Anti-Obama Benghazi Meme Gets Censored for ‘Violating Facebook’s Statement of Rights and Responsibilities’

Facebook reportedly took down an image, or a meme, posted by the Special Operations Speaks PAC (SOS) that was critical of President Barack Obama’s handling of the terrorist attack on the U.S. compound in Benghazi. You may have actually seen it before it was taken down — it had earned roughly 24,000 “likes.”

The meme, which can be seen below, shows both Obama and deceased al-Qaeda chief Osama bin Laden with the following message: “Obama called the SEALs and THEY got bin Laden. When the SEALs called Obama, THEY GOT DENIED.”

It was first taken down and the account was issued a warning. The account was later suspended for 24 hours for defying the warning and re-posting the image — with the warning above it.

The message is based on reports that indicate CIA operatives in Benghazi were told to “stand down” rather than help after Americans on the ground in Libya attempted to call out for help. Reports also suggest that the White House situation room had access to a live feed of the chaos at the U.S. compound as well as real-time email updates from within State Department.

Breitbart.com’s Awr Hawkins reportedly spoke with Larry Ward, president of Political Media, Inc., the company responsible for the SOS Facebook account.

“We created and posted this meme on Saturday after news broke that Obama had known and denied SEALs the backup they requested,” Ward told Breitbart.com.

He continued: “Once the meme was up it garnered 30,000 shares, approx. 24,000 likes, and was read by hundreds of thousands of people — all within 24 hrs. On Sunday, I went into the SOS Facebook page to post something else and found a warning from Facebook that we had violated Facebook’s Statement of Rights and Responsibilities with our meme. So I copied the warning, put it on the meme as as caption, and re-posted the meme to the Facebook page.”

The re-posted meme was removed within 8 hours before Facebook suspended the SOS PAC’s account for 24 hours.

Is this a violation of free speech or did SOS violate Facebook policy?

Benghazi is all about obama helping them gain control of Syria We know that the Muslim Brotherhood are sponsors of terrorist groups like Hamas. The Muslim Brotherhood hired al qaeda to fight with the rebels in Syria. Obama has committed the worst kind of treason by running guns to the very terrorists that we have been hunting and killing for 11 years! Obama is one them or else he would not be helping them. The enemy is in the White House and he is working to spread Islam. In California and New York schools, they are trying to make an Arabic language class mandatory now. Mosques are double what they used to be and many are being used for terrorist cells. How much more will the American people allow in the name of “freedom of religion”?   I find it very important before this election to remind us of the famous words of a great American. It seems as if our country is being divided. The last time we were this separated was just prior to the Civil War. A war that would pit brother against brother and claim so many lives, win freedom for many and set in motion the powerful civil rights movement of the 60′s and 70′s which would be the precious setting for the brilliant and moving words of great men like Martin Luther King and Robert Kennedy. Words that would inspire and unite. Words that would empower and enlighten. I was thinking about the Gettysburg address today and how timeless and appropriate the words of our 16th President are still today. We have lost many men and women in the fight for liberty and Democracy and a lot of precious blood has been shed in building and retaining our Republic. Most recently we have lost four of our brothers in an attack on American soil at our Libyan
  embassy in Bengazi. Please read the words of President Lincoln delivered at Gettysburg and think about how they are just as true today as the were back then: see post below

  Just called ABC, and after multiple confusing “prompts” found out they have a “special Benghazi” prompt which a) refers people to their website (hit the “benghazi” button on their home page) and b) leave a 30 second message…which we ALL know is NOT enough time to vent. But what it DOES tell me is that we are getting to them…When they have to go out of their way to corral us, we are overwhelming them with our phone calls….
  
  I went to their website, put in “benghazi” and got TWO, count them, TWO measley ABC news responses that are WEEKS old….DISGUSTING….Call their number again and complain! And send an email: http://abc.go.com/site/contact-us

Facebook will be irrelevant within a short matter of time.
Every week there are stories of new security breaches and of course the obvious
political slant ——-
If you take the side of the Kenyan Boy-King over our troops who DIED in service then
you may as well pack it in.

  I agree with this. I think there will be a “NEW BIGGEST THING” coming down the pike…more like TWITTER but even more…I can’t think of it, but someone will and then FACEBOOK will be as ‘necessary’ as what was before it…see? I’ve already forgotten… Like Facebook but before face book….
  
  oh well…how soon we forget!! They are insane to try to stifle any speech whatsoever (except those dealing with minors; with porn; and threats etc. MAKING a STATEMENT about how GUTLESS you think Obama is for his lack of actions in BENGHAZI? HEY…that’s almost a universal thought now.

Facebook can do what they wish…, it is their site. It certainly is not a free speech issue, after all, it is posted *here*.
My feeling is that Facebook (and Twitter, and Google, come to think of it) are becoming too significant in many peoples lives.

I call bull..I shared this on my own page and liked it on Sunday..It is still on my page with many likes and shares. Must have been something else such as the comments with the photo that violated terms.

Violation of free speech. Facebook needs to go away and the way to do that is for someone with the backing and the know how to create something that is not going to be corrupted by Soros and the likes in which it will be used to limit free speech.

  Facebook has been one the best ways I had found to get info accross and sent out widely through a group of like minded folks. I am pretty angry about all of this too. Seems we know where we stand with this so called Social Network huh??? It only works when it agrees with what you have to say! Don;t worry Facebook. When it goes to court and we all find Obama Guilty of TREASON.. then what??? Rotten SOBS!
