combo platter,” she joked. “It was a rash experiment and we should reconsider the 19th Amendment.”
After that, Morgan claimed Coulter called him a “sexist, misogynist pig” during the commercial break.
“Can you explain why?” he asked. “What have I said that’s been remotely sexist?”
“Calm down,” Coulter replied, imitating the host.
She explained:
It is the conservative female’s obligation to– I am not hyperventilating, I’m disagreeing with you, which apparently is insulting your teeny, tiny male ego.
It is the most insulting, condescending, sexist thing to say to a female– generally conservative– who disagrees with you. No, it’s my obligation to back down and accept your point. And if I don’t, “You’re not being calm.” [Emphasis added]

She’s calling someone sexist because they told her to “Calm Down” yet she is arguing that women should not be allowed to vote. Hhmmmm, I’m confused.
I would absolutely LOVE to have a debate with Ann just to get a better understand of how demented and convoluted here reasoning is.
We need more intellectuals in this world and fewer over the top pundits that throw around words they don’t understand just for the sake of confrontation. The real travesty is I don’t think any of her loyal viewers (you Blaze bangers included) have any idea what those words mean.
Even in death, it is the triumph of natural selection that you have promoted the survival of your species. With that in mind, I encourage you all to help the homosapien race and kill yourself.

If so, I must tell you, I have been a visitor to this site since it’s inception and I have had several disagreements with people from the left, but in all that time I have never read a more hateful statement by anybody. If you are serious it is my belief that you should be ostracized by all decent people who read this. There is no room in civil discussion for that level of vitriol. It is a sad state of affairs if your ideology drives you to hate your fellow Americans to the point where you wish them dead. So sad.

Posted on October 28, 2012 at 3:27pm@VOTEBUSHin2012 ……it is really a pretty poor use of post iPad 1 decorum…..to not know how to create a username that does NOT contain the name BUSH in it since no Bush is running for anything. And let me tell you my little closet drag queen….that in a debate…on any subject…even one of your own choosing…that Ann Coulter would rend you asunder. As in eviscerate. Since it’s Halloween and you have chosen to throw the Camp Kill Yourself tone in to your post I will gladly add it to mine…..In a debate…Ms Coulter would leave your entire bowels laying on the desk before you. And then most likely in a pure “Bill Clinton to Paula Jones tone”…..she would advise you to “Go get that upper lip checked out by a doctor”. I am somewhat amused by your non-use of the word Halliburton however….as apparently the spell check queue of your new iPad has not reached the letter “H” yet.
In closing….you really can’t be serious having a wanton “love” of debating Ms Coulter…..unless and of course you yourself are in possession of a general death wish. Because that is just exactly what the end result would be in the rhetorical sense. You are to Ann Coulter as the teenaged girl on Elm Street is to Freddie Krueger. The only difference between Ann Coulter and Freddie Krueger in this context…is that she is real and he is not. So I too would love to see you debate Ms Coulter this Halloween weekend…..you would be looking backwards well past November 6th.

These women respect and Love Jesus, GOD and the HOLY SPIRIT and try to emulate MARY but are not subject to “what someone else is wearing” or church being a “fashion show” – not to say that other Church women don’t but …..
I agree with ANN. Women who have made homes, raised kids, helped thier husbands not only live better lives, but they raise better kids, have a better home and their husbands do better too. This isn’t saying women don’t have a mind, we do, but now we can look back and realize that the Communists made a very assertive effort from the 50′s on to rip America apart: Take GOD out of our schools, destroy our history (text book revisions) , infiltrate our schools with communists, take WOMEN OUT OF THE HOMES.
There is nothing more impressive than a well groomed woman who runs a great home, who volunteers in the community and who has raised wonderful kids, been a great wife. NOTHING else gives as much pleasure or is more appreciated by those close to her. I also don’t believe women should be Priests/Preachers (Sunday School Teachers? Sure ) And look how outspoken I can be… I believe in people speaking their minds and being aware of what is going on, but I’ve shared this feeling for decades…A woman’s place IS in the home, after about 20 years she can pursue anything, she can study for it while she is at home, now many people can work from home. ANN ROCKS!

He interrupts and he has been acting like his opinion is the best. Alot of people should be having that prime time slot…..years ago I’d have given it to Glenn Beck because he was actually bring forth information. O’Reilly’s info is recycled stuff that was already on Fox in every time slot before him. I like Laura better than O’Reilly. He may be past his prime. I don’t like his imposing bullying schtick most times but for every soul watching him….is another soul that has a chance to be saved politically….on that one point I hope we all might agree….better to watch OReilly or nothing at all during that time slot. It really does tweak OReilly that neither Obama or Romney will set foot in his studio this year though. It genuinely has OReilly tweaked…..and that’s actually a good thing…when his is knocked down a notch or two he generally is more effective and efficacious.

