Biden Says Republicans Counting on Voter ‘Amnesia’…Then Gets Senate Candidate’s Name Wrong…Twice

Democrats have been pushing the word “Romnesia” with increasing frequency on the campaign trail as Election Day draws closer. A combination of the words “Romney” and “amnesia,” the term is designed to imply that Mitt Romney has a selective memory about the positions he’s taken throughout the years.

Speaking at a campaign event in Virginia, Vice President Joe Biden said Republican challengers Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan are fleeing from their record to appear more moderate than they truly are. In his estimation, Republicans “are counting on the American people to have an overwhelming case of amnesia” when it comes time to cast their vote.

While everyone understands that public figures meet and greet countless people each day, in the same speech Biden appeared to suffer a minor memory lapse himself. Introducing Senate candidate and former Virginia governor Tim Kaine, Biden remarked:

“It’s good to be in a state that’s going to be represented by Tim Kain. What a guy! What a decent, honorable man. That man has more integrity in his little finger than most people have in their entire body. I’m a big Tom Kain fan, a big Tom Kain fan.” [Emphasis added]

Not long after, spokesmen for the Romney and Obama campaigns released statements.

“Vice President Biden forgot the name of his own Virginia Democratic Senate nominee and he wants voters to forget about President Obama’s failed economic policies and lack of a real agenda for a second term,” Ryan Williams, a spokesman for Romney, said in a statement.

Obama campaign spokeswoman Lis Smith countered: “Once again, Mitt Romney’s campaign is showing their focus on the big things — like one letter in Tim Kaine’s name. If they put as much time and effort into their policies, maybe we’d finally have an answer for how they’d pay for $5 trillion in tax cuts weighted to the very wealthy.”

  Now the word around the street is that the terrorist that attacked the Benghazi embassy were using weapons that WE were providing to the terrorist. (wow, that sounds like fast & furious on steroids) Now as if nothing else about this story makes any sense, now this. What’s this guy Obama up to, the only thing that makes any sense is arming the terrorist to attack Israel? Like we did with Bin laden to attack Russia?   A denial from the White House .. well I am shocked .. how about the videos and the paper trail — did they release those? NO We know that the intel was being sent to the situation room of the White House in real time from cameras on the ground and at least one drone in the air (what was it doing over the Consolate?) ..   PROGRESSIVEPETREGRAD, LOL, WETSU! So, when the White House CYA team rolls out their own BS, you just eat it up swallowing it whole. As for the CIA statement, I personally have no doubt that it is true to the letter. Go back and read it again. Nobody from the CIA told anybody to stand down. That order had to have come from the White House Situation Room, or possibly from a similar room at the Pentagon where Panetta may have been watching. But, more than likely considering the length of the fire fight, they were eventually all at the WH Situation Room. As far as sending aircraft and more special operators from Sigonella, Italy that order would have had to come from the President. It obviously did not. You also conveniently forgot those emails that had been released through a whistle blower. Much of this info actually did come through CBS News too. Fox and a few others who will report it picked up on this later. When you are viewing all of those other stations that you recommend, you may want to open both your eyes and ears so as to gather more than the bullsh/t you attempt to spew here. I pay attention to a number of these stations myself. Note to a fool, I did say that I PAY ATTENTION…..

  Morning Pete – I had been watching Candy at State of the Union but then she had her debut at the 2nd debate and showed her original leanings. I thought that she was opening up and really trying to ask some more in depth questions when she had different guests on but that debate sealed it. Really, it is time for the undecided voters to take note of this imbecile. Even if they think Obama migh be their choice, Biden is one heartbeat away from being the President of the United States of America. One splli second, and this idiot that 1. cannot remeber where he is, 2. cannot remember who he is talking about, and 3. seems to work himself into a smarky laughing dumbass in times of pressure. Is Biden really qualified to work as a fast food drive through attendant. His resume may say he is, but it appears to the naked eye that he would have trouble remembering to add cheese to a cheese burger. Then he would berate the customer for pointing out he incorrectly took the order.

Any sensible undecided voter would hopefully realilze that this man (Biden) should not be within an inch of the office of President of the United States.

I’d find it ridiculous if the man could qualify for a drivers license.

why cant liberals understand the way to pay for tax cuts is to reduce federal spending? if the government spends less money,then the less they need to tax the population. Democrats just want to continue to increase spending but they have no difinitive plans of what they will use that spending for to fix the economy thats different than what they did the last four years that didnt work.

Joe Biden has been an outstanding Vice President. He along with Bill Clinton restored enthusiasm for Obama’s 2012 election prospects. Biden exposed Paul Ryan as a novice in the Vice Presidential Debate.

I admit, Romney had a fair chance of winning until Senate candidate Murdoch made those comments about rape. Romney is very likely to lose majority of the female voters because of his support of Murdoch. That along with the fact that Colin Powell endorsed Obama once again.

Romney claims he knows how to create jobs but all the famous job creators such as Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, Mark Cuban, Warren Buffet and Snoop Dogg have endorsed Obama. In conclusion, Obama has been endorsed by both economic experts and foreign policy experts, therefore he has the right approach on dealing with these issues

  I am not here to convince you all to become progressives. One of my purposes for being here is to simply point out why the GOP is in danger of losing this presidential election along with the senate elections. The GOP should accept defeat graciously in this election cycle and choose more pro choice candidates for the 2016 elections.
  
  People like Todd Akin and Murdoch are hurting the credibility of the GOP and conservatives. Senator Scott Brown made a statement the other day that there need to be more moderates in congress. I am not a fan of Scott Brown but I strongly agree with his statement.
  
  Democrats, including myself have under estimated Romney as a presidential candidate. However, one factor which may contribute to Romney’s downfall in this election will be his support for senate candidate Murdoch. This will very likely lose the popularity he gained among female voters
