Fox Reporter Gets Stuck in Sand During Live Hurricane Report

Live TV can offer so many viral gems, especially during wretched weather. Enter Fox News and reporter Peter Doocy.

During a live report from the shores of Deleware, Doocy was explaining how the storm surge has invaded the shore. At one point, he stepped off the boardwalk and sank right into the sand, declaring he was “stuck” (the incident occurs around the 50-second mark):

But was the viral TV moment just too perfect? Consider that before Doocy even steps off the boardwalk there is what looks like a hole behind him right where he eventually sinks in:

Additionally, Doocy’s reaction does come across a little canned. So that raises the question: Was the viral TV weather moment planned or spontaneous? Is it that he fell in earlier and wanted to recreate the moment? Does it matter?

Who Cares, lots more important things to be concerned about. I saw it live and thought it was spontaneous but again, what difference does it make. The NE is going to get their own Katrina, so thats not a good thing.

  Katrina was a Cat 5. It destroyed Southern Mississippi, South West Alabama, and caused a water surge in New Orleans. That was a strom of the century.

Just once I would like to see a severed head or a straw imbed in to a reporter’s skull. It’s Halloween after all. It would also be nice to place a reporter in the midst of the riots and looting after the storm leaves millions with no food and dirty water. I am sure they will arrest every shop owner using a gun to protect their private property. In New York City, no sugary drinks will be allowed for consumption. Hey, maybe even zombies will start roaming the streets. The human cry will echo throughout the world…and it will all be….wait for it…….BUSH’s FAULT.

  I don’t know what that is! Not sure if it’s a body. I would hope the “reporter” would have seen it, but since he didn’t see the hole in the ground I wouldn’t be surprised if he missed a body washing up.

  One of the things about TV weather news, is the need to put these reporters out in the weather regardless of how dangerous.. WTF?
  
  Putting their lives at risk with blowing debris, getting wet, freezing, snowed on etc. is the dumb and dumber way they all think shows the bad weather. I don’t need to see someone get hurt.
  It pizzes me off so much, I refuse to watch. Realty isn’t necessary to give the weather. Show the
  image through a window or under a protected porch, etc, not out in the brunt of it for goodness sake.

  I think the Doocy’s are very good at being on air talent for Fox!
  I, for one, enjoy seeing the pride on Steve’s face when he sees Peter, doing a great job.
  Obviously, Mr. and Mrs. Doocy took their job as parents very seriously, and raised a good son.
  And Peter works hard too.

  I agree BETHSIOUX: I enjoy the Doocy’s and the father & son have much to offer FOX news. Lord knows, I never watch the likes of most of the MSM types. Most of them have been bought & sold for a few pieces of coins, they have NO soul. Why bother with people like them?

I love when reporters (who are the biggest effeminate metrosexuals in society) stand outside in a hurricane and dare to tell you that it’s too dangerous for you to be there.

It’s like Richard Simmons telling the the gym he works out at is too hard core for you.

Given the shape of the hole, I think it is a ‘permanent’ hole built using concrete. A post would go there to keep vehicles off the pathway to the beach. I don’t think he deliberately fell into it, but saying he was stuck was stupid.

  In the middle of a beach access gateway? Nope. The fences are there to keep people off of the Sea Grass. The grass is there to help against erosion but beach communities make beach access. That there is a beach access. I still vote Staged.

I think he stepped off of the deck accidentally and fell, then didn’t want to look foolish, so went with the sand got me ordeal.
