Obama Campaign manager Jim Messina sent a mass email Tuesday asking for ”prayers” for families affected by Sandy. The email notes that it can be ”gut-wrenching” to see the reports of what’s happening and then directs the reader to a Salvation Army donation page that includes Barrack Obama’s name:

After that, however, the email sneaks in a subtle reminder about the election, noting that the campaign wants to eventually get back to work ”on the most important campaign of our lifetime”:
