‘Citizens United’ Releases Ad Featuring Disillusioned Obama-Voters in Key Swing States

(Photo: Citizens United/YouTube)
Citizens United is set to air 30-second TV ads in Wisconsin and New Hampshire featuring a number of disillusioned former Obama voters, all reportedly Democrats and independents, explaining why they couldn’t fathom voting for Obama a second time.
Running on CNN and MSNBC, the ad may speak to people in a similar position. More than that, however, it promotes a longer film called “The Hope and Change,” which can be seen on DVD and– more important for younger voters– the online streaming company Hulu.
The documentary has been out for several months, but has somewhat been limited to conservative audiences. Directed by Stephen K. Bannon and produced by Citizens United, the hope is that the new advertisements prompt people to watch what Sean Hannity called “the most powerful documentary” he has ever seen.
Here is the 30-second ad:
The transcript reads:
I voted for Obama.
My entire life, I’ve voted Democrat.
I’m a registered Independent.
I needed some kind of hope.
We voted for Barack Obama.
People were desperate.
I don’t think that I got what I was expecting.
What was he doing in office for the last three years?
I wanna see him behind the desk.
He didn’t make good on any of his promises.
The party’s over, the smoke has cleared.
Can we go through another four years of this?
And here is the trailer for “The Hope and Change” (it is similar to the 30-second ad, but a little more comprehensive):
According to its website, “The Hope and Change” follows 40 Americans who voted for Obama throughout their daily lives, including “unscripted and unrehearsed” interviews detailing why they’ve changed positions.

Posted on October 30, 2012 at 11:49pmKeynesian is a terrible economic structure. Keynes was a fool for what he developed, and Hayek who knew the fool also knew he would’ve changed his failed viewpoint later on in life.
Austrian economics is the way that succeeds, we have tried Keynesian economics throughout the mid 1900′s till now and that is what got us into the financial mess we’re in. So congrats, you helped contribute to that.
If you voted Keynesian I guess you voted for Bush, Clinton, Bush Jr, Gore, Kerry, McCain, and Obama cause they are all Keynesian’s. Talk about voter fraud, you must be the prime example.

Posted on October 31, 2012 at 3:55amThank God that these people who voted for O-blame-a have not taken the bait and blamed the Tea Party Republicans in Congress. They have restored my faith in humanity just now. Of course, when The Media blames the wave election in 2010 for gridlock, they are stupid enough to not know that “We The People” SENT them there exactly FOR the purpose of stopping the out-of-control abuses of government that was going on in the Democrat-controlled House and Senate. DUH! Media! That’s why we SENT them there! Stupid lame media.

We probably have 30% of americans who are die hard conservatives who will vote republican even if the guy is shown to be a liar (McCain), a fiscal liberal (Bush), or admits to having an affair with an underage girl and then chasing her down to some subtropical region to marry her.
“Lesser of two evils,” they will say. Vot for the crook you know, instead of the other guy who is of another party.

Prior to the 2008 election, I told my sister-in-law that everyone knew (apparently not everyone) oblama wanted to be king. What I didn’t understand is why he would want to rule over a third world country. It has been worse than I expected. Fortunately, his confident facade, but underlying moral ineptitude will deny him a second term. I fear for those not learning from the last four years.

I’ll go with Bain, and so should any Patriotic American. Only a pitiful anti-American communist would choose a loss of Millions of jobs over a Tax paying Corporation that sustains 60,000 tax paying jobs,

Bush may have founded the free phone deal, but he isn’t running for office agaist Barry, Mitt is. Also the left wants to paint Bush and his admin. as the one’s who concocted Fast and Furious, which he did not. You say he started the phone give away. If it’s like anything else Barry has done, he’s basterdized the orginal Bush program and turned it into a monster. Even if Barry is just continuing on with Bush’s orginial program, Bush made some huge mistakes. The phone deal might be one of them.
You won’t find conservatives taking up with any cheezy giveaway programs and letting some well intentioned but stupid conservative get away with it. Liberals, think Barry is beyond wonderful, even though he’s doing things a million times worse than George was angrily accused of by libs. It’s ok for libs to do certain things, but when conservatives do it’s not acceptable by both liberals and conservatives. You have patriots on one side and party loyalists (libs) on the other, many being easily bought off with worthless trinkets, like a junky cell phone while Barry and his boys are tapping into billions of taxpayer and lobbyist dollars not to mention tapping into vast resevours of power.
