Have You Heard About the Rush Limbaugh, Brian Williams Feud? This Will Get You Caught Up
Conservatives and the mainstream media have a complicated relationship, to put it lightly. However, the schism between the two got personal this week when NBC’s Brian Williams and conservative talk radio host Rush Limbaugh went at each other over their differing opinions.
Williams first called out Limbaugh for saying New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie acted as a “Greek column” for President Obama in the wake of Hurricane Sandy. During the closing monologue of his Thursday night NBC broadcast, the anchor said: “After all this loss you might be curious as to why Rush Limbaugh went after Gov. Christie today. It was because he was getting along so well with the president, working together, saying nice things about Barack Obama.”
“Just when we think the storm wiped away everything, we learned politics survived,” he added.
On Friday, Limbaugh responded to the NBC anchor’s attacks, saying “I thought Brian Williams liked me. Apparently not anymore.”
He then hit Williams for “living a cloistered life” and claimed he misunderstood why he was actually upset with Christie’s interaction with Obama.
After teeing up, Limbaugh then blasted Williams and NBC over the network’s lack of coverage on the Benghazi scandal.
“Let me ask you: Have you watched your network lately?” Limbaugh asked, a question directed at Williams. “Have you watched your sister or brother network, MSNBC, lately? You guys have your own mess to clean up there. Because you and your colleagues, you’re not only destroying news and journalism in this country, you’re not even doing your job.”
He continued: “Does Benghazi ring a bell to anyone at NBC? Does the name mean anything? I know it’s not as cool as Iran-Contra or Watergate or Katrina — those all involve Republicans. But you know, Brian, four Americans died, as it turns out, unnecessarily. They were murdered. And people were trying to get answers, and NBC doesn’t care. NBC is helping to cover it up.”
Rush twice mentioned that he thought Williams “liked” him, hinting that the two may have had some kind of working relationship. That relationship, whatever it was, appears to be over.

I don’t have a problem with him groveling up to Barry, all states Governors would do the same thing when they need government assistance in a disaster, but Christie got a little terse with several pressers telling me that he gets stressed over stressful situations. A real leader would show leadership and not grovel at people who are just doing their jobs. I wonder what he would do in a real stressful situation like a nuclear war as president? Would he tear the heads off of the secretary of defense? I doubt that I would vote for him now if he decides to run for higher office. Compare Christie to Governor Jindal who is a master at hurricanes, Christie is just not in the same league.

Calling Rush Limbaugh a drug addict is pretty low. We all know he had some issues with prescription drugs after a back surgery. He has since dealt with those isssues. I wonde when Obama quit smoking all that pot and experimenting “enthusiastically” with the other drugs he describes in his auto-biography? Between him and Clinton you have had back to back admitted pot heads in the white house with no known time of cleaning up or kicking the habit.

Those that think he is the end all be all conservative need to re-think. Here is the reason. Do you ever see an out pouring of media attacks on him? No. Why not? Because he is one of them. So he went after the teachers unions to get budgets straightened out. Great for him I applaud that. Why wasn’t he attacked in the media and by the unions like the Governor of Wisconsin was? And when they feel the time is right to talk about these subjects to give the impression that Romney’s administration is not working, they will begin in earnest to tell the truth about how bad things are now and have been for years, but will make it APPEAR to be Romney’s administration failure to successfully deal with the problems. He won’t be able to use the same excuse Obama gave that it was much worse than what he was led to believe, regardless of how true that is. Maybe the alternative media will still try to get some facts out. Be aware if Romney wins there will be an all out effort to rewrite the Obama mess history and saddle the Romney administration with Obama’s horrendous mess. Why? The liberal democratic ideology is at stake. That cannot be perceived to have caused or added to the myriad problems we have today.

I’ve listened to talk radio for 20 years as a truck driver. While Rush has many friends in the Republican establishment,Glen Beck holds his own without fear of reprisal or undue criticism from ‘colleagues’. Glen Beck is his own man and so is Rush.
They both are American treasures and fall under the heading of modern day Patriots.Our Founders would be very proud of these 2 men.There are many others,but in my opinion they talk the talk and have walked the walk.

You’re right, you’re fare, you do your homework and know what you’re talking about when you talk to us every day. I’ve taken the initiative to do my own research and when a topic comes up among friends and family, I can hold my own with words and facts to back them up. I can go beyond talking points. I know there are more folks out there who love this country and what it is for us as we were growing up. Not only for ourselves, but for our parents and grandparents. This is the most important time and knowledge will make us stronger. Can’t rely on the Brian Williams’ of the media world now, can we?
Before I step off my soapbox, I must beg The Blaze TV to make a deal with DirecTV….please?

We the people are supposed to stand with and support our president, along with our neighbors in a time of crisis. Chris Christie was willing to put partisan politics aside for this occasion. I strongly suggest that all GOP/Conservative members of Congress put aside politics and work with the president to get things done. As for people on the blaze, I suggest you all accept defeat graciously if Obama wins and be more supportive of him. After the election is complete, both parties should be united to solve the problems.

Obama’s jobs plan would have reduced the debt if the GOP hadn’t blocked it. Ronald Reagan also borrowed and spent money in order to create growth. The GOP wants to balance the budget and that would harm our economy because we have so much debt. The solution to the debt problem is Obama’s jobs plan.
Also, today’s jobs report was in Obama’s benefit. It is proof that our country is on the road to recovery. If Obama is re elected, we will be seeing less than 5% unemployment. The total work force rose by 78,000 in October and more jobs are becoming available. This jobs report restores Obama’s credibility in handling the economy.
The greatest job creators such as Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, and Snoop Dogg have endorsed Obama
