Rudy Giuliani Calls for Obama to Resign, Says Americans Killed in Libya May Have Died Because of Incompetence in the White House

Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani said President Barack Obama should resign over the state of the economy and that the Americans killed in Libya may have died because of “incompetence in the White House.”

“[The Obama administration is] content with 7.9 percent unemployment, they’re real excited today because unemployment didn’t go back to 8 percent…they should be ashamed of themselves,” Giuliani thundered at a major campaign rally for Mitt Romney in Ohio Friday night.

“He should resign! He told us he would resign if he did this poorly,” Giuliani continued, referring to Obama’s “one-term proposition” 2009 remark on if he couldn’t turn the economy around in three years. “He lied. He has been a disaster. The worst president for our economy in our lifetime. He doesn’t want a second term. He wants a second chance, because he screwed it up the first time.”

The one-time GOP presidential candidate said that if the country had had someone with Romney’s experience in charge, “maybe something like what happened in Libya could have been avoided.”

“Maybe if we had a president who was paying attention we wouldn’t be going through all this investigation of what’s being covered up in Libya,” he said. “You know that what happened in Libya is the result, at least, of incompetence. You think if we had elected John McCain president of the United States, those people wouldn’t have had the full resources of the United States there in Benghazi trying to save them?”

Giuliani said Americans will have “a chance to right that wrong” on Tuesday.

“We’ve got the chance to elect a commander in chief who will not leave Americans behind,” he said. “I believe some Americans who might not have had to die may have died because we had incompetence in the White House.”

Come on folks, leave Obama alone. Remember he makes no decisions without confering with Valerie Jarret. You need to be going after her. Obama has only experience in community organizing and following orders from other people. When he signed up for this job from the Democratic Party he was told that others would make the decisions and he could play golf every day.

May have died because of incomptence in the White House? Come on Rudy, you normally “tell it like it is!” Yes, total incompetence in the White House and in the whole administration! No doubt about it whatsoever. The US is now a paper tiger with no experienced leadership at the helm. We’re just very lucky that only 4 died and not 34! Evidently the Ovomit administration has sequesterd/threatened the 30 individuals who did escape as there have been none of them that have been allowed to speak publically. Once they do start commenting, I do wonder what information will come out. Of course it will be way after electon day.

@rjj, Sorry, gonna disagree :). the UN security council authorized use for military force, Congress was just consulted. We followed a UN resolution….. Congress is only supporting the UN’s authorization, Not a declaration of war.

Where? Are we talking the war powers act? I did not see formal declaration of war by congress, Just a UN resolution.

“Last week, during a hearing in the House International Relations committee, I attempted to force the committee to follow the Constitution and vote to declare war with Iraq. The language of Article I, section 8, is quite clear: only Congress has the authority to declare war. Yet Congress in general, and the committee in particular, have done everything possible to avoid making such a declaration. Why? Because members lack the political courage to call an invasion of Iraq what it really is – a war – and vote yes or no on the wisdom of such a war. Congress would rather give up its most important authorized power to the President and the UN than risk losing an election later if the war goes badly. There is always congressional “support” for a popular war, but the politicians want room to maneuver if the public later changes its mind. So members take half steps, supporting confusingly worded “authorizations” that they can back away from easily if necessary.”

“It’s astonishing that the authorization passed by the committee mentions the United Nations dozens of times, yet does not mention the Constitution once. Congress has allowed itself to be bypassed completely, even though much is made of the President’s generosity in “consulting” legislators about the war. The real negotiations took place between the Bush administration and the UN, replacing debate in the people’s house. By transferring its authority to declare war to the President and ultimately the UN, Congress not only violates the Constitution, but also disenfranchises the American electorate.

I don’t believe in resolutions that cite the UN as authority for our military actions. America has a sovereign right to defend itself, and we don’t need UN permission or approval to act in the interests of American national security. The decision to go to war should be made by the U.S. Congress alone. If Congress believes war is justified, it should give the President full warmaking authority, rather than binding him with resolutions designed to please our UN detractors. ”

“When Congress issued clear declarations of war against Japan and Germany during World War II, the nation was committed and victory was achieved. When Congress shirks its duty and avoids declaring war, as with Korea, and Vietnam, the nation is less committed and the goals are less clear. No lives should be lost in Iraq unless Congress expresses the clear will of the American people and votes yes or no on a declaration of war.”

having a memo saying “determined to attack” and possibly want to use airplanes to do it, does not constitute actionable intel. They only way to stop an attack where you have no idea of the target or launch point would be to shut down the entire air traffic system. They had no idea of even when such an attack was planned to occur, so shut down air traffic indefinitely. good call, moron.

Contrast Rudy with Doomberg — Rudy would have been speaking everyday on the clean-up and progress being made — he would have visited every borough and decided on a plan of attack. He would have exuded confidence and brought IMMEDIATE results.
Christie was obviously emotional and needed to beg for money as a Republican (I am giving him the benefit) but P-PEEte Obama has NOT done a good job, he is like most Democrats making many promises that won’t be kept as he does a stage left — way left.
Benghazi — is not a small matter — he may not have known that they were going to be killed ( again a benefit) but the reasoning behind not sending help was definitely political– Jimmy Carter loomed large in the planning room that afternoon. Pee- Peete look it up as your education probably skipped that defining moment in History.

      @Patty:

I’ve already been warning people of its probability happening. In most cases I talk to people to be ready for the loss of power and disruption of food/water and such in the event of a natural disaster, trucking strike, oil embargo (aka 1970s) and to keep as close to one month on hand at the minimum.

