WASHINGTON – OCTOBER 29: U.S. President Barack Obama returns to the West Wing of the White House before the arrival of Hurricane Sandy October 29, 2012 in Washington, DC. Obama cancelled campign events today and returned to Washington before the storm. Credit: Getty Images
Obama Campaign manager Jim Messina sent a mass email Tuesday asking for ”prayers” for families affected by Sandy. The email notes that it can be ”gut-wrenching” to see the reports of what’s happening and then directs the reader to a Salvation Army donation page that includes Barrack Obama’s name:
After that, however, the email sneaks in a subtle reminder about the election, noting that the campaign wants to eventually get back to work ”on the most important campaign of our lifetime”:

Oct. 30, 2012 at 1:52pmThe Bible does make references to those who dwell carelessly in the coastal regions, but it is also spiritual in nature because there are those who spiritually dwell recklessly in the coasts and those who dwell in the highlands. As Jesus points out the west reflects the lightning in the east.

Oct. 30, 2012 at 1:29pmHeh heh… Obama wants you to give to the Red Cross… I personally would not use his link in this article to the Red Cross… i.e. my.barackobama.com/red-cross… it probably goes to his campaign expenses. If you are going to give which I think everyone should do, go to http://www.mercuryone.com or other reputable sites for Red Cross.

Oct. 30, 2012 at 1:28pmSadly, all of the death and destruction caused by Hurricane Sandy is the best thing to happen to the Obama campaign. It takes Benghazi completely out of the news and gives a reason for east coast news agencies (NYT, WaPo, etc) from bothering to investigate before the election. Also, the seriousness of the hurricane and subsequent outages, damages, and – most seriously – deaths, will practically prevent any campaigning from the Romney ticket.

Oct. 30, 2012 at 2:03pmI heard Glenn say something today about Obama’s reaction to the Libya embassy pleas for help.
Glenn said, When Obama asked the Seals to go out and kill Osama Bin laden, they answered his call and killed him. When the Seals called Obama for help, Obama left them to die.

Oct. 30, 2012 at 1:22pmIt’s funny how Obama is suddenly concerned about natural disasters. In 2011 Texas lost over 1,600 homes and almost four million acres to wildfires and Obama wouldn’t give us the time of day.

Oct. 30, 2012 at 1:15pmThe entire hurrican thing is a chance (albeit small chance) for him to garner undecided votes in NY. Kind of a waste if you ask me since NY is probably going to Obie anyway (huge dem base). He is also trying to look Presidential. I guess 2 or 3 days out of 4 years is all we can expect.

Romney is doing what is right .. working to collect things and take them where they are needed .. btw LDS church is also excellent in disaster relief.. often showing up before the Red Cross.

Oct. 30, 2012 at 1:07pmHum, several things come to mind:
First, don’t tell me Narcissus really walked under the rain with no protection. Ha!
Second, that was a good photo-op moment. Also that could’ve been a good photo-shopped image. Maybe he saw the photos of our men in uniform guarding under bad weather conditions and his campaign couldn’t waist the opportunity to “impress” unsuspecting adorers or uninformed independents.
Third, I would never donate to any cause where his name is involved.
