Exclusive: Trump Lambastes Obama for Missing Deadline, Claims He Could Have Given Money to ‘Victims of Benghazi’ or Hurricane Sandy
After making a $5 million offer to President Barack Obama in exchange for his passport and college records last week (then extending his self-imposed deadline until today at noon) business mogul Donald Trump has taken to Twitter and YouTube to lambaste the president for a supposed lack of transparency. Following Obama’s failure to meet the due date, Trump spoke with TheBlaze in detail.
In an exclusive interview, he explained that the end date for the offer was extended from 5 p.m. on October 31 to this afternoon as a result of Hurricane Sandy. As for the response he’s received so far, Trump claims many Americans are confused and do not understand why Obama has refused, thus far, to release his records.
“People don’t know — people don’t understand why he wouldn’t do this,” Trump said of his offer to the president.
The businessman also reiterated that he would have gone above and beyond offering the $5 million — if Obama was willing to produce the stated documents (although he didn’t name a specific amount of money beyond that benchmark).

“If the wrong things are down in the application, he can’t be president,” Trump insisted in his Blaze interview. “There has to be something very wrong. I’m not surprised that he didn’t take it.”
As for critics who claim that Trump has acted in a racist manner in waging his attacks against Obama, the businessman flatly denied the charge.
“Any time you attack Obama, it’s a racist act,” he said, going on to say that there have been no racial elements associated with his questions about Obama’s records.
“If you attack him on the economy it’s a racist act,” he scoffed.
During today’s video announcement, Trump discussed similar themes. In addition to lambasting Obama, he noted the causes to which the president could have given the funds — to wounded warriors, the American Cancer Society or “the relatives of the victims of Benghazi.” Considering recent events, Trump called the latter option “an appropriate situation.”
“Very sadly for the country, for a charity — and for the president himself, President Obama has just missed the deadline and now a charity of his choice will not be receiving $5 million — or as I stated much more than $5 million,” Trump proclaimed in the clip.
During his Blaze interview and in an associated press release Trump also noted that Hurricane Sandy cleanup would have been another viable place for the $5 million to be allocated.
“He spent millions of dollars in legal fees to keep his records secret,” he continued in the video. ”Someday those papers will come out and people will say, you know what, Donald Trump was right.”

This natural disaster is having a devastating effect on tens of millions of individuals, and all Trump can do is complain about Obama’s college and passport records. If the welfare of these individuals is that important to you Donald, just donate the $5 million to charity without any strings attached. We all know he won’t do that though. I would think that all of the Beck fans could understand the tasteless nature of Trump’s actions; however, as I read through these comments I see that, as usual, you are all too willing to jump on the bandwagon. How about this for starters….how and why did Obama go to Pakistan in the 80′s when Americans were prohibited travel there? He obviously didn’t get there on his American passport. Shift over to the fact that both Barry and Mooch have had their licsence to practice law stripped away. Why? Obviously some sort of dishonesty beyond the pale of an attorney.
And to take it a step further…why won’t Barry sue Larry Sinclair for slander? That’s because devastating facts would come out in court.

Privacy: No he claims he told US the facts, published book and he employed by US and most employers have right to know; modesty Ha no; then why he spend millions in legal fees and refuse giving $5M to wounded vet etc? What this does show is the problems and inadequacies of Our candidates registration and qualifying system. What more disturbing is that once in office even if fraud, wrongful put on state ballet for lack of enough or proper signatures etc there seems no real way to get fact or if shown to remove a cheater, since even a minority group party can block impeachment for anything, because of self centered partisan politics, so our system loss its balance check.

Obama made the right call to not release his info – giving Trump the opportunity for more self-promotion is beneath the Office of the Presidency.
Also, making the case that Pres. Obama must be lying just because he doesn’t release his info, when all the while neither Romney nor any other President have ever released theirs really calls into the credibility of Trump’s offer, and the credibility of anyone who demands Pres. Obama show his, while Romney and others got a free ride.

Until that point he is asking Obama to pass a test no other president was required to pass. You are an ignorant fool. Mitt Romney did use offshore and Swiss accounts just as nearly every very wealthy person INCLUDING wealthy liberals use. Those offshore accounts are used because they are legal loopholes that are built in to the current horribly complex tax code. Those of us who are not super wealthy cannot afford the legal and accounting work that is used to fund these accounts. Mitt wants to simplify the tax code by lowering the tax rates for all of us and ELIMINATE these types of loopholes and deductions. Simplifying the tax code will be one of the best things that he could do to stimulate the economy and strengthen this country. Lower rate x less deductions = leveling the playing field. if you were super wealthy, you would use financial advisors that would have sent your money to offshore accounts also. That has been what everyone who makes millions a year does. Even liberal idiots like you don’t want to pay any more taxes than you are required to by law. Until the code is simplified, there will be rich people using dubious deductions that we regular people can’t use.

@Chick: Romney hasn’t said exactly what loopholes and deductions he would eliminate. He has suggested doing away with the capital-gains tax (which would lower his tax liability to approximately zero). The discussion of Romney’s tax policy has him getting rid of the child deductions, the earned income tax credit, and the home mortgage interest deduction. ALL of which tend to favor the middle class and the poor. My guess is that whatever allows the rich to keep more of their money he will do.

5 million is a pittance compared to the total worth of Trump Industries. If this was Trump’s attempt at playing on Obama’s principles, it failed badly.

Not even the Obamessiah’s master, Lord High Splitfoot, could cajole him into releasing those records, and even if they were released the Media would sit on them until well after the election, and then give them backpage coverage.

I’m in agreement with you on that opinion regarding charitable organizations. My point was that Trump did this rhetorically and most of us understood this. Trump totally understands that Obama would never release those records. I’m saying Trump should have greatly increased the amount in order to get Americans to FORCE Obama to at least address the challenge Trump laid out.
In other words, Trump’s bluff wasn’t worth calling for Obama. 5 million didn’t even make Obama look like [Obama] is out of touch by not addressing it.
This was a Trump fail.