Many of us here who follow the patterns of history and understand the insanity of Obama and his cronies have gotten the word around of civil unrest in addition to all the others above. This has been heightened by some of the Occupy Phoenix lunatics promising to ‘reduce the city to ashes for a failure to elect the king (Obama)” and yes those are the exact words I heard.

My relatives refuse to listen for the most part, and the rest say ‘I cannot afford any kind of preparation’ then I point to the areas hit by Katrina and the recent Hurricane/Superstorm.

I’ve spent the last few days expanding my stores to the best I can, as I cannot get out of the city if things go crazy. I pray God will keep them in check, yet it still never hurts to be prepared.

Rudy Gulliani, Mitt Romney, and a lot of other conservatives have a tendency to “shoot without aiming” as Obama said. There is an ongoing investigation regarding the events of Benghazi, let the investigators do their job. Remember, Colin Powell endorsed Obama because he has faith in Obama’s foreign policy strategy. Colin Powell’s endorsement Obama’s foreign policy strategy is enough to earn trust from Independents and Republicans.

Regardless of what details pop up regarding Benghazi, many Americans are willing to overlook this event when making their decision on Tuesday. This week has been a blessing for Obama because America had the perfect opportunity to see his leadership skills while handling Hurricane Sandy. Even Chris Christie praised Obama’s leadership and said Obama is a leader who says what he means

All these people are the ones that overthrow governments for self gain. Now the UN says sovereignty in NOT a privilege but a responsibility that can be revoked. The ICC, which Bill Clinton helped establish can now prosecute our troops and Israel for protecting itself. WHO DECIDES WHO IS SOVEREIGN OR NOT? Unelected burearucrats who have purchased power or the sweat and blood of a Nation? They are Destroying Nationalism in the favor of Globalism and THOMAS PICKERING is in charge of INVESTIGATING BENGHAZI, LIBYA. OUTRAGEOUS.

PROGRESSIVEPETRGRAD, You forget that Colin Powell has worked for both sides of the fence when first appointed as the Joint Chief of Staff of the military first under Bush 41, then Clinton. Then he resigned as Secretary Of State at the end of Bush 43′s first term. But, that did happen with Clinton’s first Secretary of State too.
As for the Benghazi investigation, what is there to investigate? The FBI sent to Libya was held in Tripoli while the State Department claimed the area was too hot. What was it? Took them 21 to 24 days after the fact to get on scene. Then, they were allowed only about one hour? Again, I ask you, just what is being investigated? They already know IF or WHAT was observed in the Situation Rooms of the White House, Pentagon, and the CIA. Anybody who enters or exits those rooms is logged in or out. If President 0bama was not there, then the logs will reveal just that. Its already there in black and white and on video. If we knew within 24 hours, the tiniest details of the Top Secret bin Laden raid, and now at eight weeks plus the administration is still tap dancing around this? Just how deep into your fourth point of contact do you keep your head?

PIGS: Good info. The ” change” that our New Far Left Democrats ( this is NOT the proAmerica party of JFK and Truman ) have in mind all centers around their distain for all things ” traditionally” American and their love for all things ” international.” ( marriage, ID, secure borders, drugs, gun control , abortion , capitalism , Israel , etc. ) Just like their “Forward” slogan was borrowed from the Communists so is this “change” belief shared with their international UN allies and their international Lefty media. RJJ: Agree. Notice that the NYT , who front -paged all of the details immediately of the Obama/ Osama drama including secrets and sources, and the rest of the Lefty MSM have been silent on Benghazi says more than anything ! They are all in the pocket of the Left . Cover-up..leak..hide. Whatever fosters their agenda. More proof ? Obama’s hidden school records.

No one in NYC see Rudy as anything but a sick joke.

His presidential bid was killed by his refusal to divulge the foreign clients his firm was doing
      MULTI-MILLION dollar consulting for.
Everyone knew they were the SAUDIS. ANd he, the 9/11 mayor.
      Republicans are sick greedy people.

Romney’s refusal to show his non paying fed taxes also helped kill HIS bid.
The MOOLA comes first for these hypocrites.

BARBER2, LOL, I just want PROGRESSIVEPETE to back up his statement and tell us all just what is actually being investigated. He’s just throwing crap to see if any of it will stick to something. I still say that he is a child. He does not know the history of the people, places, or things that he ever mentions here.

Dora – How DARE you presume to speak for me, my family, my friends, and my neighbors…and millions of others. I don’t know nor do I care where YOU come from, but I do know that we have been lifelong NYC residents. Yes, sweetie, we are college-educated, well-read, tax-paying, and, several of us, 20-something year-old New Yorkers. One would even find a college instructor among us (look out Granny Piven!) We ALL wish for the days of Rudy…before the oppressive nanny regime of Grinch-lookalike Mikey Bloomberg.

      Mr. Pete here are some fact about Benghazi that we already know;

1 – The President spent two weeks parading around the country blaming this sad incident on an obscure movie clip when he knew it was a terrorist attack. Why? Because it would show again that his foreign policy which includes bowing and scraping in from of hostiles did not work.

2 – It does not take months to investigate an incident like this. It took less time to investigate the loss of Challenger. However it does take months ot cover it up and try to deflect the American pulbic’s attention.

3 – The President probably watched the incident live and did nothing to stop it ( see remark on foreign policy above) which resulted in the deaths of four Americans

Let’s hope that Americans are smart enough to divest themselves of the worst President in the history of their country this Tuesday. If not then let’s hope that he is impeached for his actions early next year.

KALLI : On Tuesday we will see if capitalism wins over ” anti-capitalism.” When the Democrats allowed that internationally connected , anti-capitalist movement, the OWS, into their Democrat controlled cities, our Democrat said it all : the “change ” that they want to bring to America would make JFK and Truman twirl.
