Retired Lt. Col.: My Sources Say Obama Was in the Room Watching Benghazi Attack Happen

Retired Army Lt. Col. Tony Shaffer said Saturday he has sources saying President Barack Obama was in the room at the White House watching the assault on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya unfold.

Two unarmed U.S. drones were dispatched to the consulate and recorded the final hours of the attack, which killed U.S. Ambassador to Libya Christopher Stevens and three other Americans.

“This was in the middle of the business day in Washington, so everybody at the White House, CIA, Pentagon, everybody was watching this go down,” Shaffer said on Fox News’ “Justice with Judge Jeanine.” “According to my sources, yes, [Obama] was one of those in the White House Situation Room in real-time watching this.”

Shaffer served as a senior operations officer for the Defense Intelligence Agency in Afghanistan in 2003 and wrote a book critical of the policies there. The U.S. government purchased the entire print run for $47,000 in an attempt at censorship just before its 2010 publication, claiming it contained classified material.

Shaffer said the question now is what precisely Obama did or didn’t do in the moments he saw the attack unfolding. The CIA reportedly made three urgent requests for military backup that were each denied.

“He, only he, could issue a directive to Secretary of Defense Panetta to do something. That’s the only place it could be done,” Shaffer said.

Defense Secretary Leon Panetta said last week the military did not intervene because they did not have enough information about what was happening on the ground.

Col. David Hunt, a Fox News military analyst, said the military could have had jets in the air within 20 minutes and forces on the ground within two hours.

“The issue is always political with the White House, but the secretary of defense gives the order, has to be approved by the White House, they wouldn’t pull the trigger, and it’s disgraceful,” Hunt said. “We’ve got guys dead.”

Obama knew about the attack BEFORE it happened. That’s why he had his meeting to watch the excitement with Panetta and Biden planned for 5pm EST that day (about the time of the attacks in Libya). The plan was for the attackers to make off with the MANPADs and get them to the Syrian rebels. Things went awry, people died and the cover up ensued.

Obama was watching it and wondering how it was going to end. He is a passive observer and probably was hoping that somebody with big boy pants would do something to help him out so he would not have to be responsible for making a decision…he has a long history of confusing hollywood with reality. He thought the presidency was simply the “West Wing.” He likes the perks and the Air Force One rides, etc but finds the real work, well, just too bothersome.

  You hit the nail on the head. He wants to BE President as long as it doesn’t involve actually BEING President. He makes no decisions so that he can take no blame. This is probably Bush’s fault. If Bush was still in the White House, these men would still be alive.

This is what happen when you elected a candidate that has not been vetted. Conservatives, common sense, extremists right wing nuts were asking questions: who is Barry Soetoro? Where was congress?
House of representives? FBI? CIA? Biggest fraud in American history and the MAIN STREAM MEDIA is silent. Keep Gitmo open we will need extra space for those who committed treason . Shame on you .

And, the ramifications are worse that those that followed Mogadishu, the Cole, the embassy bombings in Tanzania and Kenya! Of course he was, he has said he gave three orders. He said 1. send more security, 2. gets the facts 3. find out who is responsible all while the consulate was BEING attack. Why didn’t he send the AC-130. Instead he said he sends in the lawyers.

When you vote Democrat I’m not sure integrity, honor, and truth really matter anyway. It probably wouldn’t sway a left leaning Democrat if it was their own mother the President watched burn in the consulate for a few hours. They are right in one aspect. It takes one hell of a guy to watch 4 people burn while crying out for help three times. President Obama’s response to the military……..STAND DOWN!!!!

Obama will be impeached! Better for the country to elect Romney/Ryan then impeach during the lame duck period! Impeachment would occupy the traitor and act sorta like an “ankle bracelet” to monitor him and prevent further treason before Romney is inaugurated. Under any scenario this fraud must be revealed and held accountable for all of his criminality! Democrats and Media need to be held accountable for foisting this fraud on the American people!

