‘Turn Black!’: Jimmy Kimmel Visits NYC Barbershop to Find Out How Romney Can Win Over Black Voters

Jimmy Kimmel Goes to Barbershop to Get Advice for Romney on Black Voters

This week, late-night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel headed over to Levels Barbershop on Fulton Street in Brooklyn, New York, to ask how Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney can win over black voters. In addition to asking “if” this is possible, the comedian also pondered “how” success in this area can be reached.

“I want to ask you guys some political questions,” Kimmel told the barbers, noting that Obama is winning among black Americans by a margin of 94 percent to 3 percent.

Among the more notable moments was when Kimmel asked the barbers what definitive steps Romney can take to secure more African American voters. The controversial answer came from one of the men who candidly said, “Turn black!” Another added, “Drop out of the race.”

Not all of the comedian’s joke were election related. Among other questions, he asked, ”From a barber’s perspective, what do you think of Mitt Romney’s hair?”

One barber called it “decent” and another said “I don’t like it.” As for whether ”Mitt Romney has mad flava,” the group overwhelmingly said he does not (they also disagreed with the notion that Mitt Romney is their “boo”).

Of course, this isn’t the first time Kimmel has sought political advice from African American barbers. Shortly after Obama took office, he attempted to gain information about appropriate jokes he could make about the president:

I guess he didn’t think Planned Parenthood, Acorn, or a visit to a Muslim Brotherhood dining PBS would film well.

It is to bad that Jimmie didn’t have the balls to state some of the facts about the black community that are less than stellar since the Obama administration has been in office. And does the fact that all the black men in that room that are going to vote for Obama because he is black make them racist?

Uh, I would bet money that the owner of that barber shop was not present and those barbers were employees. I wonder what the owner’s thoughts and opinions would have been if he had been present.

At the end of the “Romney” bit in the barbershop, Kimmel is told to pay for a haircut he didn’t receive. Kimmel responds, “that sounds Republican!” Idiot! Asking to be paid for doing nothing most definitely sounds like a democrat through and through!

It’s always surprising when people don’t understand that it is just as racist to vote FOR somebody because of skin color as it is to vote AGAINST somebody because of skin color.

Just another reason late night television is a waste of time and money, and supports the entitlement mentality, for the most part. Also, hopefully, the reason the next President won’t waste time on these jokers, and get America back on track, and hopefully these sources will not be backed by viewers to the point plugs across the nation, to televisions, will be unplugged, since most of what is watched today, has little value on our reality, morality and commonsense…including news/media/journalists.

Doesn’t seem to be any outrage at the racist statement “turn black” as to why they can’t vote for him does there? They yell it out in public but all I hear is that the Republican party is full of racists.

I bet you not one person in that shop can make a cognitive argument in favor of Obama. Their vote is for no other reason than he looks like them.

So does Herman Cain. But, he believes in people working for what they want; not government handouts on the backs of the achievers. They won’t go for that.

I am tired of the race card. It is not valid unless everyone can use it…not just blacks. I will vote for Romney. I think he is the best candidate. I don’t have to explain why. If I want to vote for him because he is white….that is my business. I think that a whole race of black people voting for a known failure, and a known marxist-muslim leaning foreigner, just because he is black…… is racist. I think that black so-called Christians who vote for a black.,…knowing of his anti-Christian leanings….is racist and non-Christian. The racist in this scenario are the blacks…not the whites.

I do wish everyone will stop dividing us up as black or white, it not a black & white issue, it is about who will do a better job at creating JOBS, bring up the ECONOMY. This is the prority in our Country right now

Remember Obama is 1/2 wht, and 1/2 bl. so he technically he is both. Yes he does like his black side. If Romney was black these barbers & cust. felt they could have a choice but because Romney is white, there was no choice but Obama never mind either ones policies and who would better the Country. That is not how you vote for A Camander in Chief its JOB creations and the ECONOMY. How stupid can people be?

Obama has NO big Achievements in the last 4 yrs in office. Obama has spent more money than all Pres. in History COMBINED. Money we did not have, and it will take 30 yrs to pay off, and he wants to borrow more this coming yrs. You don’t spend money you don’t have. He has weakening and is destroying our Economy

Stop all Foreign Aid and clean up our own mess. We need to pay off China, and save money for disasters as there will, never be an end to them

I hate to write this but, Whites do not have White History Month or Black Colleges. If whites even brought up the subject of White History Month or white colleges the blacks would be all over us. Why the difference?
We all need to get along. Put this antimosity toward our enemies. Join the Military. Finish school get an education there is always a way to do it Career Welfare is not the answer

Reminds me so much of the line from “Working class hero” by John Lennon. “You think that you’re so cleaver classless and free, but you’re still f-ing peasents as far as I can see.” I grew up amongst black people and I love them, it’s the ignorant ones who refuse to come away from the plantation I hate.

Shows where the real racism exists.

Opinion poll after opinion poll show that blacks agree with the republican party positions far more than the democrat positions.

History shows the democrats have always been an enemy of the black population, from the southern governors to the KKK to blocking the civil rights legislation in the 60′s.

Blacks however don’t care how much they are being abused. They will vote for Obama simply because of his skin color, just as they have voted democrat simply because Jessie Jackson told them to in the past.
