Report: U.S. Staff Reported Libyan Policeman Photographing Consulate on Morning Before Benghazi Attack, Security Breach

Alaan TV Says US Staff Reported Security Breach Libyan Policeman Photographing the Consulate on Morning Before Attack

Letters Alaan TV obtained revealing deep concern of US staff over lax consulate security

Adding to the security concerns that were building up to the bloody attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya on September 11, an Arabic television station revealed new information on the lax security there, including a major breach took place at the consulate early in the morning of the fateful day.

Alaan TV based in the United Arab Emirates on Wednesday reported that in letters it obtained that were found inside the consulate – written by American staffers serving there and addressed to the Libyan Foreign Ministry and Benghazi police chief – security breaches were reported.

The Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI), which translated the report, writes:

According to the letters, not only had a Libyan policeman photographed the compound 15 hours prior to the attack, but the Libyan government had not provided the security at the consulate requested by the consular staff prior to Ambassador Chris Stevens’ arrival in Benghazi. According to the report, the letter stated, “We are saddened to report that we have only received an occasional police presence at our main gate. Many hours pass when we have no police support at all.”

Consulate staff reportedly wrote: “…One of our diligent guards made a troubling report”

Alaan TV reports the letters were found in the “Tactical Operations Center building” of the consulate. From its television report:

“In the letters, the Americans complained about an incident that occurred on the morning of September 11, an incident they described as ‘troubling.’ The letters read as follows: ‘Early this morning, on September 11, 2011 [sic], at precisely 06:43, one of our diligent guards made a troubling report. Near our main gate, a member of the police force was seen in the upper level of a building across from our compound. It is reported that this person, who belongs to the police unit sent to protect the U.S. Special Mission, was photographing the inside of the U.S. consulate.’

“One of these letters contains important information about the police car that was present at the scene: ‘The police car stationed where this event occurred was number 322.’”

“As is well known, there is no professional police force in Libya, and therefore, the police and armed groups often work together. Thus, it seems clear, from the tone of the letter, that the Americans were extremely concerned about this incident, describing it as ‘troubling.’

“According to the letter, they were hoping that the Libyan authorities would conduct an official investigation into this incident.”

Alaan TV also reports that the security arrangements U.S. staff requested “were not granted”:

“The letters revealed that since September 9, the Americans had been requesting special security arrangements, in preparation for the arrival of Ambassador Chris Stephens to Benghazi. These arrangements included the police guarding the front and rear gates of the consulate around the clock, in addition to a mobile patrol and a bomb-sniffing dog.

“The Americans, however, were not granted these requests, as was made clear from the letter, dated September 11, just hours before the attack. ‘We are saddened to report that we have only received an occasional police presence at our main gate. Many hours pass when we have no police support at all.’”

Fifteen hours after the policeman was seen photographing the building, the attack on the consulate began.

The almost identical letters were addressed to Libya’s Foreign Ministry and the Benghazi police chief, according to Alaan.

There are so many questions that need to be answered and i hope and pray we keep there feet to the fire. Look we haven’t even got answers for fast and furious. So i wouldn’t put our hopes in if Obama gets re-elected again that we will ever find out the truth here. If any of you have seen “The Project” then you know that this government (i.e administration) can make files unable to reach and classified. We can’t even get made public the manual the radical Islamist had and our government has been asking for it for years now. So i can be pretty sure there will be some executive order if Obama is our President that the truth won’t get out. All the more reason for us to vote and completely wipe the tables this election. And whatever we find out is only going to be made public by us finding out. When Romney gets elected he will bring to light all these twisted gun running programs that are killing our Americans. I am sure they think this is a work environmental death.

Obama and his team has gotten for more then the one boarder patrol agent and these 4 american’s killed with his soft and apologizing tour and security plans. They will keep killing our soldiers knowing that obama is covering for them and saying it is work related. I can keep going on and on. Why were we there to begin with cause other then Glenn Beck no one else is asking that question. No one is saying that we are running guns. And now those same guns are in Syria to kill more american’s that we now put in

  Here’s how it looks so far.
  
  Obama, through this embassy and maybe others in Libya, funded or otherwise aided violent groups (nevermind for this summary their names) to help overthrow Gaddafi. But then it soon became clear that they’d aided the wrong groups, who were now spreading terror throughout the country, and weren’t staying loyal to us, so they withdrew support for this embassy, trying to wash their hands of it.
  
  After this, how much they knew and intended is very unclear, but there are two main possibilities I see. One, they’ve believed their own lies that if we just play nice with terrorists they’ll be nice back, and they were truly shocked that these same groups actually turned on us. Two, they set Stephens up to be murdered so he couldn’t turn informant on their aid to terrorists earlier — withdrawing 16 guards days before, despite his calls for more, and keeping him assigned there, then doing nothing as the attack unfolded.
  
  It’s even possible they colluded with corrupt elements in Libya like this caser, actually encouraging them to take him out, but motive for that seems more dubious IMO. More likely the caser was working with the terrorists on their own idea to show America who’s really boss, in response to Obama’s clueless convention rallying cry that terrorism was on the run under him, and the administration caught wind of this before it was going to happen and decided to let it happen to silence Stephens.

Honestly, people, if Romney did mention this at a campaign rally—–would it be shown on any of the main media outlets? Yea, Fox would, but we already saw the video showing how Obama fans do NOT watch Fox News. He could mention it Sunday or Monday, I suppose—bomb shell effect! I suspect we would only know about it on this site and on Fox and on Talk Radio.

Who sent the information to media outlets in the Middle East that allowed them to show “The Innocence of Muslims” on television prior to the embassy atttacks?

Which caused the Embassy to issue a statement condemning the film before the protests started?

Didn’t Ambassador Stevens die of smoke inhalation? One of those fancy smoke mortars, I guess, that take 7 hours to reach there targets?

During the attack Stevens taken to fairly secure room, but the terrorists once they overran the compound, they poured diesel fuel all around the room that was not sealed, but had barred doors. The following flame filled the area with thick acrid black smoke. Two security personnel managed to get out through a window and another went through a hatch in the roof but was too seriously injured with his smoke inhalation. He was able to radio or phone others about their state at the time. The two who went out the window to escape the smoke managed to return back into the room, and as the attack waned made it out with what was later to be determined the deceased or very near deceased Stevens. They escaped to the CIA site which was overrun too.

Mr. Beck was just talking about why the MSM isn’t covering the ‘Sandy’ situation correctly, or this Benghazi debacle. They are both tied together Glenn. If you wanted marshall law, and the government into every aspect of people’s lives then you have to either; let the problem get bad enough on its own, or create a situation where it gets bad enough that the body polis demands action. This administration is running guns all over the world to rogue regimes, and they have degradated the “people helping victims system” so completely that the government has to step in and finance the whole shooting match for ‘Sandy.’ THEY want complete and unquestioning control of ‘We the People!’

If one Muslim from any nation kills an American that nation loses a city in an aerial attack, two Americans, they lose two cities. That way they police themselves as they should be doing right now. Let them fear every night that the bombs may fall because one of their own has done something against America. We have tried everything else, money, food, medical assistance, democracy, but unfortunately death is all they understand. Time to deal death to them on a scale that will get their undivided attention and give the mythical moderate Muslim some skin in the game. They can be civil or be annihilated, their choice.

Looks as if they were planning this well before 9/11, atleast as early as the 9th. Were they protesting anywhere at that time? I wonder if Stevens mentioned the lack of security and cooperation to his superiors? It will all come out in due time, and if its after the election (which is what the Democrats are trying to do) then we can try and impeach him if hes elected.

Four American citizens have been killed one was an ambassador, the living representation of the United States in a foreign country. What have we(Obama) done in response? Lie about it and a promise to track down those who killed our citizens. Well Obama, WHERE ARE THEY?! What have you done to show a strong retaliation for our ambassador’s MURDER!?