Obama keeps saying he’s going to get the guys who did this. But there they were, right on the screen, right before his eyes, right as it was happening–and he did NOTHING. Nothing except blame someone who made a short trailer for an obscure film no one saw. Now the terrorists are back on the loose, somewhere out there, undoubtedly plotting another massacre, and laughing at Obama’s threats to “investigate” after the fact. What about prevention, intervention, stopping the assault in its tracks? Some Commander-in-Chief we have here! More like Snake-in-Chief! What is Obama up to now?

None of this makes sense.
Why our ambassador was in Bengazi, why he wasn’t guarded, why calls for protection went unanswered, why help wasn’t given after the first shots….

But it could make sense.
Maybe because this was a staged event that went wrong.

It makes perfect sense if you assume a different story line.
The ambassador was in Bengazi to oversee the transfer of US arms to rebels in Syria via Turkey
He was a friend and ally to the Feb17th brigade and Al Qaeda because he had been supplying them with arms and meeting with them
He was at much at home in Bengazi as a local
The event was staged as a kidnapping to facilitate an exchange of custody with the Blind Shiek Rahman
The two Navy Seals heard shots and calls for help a mile away and were told to stand down
The two Navy Seals ignored stand down orders and went to help and put up a fight
No one in the White House, Pentagon, CIA or State Dept would authorize a support or rescue mission for 7 hours – they watched
The Navy Seals were killed by Mortar fire and were targeted. Stevens was killed by smoke inhalation – possibly waiting to be kidnapped away from the fire fight with Seals?

No one visited the site to investigate for weeks except news reporters.

The storyline about the YouTube video was a distraction and was probably scripted for reaction to the other staged events.

What is being covered up could be Treason.

  Standtuff: That is exactly what happened. Obama is sinking in the polls so he and his muslim friends set the Ambassador up for kidnapping and than Obama would come to the rescue… and stand on the American media pulpit as a hero… boost his ratings and possibly even win re-election.
  
  Right now, Washington (including the Pentagon) is in hiding until they come up with a major cover-up story to protect themselves from one of the worst cases of treason since Benedict Arnold in the American Revolutionary War.

And his adoring supporters cheer. Unbelievable. Frogs enjoying the warmth while waiting for the water to boil.

My question is: How did they know about the CIA’s secret location? CIA agents made it back to safety but one hour later their building under attacked. CIA agents called for help once the returned to their location. So, one insider the WH must have given their location and wanted to make sure no one come out standing.

  Not necessarily, after rescuing the survivors ( of which Stevens could not be located) at the consulate these heroes could have been followed back to the CIA field office. A second attack could have been mounted to kill those survivors, preventing them from ever tell their stories. Remember the 2 CIA agents defied orders to stand down and intervened. They were wild cards in this event.

I remember when president Reagan came into office when the Iranians held the hostages,the Ayatollah Khomeini made it his business to release the hostages within hours of Reagan taking the oath of office because they knew what was coming. Compare how our enemy reacted then to what’s going on today and it’s night and day. Today we have a fraud POS in the oval office arming our enemy and allowing Americans to be slaughtered,he’s a fraud and a disgrace to the office and should resign immediately.

That won’t happen so he should be impeached and a trial in the senate Harry Reid be dammed.

I have been racking my brain to understand who could leave our people out there amongst wolves with no protection and I keep coming back to the same conclusion.   The Quislings live among us – at the highest levels, politically and militarily. Ambassador Stevens was a sacrificial lamb, along with his heroic comrades on 9/11. For two reasons: 1. The administration could not admit that the “Arab spring” was a total failure and that Libya was not now a “Democracy.” 2. This “Incident” would give media cover to the administration’s economic failures in our country. They did everything in their power – along with the toadies in the state run media – to muddy the waters with lies. Can blaming George W. Bush be far behind?

  Yes, and after seeing the SEAL:S on the roofed fighting for their lives he refused to send them help.
  
  Afterwards he rushed out to Las Vegas for a campain rally.
  
  Keep in mind also that although he admitted to being unaware of the situation regarding the trash-talking ghetto professor at Harvard who was guilty of disorderly conduct, he wasted no time in defending him, yet he stood by and let American fighting men go down fighting an overwhelming force.
  
  Obviously, he is in lock-step with Holder in regarding the defense of “his people” above and before all other things.