Posted on October 28, 2012 at 9:44amNot just young women but very young people as a whole. Their decisions are generated by passion/emotion/impulse due to immaturity of the frontal brain. Young people do not achieve this adult mechanism until roughly the mid to late 20s. Neuropsychologic fact. Great deal of research into this from perspectives of sociologists, neurologists, psychologists and extending deeply into the arena of law as evidenced by a flood of teen and young adult offenders into the system. Reading some of these case studies, we think, “what in the he!! was that kid thinking?” Immature frontal lobe development.
I agree with Coulter here. To avoid the impulsivities associated with youth, the voting age should be raised to, say, 30 and like the previous poster believes, a voter should have a vested interest in the country; have experience in the work force, pay taxes and perhaps should even have owned property. Why should one be able to vote for instituting a tax or rules upon others if one does not participate or have a vested interest in the system him/herself?
Just food for thought.

Posted on October 28, 2012 at 11:40amAs a woman, I am greatly offended at the “history” of women’s suffrage. A small tidbit of truth with a lot of revisionist embellishments- kinda like Michelle Obama “recreating history” -huh? Women as a group did not have a special “right” to vote. The right to vote was for property owners. So IF a couple owned a farm, or a house or a business( as stake in the Country) they had a vote. Imagine the headache of a very rural country and travel, and paper ballots etc, the head of the household voted-a representative if you will-for a number of reasons. If a woman owned something, as a widow, inheritance or goodness sakes she earned it- she got to vote! Imagine a rule or regulation the Government actually followed, by no means am I claiming a woman’s life was easy.(I hate even saying that but to avoid the standard-so are you saying a woman’s life was easy?- snarky comment, I do) To claim the filter of ownership in the Nations wealth was not prudent THAT should be your argument, not that women couldn’t vote. This infuriates me. It would only make this country great again tomorrow, if net taxpayers(those who actually own a stake in the Country) were the voters. Those who paid the dues decided. Imagine. We should all get to vote in SEIU elections or AFL-CIO elections, after all they operate in our Country. Who cares if we pay dues or not we should all decide.

Posted on October 28, 2012 at 1:36am“Calm down” is a man’s way of attempting to take control. Period.
TELLING another adult person, especially one with which you are having an intellectual exchange of ideas, to “calm down” is a demeaning and subtle way of being dismissive, rude and even abusive.
The fact is, women raise their voices and speak louder and in a higher pitched voice when they are sure of themselves, passionate about something, when they are heavily invested in an idea, and/or when there is a good chance the other person isn’t really engaged in respectful listening.
Men, poor souls, relate this at a deep level with the tone of voice Mommies use when their little boys are peeing on the dog or eating dirt from the vegetable garden.
Do a little “inner work”, my friend, and give 1/10 of the effort women in general give to try to understand the male species. We women are truly tired of doing most of the heavy lifting for you guys.
As to Ann Coulter, I like her spunk and grit and the “calm down” comment from Piers or O’Reilly to these highly accomplished, well-spoken women is really pathetic and belies a possible dislike of women, or at least of COMPETENT women.

““Calm down” is a mans knee jerk reaction to dealing with irrational women who scream, cry or resort to violence to get their way, which isnt only a Republican woman thing, theyre all crazy.” ~~~ And oblama’s way of treating everyone, except Valerie Jarrett.

Posted on October 29, 2012 at 12:22pmActually the screaming hysterics are from dealing with a irrational male who masks it in calmness. After about the thirty’th time of calmly explaining why something won’t work we finally lose it when they insist calmly that it will.[After a few times of going along to get along and the diasters it ensues, you will speak up, I assure you]
Men attempt to manipulate women by going out of their way to make us angry. Then step back and calmly proclaim that its all our fault. If they could they would go back in time and blame us for every war diaster that has ever happened. Now if you will excuse me I hear the bellow that its my fault waterloo was lost.Gotta run.

Posted on October 27, 2012 at 7:27pmThe answer is that there should be three qualifications to vote:
1) Citizen
2) Registered
3) Holder of a taxpayer’s verification card from the IRS stating that you filed and had a net pay IN greater than or equal to zero.
No skin in the game, no vote.

Posted on October 27, 2012 at 7:36pmI’ve been screaming that for years……only those paying in and have skin in the game should be able to vote. Topped off with term limits and a nice sprinkle of a balanced budget amendment. That would be a good start for this country.

