What Does Your Food Say About Your Politics? These Two Charts Might Surprise You

Have you ever wondered if certain brands attract certain political types? Thanks to Engage, a D.C.-based digital agency, and the folks at BuzzFeed, these two charts might have you covered:

BuzzFeed and Engage Presents the Politics of Food & Brand Choice

BuzzFeed and Engage Presents the Politics of Food & Brand ChoiceBut what are these charts based on?

“Using data from its Trendsetter app, which cross-references polling data with influence and page ‘likes’ from Facebook, Engage shows that politics is often determined by the cultural choices we make daily,” BuzzFeed’s Ruby Cramer explains.

Most of it seems pretty unsurprising (i.e. Chik-fil-a and Ben & Jerry’s)

“Whether you support Obama or Romney, that support is more often than not a manifestation of where you live, what you watch and where you fit in culturally,” Engage president Patrick Ruffini told BuzzFeed.

“This is where we think other attempts to ‘match’ you to candidates based on issue quizzes go wrong,” Ruffini added. “Voters don’t necessarily behave rationally. We think the subcultures you inhabit say an awful lot about your politics.”

And if you enjoyed the above charts, you’re in luck. Engage plans on releasing about a dozen more infographs based on the politics of social media.

“Americans have tended to associate more with like-minded people from across the country and the globe, and less with the person who lives right next door,” said Ruffini. “Nowhere is this tendency stronger than on Facebook.”

Every buisness in America is Democratic left or Republican right. Mcdonalds right Burger King left. AAple left Hewlet Packard right. Walmart right Target left. Coke right Pepsi left. Shop your political leaning and you can change America almost as much as your vote on election day

All of these brands and restaurants etc. are all owned by the same people. One company has the same mayonnaise under different names because of what part of the country you are in just because of the name that you grew up with, same stuff though. It is just like the article recently posted on the Blaze about how 40 different news companies are now owned by 6 now.

Just like the two political parties are both run by the Bildeburg group. They both lead to the same detruction, just Bammy will do it faster. So if you want more time before collapse, vote Romney.

I should tare up my birth certificate, sneak back in from Mexico and I can get free medical and food stamps and be able to eat at fancy restaurants. If I don’t, Obama will be on your arse! Haven’t you seen the commercial for Nutella where the kids refuse to eat their breakfast because it isn’t loaded with sugar? And then the mother is all sympathetic. Apparent trends: Conservatives eat healthier and by far support more businesses, especially the very wholesome ones, while liberals eat more junk food.

Not that surprising to me, but it may shock your average liberal who thinks theirs is the health-conscious philosophy. In reality it’s basically licentiousness, which includes gluttony, heh. Of course, there are exceptions to everything.
