GOP Congressional Candidate May Have Released the Most Non-Political Political Ad Ever

One congressional candidate may have just released the most non-political political ad ever.
Richard Tisei, a Massachusetts Republicans fighting for a U.S. House district against incumbent Rep. John Tierney (D), has released a 30 second ad that features a single shot of a beach, the sounds of crashing waves and sea gulls in the background.
Other than Tisei’s campaign logo in the bottom left of the screen, the only message in the ad is “…because you need a break from all the campaign ads.” The video was apparently captured at Good Harbor Beach in Gloucester, Mass.
Per The Washington Post’s David Beard:
Particularly as this election season heads to the finish, “I figured the best way to break through the noise was to use silence, and to show a little humor, too,” Rob Willington, a Tisei campaign media adviser, said in an e-mail. “A lot of the voters are tired of the non-stop political ads.”
Another benefit: The commercial promotes a beach in the district.
If Tisei goes on to defeat Tierney, who has been plagued by scandals, he will become the first Republican to win a House seat in Massachusetts in 16 years

MassResistance.org, which for years has been waging a campaign on behalf of the American family and against the forces aligned to destroy it, has posted a voter’s guide for those Bay Staters committed to preserving conservative family values.
The guide covers Massachusetts Congressional, Senate, House and Governor’s Council candidates and Questions including legalizing Physician Assisted Suicide and Legalizing Medical Marijuana on the ballot in the most liberal state in the nation, a state in which even the GOP leadership favors abortion, same-sex marriage, and other leftist causes.
Compounding the dire situation in Massachusetts, the Republican National Congressional Committee is spending over a million dollars–more money than for all other congressional candidates in the state combined–”to elect an aggressive, anti-family homosexual activist:” Richard Tisei is an openly homosexual liberal who helped ”block the people’s right to vote on the Marriage Amendment” while serving as a state senator. . . Posted on November 1, 2012 at 12:55amOh, c’mon! Does anyone of normal sensibilities seriously think that the majority of people in Massachusetts have morals? The second after they toss John Kerry-Heinz and the Kennedys into Boston Harbor I’ll take it into consideration. Until then, I’ll continue to believe they all pretty much suck (on the government teat, at the very least).

The article on the commercial, we’re not getting bombarded by AD’s, but if we were, I’d enjoy the break with this commercial

Posted on October 31, 2012 at 5:52pmIts good, clever, but be honest it IS political, by virtue of who is promoting it. Still, in a world gone mad with ad bombings, it is a tad refreshing.
Romney is an ancillary winner of this ad as well. Brilliant.