Posted on October 27, 2012 at 8:29pmI do not agree I am retired and no longer pay income taxes as I no longer make enough where I have to pay anymore. But they sure do get enough without me having to pay income taxes. I still do not like thieves in office no matter which party this party has made many know that no other time in their lives did their vote mean so much to the future of our country.

Posted on October 27, 2012 at 9:51pmWeather you like it or not, human nature is to take care of oneself. If you need the gov…you’ll vote for the gov. At the expense of the working class. I believe in safety nets but not safety lives. Only those who are contributing to society and not living off it should be allowed to vote. I’ve been on both side’s and any one who say’s they will do whats good when there hurting is a liar and a thief.

That would, with one fell swoop, eliminate all this dependent society crap. You’re on the public dole? You aren’t going to vote to keep the Democraps in power so you can continue to be a slug. End of the Democraps. See how easy it is?

Stay calm! What I am suggesting would not necessarily impact the unemployed, unless they stay on the dole too long. I’d even be willing to allow a 1 year grace period, so long as there was a record of paying IN in the previous year, maybe 2.

Posted on October 28, 2012 at 11:26amMost of the posts in this thread are a confirmation of what I’ve said for years. Republicans/conservatives are just as willing to take a dump on the Constitution when it doesn’t suit them as are the Democrats/liberals.
The way to solve the “having skin in the game” problem is to eliminate the myriad government programs/agencies/bureaus that ****** the private enterprise system from creating jobs and to eliminate the dole for all but the most disadvantaged among us.
The solution does not lie in dis-inclusion. The solution lies in productive inclusion. Relative analysis that does not include our Constitutional foundations is little more than mental masturbation. It feels good but it’s unlikely to result in anything productive. Peace.

Posted on October 28, 2012 at 11:52amOne of the founding fathers said that the Republic would only last until the people realize that they are able to vote themselves largesse from the public coffers. They have been doing exactly that for the last 50 years. The result is that the country is rapidly approaching the tipping point wherein the hosts are experiencing a lower standard of living than the parasites that are feeding off of them. How hard is it to simply stop being part of the solution and become part of the problem when you see people living on welfare, food stamps and subsidized housing having a higher standard of living than you do despite the fact that you’re working over time? All of which is paid for with the tax dollars taken from your check thereby making it harder for you to get ahead.

Posted on October 28, 2012 at 11:55amAn ironic side note. The word that was starred out by an editor, or an auto-editor in my previous post is R-E-T-A-R-D, meaning “to cause to function at a less than optimal level”.
The irony, in my mind, is that just the other day there was a Blaze article where the same word was in the headline and in the context was clearly used in a different and pejorative manner.
I’m wondering if I should be suspicious that this site is being run or monitored by the Government. You know; do as I say, not as I do. :-) Peace.

Posted on October 28, 2012 at 7:00pmAbsolutely correct…..if you are a welfare recipient….completely reliant on others tax remittances upon which whacky Uncle Sam has then decided should feed you and clothe you or shelter you…and let me digress for a second here….and make my point crystal clear: If you are a person who swipes a Food Stamp Card through a card reader at the grocery store ….while at the same time are sporting a nice new set of fake fancy fingernails…then YOU TOO are included this…..because apparently you can’t feed yourself but you can buy fancy nails and fake weaves and **** pieces…..but if you are on ANY form of public assistance at all….then you should only be able to cast a vote that represents your fractional ability to provide for yourself. Of course the typical progressive will immediately bring out and invoke the 4\5ths prior constitutional error or some other totally unrelated notion to my premise here. Those who as mentioned..have a whole horse in the race get a vote….those that do not have a whole horse…get a portion of a vote….we will quickly see then how the Democrats have managed to polarize and divide the electorate in this nation. What reason would an entire ghetto or barrio have for voting for anyone who might interrupt their meager but free nonetheless lifestyle and living conditions?….I have seen way to many Lincoln Navigators parked in ghettos to not know just exactly what is going on….and it is one silly Democrat inch short of thievery.

Posted on October 30, 2012 at 11:20amI’m so sick of all of you.You claim to believe in the constitution.Obviously you don’t.So what else is new.Liberal elitists hidng behind the conservative mantra.Tell me did you take your training from the muslims or the socialists?
531 TAX PLAN.All will have skin in the game.Your argument is then totally lost.Whatever will you do to massage your overblown egos then?
There are plenty of welfare fraudsters out there. Most of those either don’t vote or couldn’t care less. The only people you will hurt are those who have experienced some sort of crisis and need emergency help. They are the same ones who leave the welfare rolls as soon as they can.You don’t like the entitlement society.Join the crowd.I’m even more sick of them than most of you are.I’m simply not willing to trash the constitution that our forefathers fought and died for simply because I don’t like the later day laws.Remove the entitlements not the right to vote.
